We enjoy Pier W for its lake views, classic elegance and consistent excellent quality of food and service. A definite gem in Cleveland’s culinary crown!
There was hair in the bowl of soup that was ordered. The waitress did bring a fresh bowl of soup to the table however Pier W. could have given us the soup for free. I still left a 20$ tip regardless just because the waitress was very nice.
I can not begin to describe how incredible our experience was on May 20th, 2018 at Pier W! Upon walking into the restaurant we were already captivated and the. Greeted by a lovely set of hostess’; they soon led us to our table....THE BEST table in the house!!! Front and center at the main window, staring into Lake Eerie and Downtown Cleveland, simply breathtaking!!! We felt as if we were on a cruise ship without the movement, since it looks like you are hanging over the Lake! Our waitress, Helen, was the epitome of upper echelon service! She had her timing down perfectly and her charisma and smile are things to come back for on there own! The meal was exquisite, best Calamari I have ever had; also, the Redfish dish is a MUST TRY, a delightful spin on Shrimp and Grits! We will definitely be coming back :)
Best seafood restaurant in Cleveland! The service was phenomenal and the restaurant sits right on Lake Erie providing a beautiful view of the water and city. We came here to celebrate a graduation and it was the perfect setting to do so.
My husband took me to Pier W for Sunday brunch to celebrate Mother's Day. This is my favorite place to eat and I look forward to it for weeks before the event. The Sunday brunch starts you off with a warm pastry and champagne or a mimosa. You can find almost anything you can think of to eat, all of it delicious and fresh - smoked salmon, steamship round, scallops Newburg in lobster sauce, bouillabaisse, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, omelet-to-order, waffles-to-order, garlic chicken in a delicious Asian sauce, a huge array of salads and desserts ... you get the picture. My big regret: I didn't have enough room to try all the offerings I wanted to. Service is Excellent (Elvis took care of us): attentive, quick, efficient and courteous. We requested, and were seated at, a window seat overlooking the lake and took in the scenery to live piano playing quietly. We had a wonderful time and will go back again. And again (and again and again)! Thanks, Pier W!
Absolutely love this place for any occasion, never a disappointment which is rare in contemporary times.
Took my girlfriend here, i probably didnt come prepared, the drinks were amazing and the food was delicious. My dumb self went there on a half full stomach. Not a great idea. The waiter was nice though, and the view was absolutely beautiful.
Jessica was awesome! The drinks were so good! I would recommend this place to anyone!
What a place! The view is more than spectacular and the food is literally to die for. my boyfriend and I go two different dishes and could not stop raving over them even the next day. ur server was so professional but also super fun and witty. Its a pretty penny to dine here but you are getting what you pay for:perfection.
It was a special occasion and I believe I was given the best table in the restaurant. Service was outstanding but not “hovering.” Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their appetizers, drinks , meal and dessert.
We have our Anniversary dinner here every year. The experience is consistently excellent. The atmosphere and views are great.
Still a wonderful place to take a guest...good food, fabulous service, and a view that is superb. However, we've been there several times in the last few months...actually even during an entire year - and the menu NEVER changes. Would be good to change it up a tad :)
My husband and I took my mother to Pier W for a belated Mother's Day dinner and had a wonderful experience. It was my mother's first visit to Pier W, so we wanted everything to be special. Our server (I wish I could remember for certain, but I think her name was Ellen) was both personable and professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the sources of the food. Even though we didn't have a table right by the water, the atmosphere and view were stunning. All our dishes were delicious - we had shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half shell, the diver scallops carbonara, the tuna, and the halibut special. For dessert we shared the lucious semifreddo. I was also excited to see a Gruner Veltliner on the wine menu!
We arrived and were promptly seated at the window that we requested. The cocktails were very good and so was the meal. The waitress seemed to be busy with other people and did not pay much attention to us--however, all the other times that we visited Pier W the wait staff was outstanding. The food also was very good, but not as good as in the past. I ordered the twin lobster tails and one of the tails was a bit too chewy--again, I had never experienced this before. I will definitely go back again and would also recommend this restaurant to others.
One of our favorite Cleveland restaurants. Always consistently excellent service and food. Menu offers something for everyone. And the best VIEW in town!
Always an amazing meal, great staff that are very accomidating. Amazing brunch as well.
Favorite Restaurant! Beautiful view! Best view in Cleveland and the food is Delious!
