It was nice but I think they gave us the wrong wine (never even thought to look but we noticed it after a few bottles) the vodka pomodoro was really really chunky with large big tomatoes. I hope they do well because we love the location and the ambiance of this restaurant. We’ve eaten there at least 10 times before.
Food was terrific, beer was cold and the service was excellent!
Always great food and the bar is always the place to sit!
Like eating with family! Great value!
We had heard good things but overall it was just so so for us.
Favorite place to dine! Love the staff, food and the personal touch of feeling like best friends and family. Always fun to go to Pitrelli's!
Food was very bland. We were rushed through our dinner by the waiter, yet the restaurant was practically empty. Not a great experience.
Celebrated our 24th anniversary. First time at this resturaunt. Friendly staff. Amazing, authentic Italian food. Romantic, cozy atmosphere. Great overall experience. We will definitely be returning for many more meals.
we had reservations for 5:30 and even though we arrived 15 min early, they seated us rather than making us wait for the rest of our group. Liberty took excellent care of us. Our order was placed so that nothing overlapped but there wasn’t a delay either. I had the angel hair pasta with Parma’s sauce and meatballs which was delicious. There was so much we had leftovers for Sunday supper. The others in our group enjoyed the seafood and mushroom ravioli options. It’s a great place and I highly recommend it.
Great village small village feel where everybody knows your name!
The restaurant and staff seemed a bit unorganized and confused on who’s station was who’s. I watched multiple servers greet and attempt to wait on the same table. There were a couple large parties in the restaurant do that might have attributed to the confusion. None the less will most likely not be back.
This was our first time going. Unfortunately we were not impressed. We got seated right away (we had a reservation). It took the server over 15 minutes to just take our order. We had to call her over to take it. Then it took an hour to get our dinner and mine wasn’t as I had ordered it. We had to ask her if our dinner was coming soon. At this point I was not going to send it back. She offered to get some onions (which I had ordered for my pasta) but she brought out cold onions. They were not cooked or sautéed and I wasn’t going to put that on my dish. The Italian sausage was over cooked. We had to even ask for refills on our drinks. I’m surprised that the server didn’t inform management that we had concerns on how long things were taking and also knowing that my order came out wrong. Not a place I would recommend.
Our waitress was very nice and answered all of our questions but we had to ask for bread and for olive oil and our food took a very long time. We were with friends and didn’t mind hanging out but some acknowledgement of how long we were waiting would of been nice. Food was good though and we will be back because we usually have a good meal here and the people are nice.
We arrived about ten minutes early for our 6:45 pm reservation but were seated almost immediately. We were seated in the middle section of the dining area between the bar area and the back room. It was not crowded. Our friendly server brought our drinks and salad out fairly quickly but we must have waited more than 30 minutes for our main course. I looked at my watch and it was nearing 7:30pm. My husband said “5 more minutes and I’m paying off the tab and we are out of here.” I enjoyed my ravioli but my son and husband thought the tomato sauce on their meals (lasagna and chicken Parmesan) was a bit bland. We still said that we’d try this restaurant again. Maybe they were short a cook on this Friday night. The atmosphere is old style Italian and the location is easy in and easy out. I’m hoping that the next visit is better.
Disappointing! We like supporting local, non-chain restaurants but this did not live up to the hype. Food was ok but nothing outstanding. Pasta sauce was bland. Entre’s Took forever to arrive. Salad came and group appetizer came together. Had to ask for bread with the entre, when it could have been delivered during the long wait. Not a good value for the price.
Loved this restaurant! We were in town for the Western & Southern Open tennis tournament and wanted to find a local, non-chain place to eat. We were not disappointed! Many menu options. I had the Asiago Gnocchi, and my husband had a sausage/pasta dish. Both were excellent. All of their sauces, dressings, and desserts are made in-house. The atmosphere was cozy and casual. You could dress up but you certainly didn’t have to. There was an outdoor area to sit as well, but we did not sit there. The location was in a quaint little area, walking distance from a few bars. Our server, David, was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The ONLY minor downside was that it is an Italian restaurant, but they didn’t serve espresso. Not a big deal, really. Prices were very reasonable. I would definitely return if we are ever in the area again.
This was our first visit and we were very impressed. Service was good but just a tad slow. The food was hot, delicious, and authentic. We enjoyed ourselves so much, that we are planning on doing our Christmas dinner party here in early December.
As usual they once again met our expectations and above...great choice for dining out
Nice local place. Great service. Fun staff. Thanks
Everything was good!!
