   This was our second time dining at Piropos and both times were 5-star experiences. The Empanadas are the perfect appetizer; make sure you get a variety because they are all worth trying. Steak, chicken, pork chops, and seafood have all been reported as excellent by our party members for main courses. I had the peppercorn encrusted steak and the steak medallions for my two visits and will struggle to try anything new when I go back because they were both so good. The service was friendly, prompt, and the recommendations by our server were tailored and thoughtful. It’s a great date or special occasion dining experience with a beautiful view of the Kansas City skyline out of the main window. I highly recommend.

   We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary with piropos and it was a great choice. Everyone we spoke with was warm and inviting, our server Jd was great and made our visit a little extra special. The food was good and the restaurant itself has a lot of character, we’ll be visiting again, highly recommend.

   The food was really perfect- the two of us were celebrating our 35th anniversary and shared everything. Service very good and the kitchen spaced out each course very well. I wish we had been offered a better table for our special anniversary ( I included the info in our reservation) but luckily it wasn’t overcrowded when we were there so not overly loud. We had a wonderful experience overall.

   Mixed grill and medallions are always good. Best augratin potatoes in town. But, $18 for a shot of Johnny Black is ridiculous.

   Entering into the lower level of the restaurant there is an “old house” odor. Upon making it upstairs you’re greeted with crafty/stuffed old ladies…kinda odd. The seating area was awkwardly quiet and despite being nearly empty they seated us right next to another couple. Food was pretty good, especially the empanadas. The filet mignon burger was good but extremely salty. Not sure we’ll return.

   Piropos is a true Kansas City gem! There is a good reason Travis K wanted to bring Taylor S here on a special date. The atmosphere is great; fun, interesting, uniquely classy but comfortable; the wonderful and charming owner's special touch is seen everywhere! The food is always fresh and outstanding quality, from salads to sauces to seafood/fish and beyond! The service lines up as great as food and ambiance. PIROPOS is great as both a special date night in their dining room with amazing views of the downtown KCMO skyline, or the friendly bar with the "everybody knows your name " feel. Don't miss this wonderful dining experience!!!

    A friend and I went to Piropos for Easter brunch after church. Several choices - we both enjoyed the breakfast items that we selected plus the Brie cheese appetizer. I have enjoyed dinners at Piropos for several years but this was the first time for brunch.