Absolutely impeccable service!!! Not a fan of kids in a restaurant and if they were there I didn't hear them. Took my niece for her first Mother's Day without her Mother, as my sister passed in January and this was her FAVORITE PLACE, We took a moment on the patio and spread her ashes along with my Mother in the Lake it was very very memorable, what was a very difficult day for us, turned out to AMAZING!!! Keep doing what you're doing I just was so very impressed.
We went for mother's day. Food was excellent. Our waiter Amos was excellent. Very friendly, helpful and down to earth. We never ran out of drinks which is a big deal for me. The food was delicious. The view was amazing. A little pricey but overall experience was excellent.
Outstanding staff and service. Can't wait to visit again!
My wife and I were here for her birthday. We were seated by a window with a great view of downtown. As usual, great service and excellent food. I don’t think you would be disappointed with any dish on there menu. Perhaps a bit pricey but worth it.
We were quickly seated to our table and even though we weren’t by the window you can see the lake 360 from every part of the restaurant. The service wasn’t the best as we waited almost an hour for our food and our waitress didn’t stop by to check on us that often as we had to flag her down when we needed something. Overall it was a great experience!
Once again Pier W provided fantastic seafood, prompt seating and fantastic views of Lake Erie.
We contend that the lobster bisque is the best in NE Ohio!
Pier W never disappoints! This time I got engaged outside on the patio & the service we received inside made our special night even better. We received complimentary champagne and many staff members congratulated us. The view is spectacular at Pier W, it makes you feel as if you're on a cruise ship.
Waited 20 minutes even with reservation. Average age is 70.
The lobster papardelle was awesome as were the arctic char and the ever dependably delicious scallops. Our waitress was efficient, not friendly or engaged which is unusual for this restaurant.
Great food great views and great service what else is there to say go there for the food the drinks and the view
We were visiting the Cleveland Clinic and had one evening free - Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or a great meal? We chose the latter and indeed had a great meal at Pier W recommended by the concierge in our hotel. The view was stunning and they serve the best Lobster Bisque we have ever had (and we have tried them all)! The fresh fish was excellent as was the service. We don't want to go to back to the clinic but wouldn't mind another trip to the restaurant.
Our "Welcome Back To Ohio" dinner for my mother visiting from Iowa was outstanding, as always. Jessica, our server was absolutely wonderful--professional, courteous, a fine sense of humor--and made us feel welcome and relaxed. She was attentive, but not overbearing, and we look forward to her being our server hopefully many times in future visits. Service was excellent and our food was beautifully presented. The management gave us complimentary desserts in honor of my mother's visit, a classy way to welcome her back! We will be back at Pier W this Sunday for the awesome Mother's Day brunch, which in itself is an amazing experience. Thank you!
Brought my wife her for her birthday and as always, the food, service and ambiance were excellent. Very tasty, well crafted cocktails and extensive wine list to choose from. The short ribs and big eye tuna were both delicious and well executed. Our server, Sean, was attentive but not overbearing and very personable.
My experience was great, the food was flavorful and was made perfectly. Satisfying wine list. Definitely will be visiting again.
My wife and I visited Pier W for our anniversary. The food was excellent, as always. If you are a first timer, the lobster bisque is a must!
We had our wedding here and now we go every year for our anniversary !
Mother’s Day / birthday brunch for parents.
Our experience at Pier W was breath-taking, the food, service, and atmosphere was amazing ,I will go back many times
Pier W is a fabulous restaurant. We went there on May 5 to celebrate our anniversary. Our server, Ellen, was attentive to our every need and personable to boot. She guided us to choices on the menu that fit our palette and preferences. The meal as presented exceeded our high expectations. My lobster tail was succulent. My husband's Block Island swordfish spectacular. We will surely return as often as we can. Thank you! Charlotte and Rip Noble
I took my husband for his birthday and it’s was wonderful. As usual everyone was fabulous and the food was amazing.
Thank you so much
We went to Pier W for our anniversary. We had not been there for many years. We were seated in a table by the windows at the rear of the restaurant (closer to land) and right next to the bar. While the view was nice and the service was excellent, the noise level was very high. Our meals were excellent, although the bouillabaisse was rather salty. Drinks are quite expensive here--$14.50 for a dirty martini and the same for a Manhattan. We splurged on this dinner and had a good time. Next time I'll ask for a seat away from the bar.
Always a great spot for a special occasion. My only complaint is that the bar is too small. If you get to the restaurant too early, you might not be allowed to wait in the bar because it is full. You must stand around the front desk like a walk-in.
Great food, beautiful view, good service. Lunch is an especially good value.