Was a very nice neighborhood Italian restaurant with a fantastic staff and excellent food. I really liked the chill ambiance there, it was very nice and relaxing. The staff was incredible and very friendly.
Small and cramped. Food was ok. I had salmon over linguine. The salmon was small and dry so I paid $20 for ligiune which was over cooked. My wife had eggplant parmesan and it too looked and tasted like it was from a frozen precooked package. We were told it was authentic. Being an Italian from NY it is far from authentic. It came recommended but I would not be someone to reccomend Petrilli's to anyone. We cab at least say we tried it. We will not go back.
Server ended up charging our card for another tables meal that was more than $100 more than ours. When asked to speak with a manager about the issue, we were told by him that he couldn't do anything about it, since the owner was out of town for the weekend. So not only did they not offer anything for their screw up, but then they also charged us for our meal, causing over $200 to be locked up on our account in limbo for the next 3-7 days and ruined the rest of our weekend we had planned.
I love Pitrelli’s! It is quite a drive from my residence in Newport, KY but well worth the drive! Amazing italian food!
Server didn’t seem too interested in us. Didn’t tell us about any specials. Another server noticed we didn’t have any bread so he brought us some. Food was OK, nothing special. With an appetizer, wine & tip, spent over $100. Expected a little more I guess.
Food was OK. We have eaten there several times and food is hit or miss.
Never disappoints!! Absolutely one of our favorites!!!
Artichoke risotto appetizer tasted like old fried oil. The service was extremely slow, server never apologized for waiting 45 mins for our entree. Ordered the chicken Marsala-terrible! Tasted gelatin like, no flavor!! I’ve been to this restaurant many times. The last few have not been good. Not sure I will try it again.
Wonderful food, great helpful staff, and a beautiful place to eat at!
We were a large group and were accomodated easily. Service was attentive. My meal was very salty and I could not finish it as a result. Meals were "dated" - I felt like I was eating Italian food from 1980 - and it certainly did not resemble the Italian food we had last year in Italy.
The food was good, but not great for the value. For two kids, two adults our bill was $130. We had 2 glasses of wine, 2 sodas, one appetizer, 3 house salads, 1 small cheese pizza, cheese ravioli, salmon & caper pasta, and the special which was Mediterranean penne with grilled chicken. The special was supposed to have sundries tomatoes, but had grape tomatoes instead. They need to add a kids menu with smaller portions. Even adult portions were very large and we took half of them home. Or include the small house salad in with the adult entree prices.
The homemade salad dressings and sauces were very tasty.
The only downside to my dining experience was the dish I had was sparse on protein (shrimp and sausage).
Excellent meal - food, wine and service. Could not have been better. Will absolutely be back for another great meal
We walked in and there were no other guests, the hostess took us to a SMALL narrow room that only had tables for two in it. No one was sat in there again until we were leaving The server(?) was awhile in getting to us, didn't introduce himself to us and always seemed to be in a hurry to get away from us. We did overhear that they were short staffed but they should have contained their guests all to one room then instead of spreading them around. Our food was okay, we got an antipasto which we always thought came with lettuce and there was none. Lobster, Shrimp & Scallop Ravioli was good but not a lot for the money same as the Sausage and Peppers. We had mentioned to the server that we were diabetics at the beginning and throughout the night he made several rude comments about what we had eaten (bread) and didn't need (dessert). He is lucky he got the tip he did. I had always wanted to eat here and well now I have and it will be a cold day somewhere before I go again!!
Always great. Yummy😋
The food and service were great! I would recommend to anyone who loves food!
Amazing food, food prices, get the gelato, trust me.
Birthday celebration. The service was the worst I have experienced in a long time. Forgot to bring the correct drinks, got a salad dressing wrong - then never brought the replacement. Left the chicken off a pasta dish. When the checks were brought out - gave them to the wrong people. It would have been comical if we weren’t fed up with the bad service by then.
Our dining experience was a bit of a disappointment, with all the positive reviews we saw we were expecting a bit more.
We ordered an appetizer of toasted raviolis, which were okay, but our salads were delivered before we were half done. The house salads were also okay. the mains came before we barely got into our salads... the place was empty, not sure what the rush was to get us out of there...
the mains, chicken parm and seafood ravioli, were a bit of a let down. Maybe we came on a bad night or something but I doubt we will go back. I never like to put a less than favorable review for a non-chain restaurant, but for the price they charged, we didn't have a very good dining experience.
Really good! Can't wait for next time!
