Pitch Pizzeria - West Omaha
My parents were in from out of town and this is one of our favorites. The food is always amazing, the service is impeccable and we always leave having had a great experience.
Was a bit taken back when the host called to reconfirm and advise that we would only be allowed 2 hours. They don’t prefer people to sit around and talk when they are busy. My group considered cancelling and going somewhere else but thought it’s Wednesday can’t be that busy and if is will take our business somewhere else later. Service was great . Food so -so. I have had better meals here before. The restaurant was not busy at all and we stayed until 9pm. We did ask the server at 730 when we placed more drink orders if she was needing us to leave she said no. We get restaurants don’t make money on people sitting around and not ordering but we do and trust me, this group of 5 women will share this type of message with many friends. Not sure I will return to Pitch anytime soon.
The entrees were great; pizza, burger, and salad. We ordered the chocolate cake for birthday dessert and it was NOT chocolate cake. It tasted stale and the filling was sour. The cake was tasteless. It was nice that the waiter took it off of our ticket. The waiter was not personable or attentive and seemed slow. Perhaps being busy was perceived as disinterest in our table.
Food was awesome.
Great food, service with Luke was ah-mazing!
Great on company dime. Pricey for my own pocket. One pizza was completely burnt on bottom but manager deleted from our bill.
Very expensive for what we got. Super dark. Also was served a drink in a broken glass and actually had a piece of glass in my mouth. Server just said she would get us another. No apology or comp drink. Just kind of a weird experience.
Pitch never disappoints! My husband and I shared the bone in pork chop it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing!
We have been to Pitch several times for, “girl’s night.” I’ve never been that impressed, but now I’m even less impressed. I want to like it, I do, it just always falls flat.
Upon arrival, we were told we had the table for two-hours because they had a reservation for our table at 7:45. That was a first for all of us. We had never been given a time-limit. We ordered our drinks, but did not decide on dinner immediately. We ordered, and then our entrees came out one at a time over approx. 10-minutes. Our waitress was busy, but did her absolute best. The food was just okay. Pretentious comes to mind, now, when thinking about going here again.
Happy hour drinks are a joke. Watered down. Martini is SMALL. Food was decent but not noteworthy. Overrated in my opinion.
Food was great - except it is their policy to bring g the items out as they e done - the pizza was brought out a good 20 minutes before the steak - not fantastic
Our waiter was training and let’s just say needs a bit more
Overall - great atmosphere and food with a few glitches
Make reservations or you will likely have to wait! Food is AMAZING... especially the meatballs and truffle fries on their appetizer menu.
Great food. I had the avocado toast from the brunch menu. Eggs were cooked perfectly. A little overpriced.
great server. kill the flies, way too many flying around
Food was good but not as good as they have it priced. Server was pleasant but was in a hurry and grabbed our plates then asked if we were finished and wanted a to go box. Overall a good experience but to many other places in Omaha just as good and not as expensive.
Our waitress was great - and for our large group of people, despite all of the food being freshly made things came out quickly and close to each other! Our waitress was incredibly attentive and patient and our experience was great!! Thank you!!
Was not impressed with the brunch. There was no kids menu for brunch items. My biscuits and gravy came out right away but still seemed cold and bland. The french toast was a small portion that my kids had to share. It was nothing special. Overall very overpriced brunch but I would probably eat here again. Dinner is much better.
Waiter was good. Food was good, but pretty pricey for what you get overall. It is always too loud in this location, I like to hear what others around me are saying not the music, especially at a Sunday brunch.
Served two raw steaks that were ordered medium. Never got to eat dinner. But at least my check was over $100 for two people.
Pizza here is fantastic. Will be back for more.
We enjoyed prior visits to Pitch but this visit is what others warned us about. The pizza crust is soggy. Prices are too high for the experience. The waitress was snotty. Didn’t even introduce the new person she was training. We were rushed in and out. $100 for a family of four sharing is ridiculous.
It was a very pleasant dining experience. It was our first visit . Our waiter was excellent . Luke took care of all our needs, was a very pleasant , cheerful ,man w a sense of humor. Luke really made our visit enjoyable! The food was good and my companion was happy w the pizza crust thickness-just right! Not too thin. Not too thick.
My shrimp entree was good but not much flavor. I would not order again. The Italian sausage pizza was tasty but the sausage was WAY TOO spicey for my taste. I would go again but order salad next time w protein addition. It was clean and attractive . Weather was a little cool. Not sure how warm the concrete environ would be on a really cold Nebraska day .
Always my go to place...never a bad experience. I left wishing I would have taken leftovers home but there were none! Not even a crumb. I ordered one of the specials that evening...honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in years. Top 5 ever. It was the Kurobuta pork short ribs with peach BBQ sauce, farro risotto and zucchini fries. I hesitated ordering it because I always order the same thing (shrooms pizza and Brussels Sprouts with pistachios and shrimp) but stepped out of my comfort zone and so happy I did!!! Better yet it was my birthday dinner with great friends! We walked out of there VERY HAPPY! Thanks Pitch!
Disappointing dinner. For a higher end restaurant you serve cans of pop? Not happy about that. We ordered numerous pizzas and the one for the kids was burnt on the bottom-as in completely black and hard. This place was too expensive for what you actually get. Doubt I will be going back.
Appetizers were excellent. Meatballs are a favorite and artichoke dip was creamy and buttery. Ordered a bottle of platinum red wine which was half price and very smooth.
The two pizzas were also excellent and more than enough for 4 people. Because the upstairs was booked for a private function, staff called to confirm my reservation and said we were allowed to stay for 1.5 hours. Then when we were seated staff again reminded our party could only stay dining for a limited time. Anyone else had that type of request from Pitch??
As always, we had amazing service, great food and drinks. A great time was had by all!
Came in town to visit and Pitch was one of my favorite places to eat when I lived here. The food, atmosphere and service is always above outstanding.
Excellent service, staff was very helpful and had good suggestions. Food and drinks were delicious too!
Celebrating a birthday
Our table was way too small for 6 people and have room for food and wine
We were there prior to heading to the play. My wife and I split a pizza and the kids had a pasta dish they had in the past. The pizza didn’t have a ton of flavor and the pasta wasn’t very good compared to what the kids had in the past.
I am never disappointed in the pizza at Pitch. We enjoy meeting there for Happy Hour when we have a pizza and a bottle of wine. Both of these can be packaged to take home to enjoy the following day. It is definitely a favorite place to enjoy good food and excellent service .
I think it's a bit overpriced but always delicious and it's a great vibe. We were celebrating our daughters birthday - she picked Pitch. The files were fantastic, brussels sprouts were good but they didn't blow me away, the tiramisu was perfect, not too sweet and served with salted caramel gelato. With zero cocktails, zero appetizers, and two splitting a meal the tab for four was still $130+. Pretty pricey so can't go as often as I'd like.
Pitch is a staple. It’s amazing.
Consistently good food - salads and pizza are always delicious. My biggest complaint is that it’s so loud that it’s hard to have a conversation. The red wine was served room temperature- too warm... couldn’t drink it.
Our server was awesome. I got there a little bit early and he was super great about it. Made sure I got the best deal for the different specials going on. Pizza was amazing. The spinach dip was comparable to abblebees... so I would not suggest, other than that it was awesome!
Our wine, salad and pizza were great. We had an excellent waiter as well.
