Our reservations were on a Saturday night, it had snowed and freezing rain a few hours before we arrived at pier W. When we arrived in the parking lot and entrance was covered in sheer ice. I could barely stand to push my wife in her wheelchair to the entrance. We made it to the elevator and proceeded to be seated ! We told the two ladies that were to seat us how bad the conditions were at their entrance way. Didn’t seem to care or inform anybody. We found our waiter was very knowledgeable and provide a good service. My wife and I felt the food quality what is a fair value but not a great value in both taste and quantity. I might recommend that you hire experienced people other than mindless Millennials to greet your customers. It really kind of sets the atmosphere for the remainder of the evening. It would also help to hire additional Staff to make sure your parking lot and entrance is clear or both handicap in the non-handicap customers. Thank you for asking for my opinion
Incredible views. Service. And food. 5 stars! Already planning on going back!
Beautiful and elegant, top notch service level. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
This was our first visit, having heard good things for years. The service was attentive, the food was exceptionally fine, and the view! We had a direct view of downtown Cleveland across the frozen lake. Will definitely come back.
Jessica was a great waitress. Very sweet and provided great service. Thank you Jessica!
Over all the food and service was enjoyable area in front of piano was very crowded with servers and customers all trying to walk back and forth to the buffet .
This is the best Sunday brunch to bring a date. The food was spectacular. The view is amazing. The service (Nancy) was top notch.
It was my birthday brunch with my two coworkers and we had a really great time
Best Sunday brunch in Cleveland
Too expensive, too noisy, & my steak was camouflaged with sauce and garlic. I was disappointed & will not be back, nor will recommend.
I took my girlfriend for Velentine's Day and she absolutely loved everything. Pier W is her favorite restaurant and we will be back.
Everything perfecto...………. server was more then awesome she made the night not as a entertainer but for all the good suggestions that were given
One of the best restaurants we have been to in Cleveland! The food was phenomenal and our waiter, Ricky, was excellent. Highly recommend Pier W,
BEST SEAFOOD IN NE OHIO! Beautiful view and even better the view. Will definitely be going back for a special occasion.
Perfect restaurant for special occasions. Great service, table/seating, food, and ambiance.
Always great food and service and you can't be at the view. Never had a bad word to say from any time I have been there.
Very misjudged place. My server really made my experience bad. He catered to the suit and tie people more. My wife and i were regular fitted and in this particular place you will be overlooked. Treat people equal and wish people didnt just always prefer the best tipper.
Dined at Pier W for Valentine’s Day. Between the two of us we enjoyed the crab cakes as an app, Caesar salad, lobster bisque and for dinner Lobster and Diver Scallops. The meals were delightful and the service was superb. Our cocktails were also fantastic!
We both ordered streaks from the “From the Land” menu. Although we both really enjoyed our steaks I have to say we were both very disappointed in the potatoes. We’ve been there many times before and I look forward to the twice baked potatoes every time. This time, we were both served plain mashed potatoes with our steaks. This was such a disappointment. They even had a very fake taste. For the price we are paying we expected to be served the meal from the menu, we were not expecting a downgrade just because it was Valentine’s Day. When we asked why they weren’t twice baked like it said on the menu and normally, they said that’s what they were serving because of the holiday. It wouldn’t have been a big deal had we known before hand, but I would have asked for different side.
First timer, great ambiance, view, service... Expected a little more flare on food presentation.
Awesome Valentines dinner!!
Swordfish and lobster entrees!!
Oyster sampler of 3 types...all were east coast and excellent!!!
Creme Brûlée and choc cake were outstanding desserts!
5:30 dinner so got to view CLE skyline as it transitioned thru to darkness with the evening lights!!
Very consistent, over 50 years. Good seafood. View of Cleveland downtown and the Lake are nice.
Thank you very much for making Mom's Valentine's Day lunch so wonderful for her.
The only feedback I wish to pass on regards your dress code. While I didn't find any mention of your dress code on your webpage, which I highly recommend you include, I did find it listed as "Business Casual" on your page in OpenTable. That said, I was surprised to see so many other patrons, both men and women, come in wearing worn blue jeans, which I don't think fits in the Business Casual definition. This did take the shine somewhat off our experience because, frankly, Pier W was, and is, an "experience" in and of itself and, customers should respect your restaurant's cultural position in the Cleveland area.
Very truly yours,
Kevin P. Murrow
Amazing time and great food, would recommend for a romantic date
Waited 10 minutes to be sat even though I had reservation. Once sat, we were ignored for at least 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence. Finally someone came to give us water but didn’t offer any other drinks. We ordered our bottle of wine and again, even though the restaurant did not seem too busy, waited 15 minutes to receive it. Did not plan to 200.00 and receive poor and slow service.
Pier W is our favorite restaurant for the scenic view, the delicious food, and the romantic atmosphere. The cedar planked salmon is by far the best we have ever had anywhere and the veggies are just as amazing. We were celebrating multiple special occasions this evening and it was lovely.
Our waitress, Rachael, did an outstanding job. She was friendly, attentive, and very prompt in taking our order and making sure our food was brought out hot and presented well.
Was a great night a very well prepared dinner all of it ! If you have a special occasion to celebrate Pier W is the very special place to take them to. Our dinner was fabulous our waitress Rachel was very attentive she helped top off a meal that was exquisite!! Will return for another.
Always wonderful food, service and atmosphere at Pier W!!!!
Beautiful view of downtown Cleveland- great seafood!
It was the perfect place to take my daughter to lunch since we had not been there in quite awhile. We both ordered salmon and it was cooked to perfection. Out server was extra efficient and very friendly, but not pushy.
Pier W – Revue of 12 February 2019 Visit
My wife and I are not what I would call regular visitors to Pier W, but we have visited on many special occasions over the years. In fact, we always felt that this restaurant was one of the very best restaurants within and close to the Cleveland area. We always referred to Pier W as our special place to dine. So, this week, in keeping with our established custom, we chose to celebrate a part of our 47th wedding anniversary, at Pier W.
The Salmon I ordered consisted of a rather small piece of salmon that was not very tasty, somewhat dry, and barely warm. Since my wife’s meal, a shrimp cocktail and a club sandwich, included French fries, we expected the server to ask if she wanted Ketchup. However, that did not happen, if fact two requests for this sauce were completely ignored. So she just ate the fries without a condiment.
The shrimp cocktail consisted of six large shrimp and cocktail sauce on a large bed of ice. The shrimp were very tasty, but at $18.00, we did not think it a good value.
Overall I would rate the service as poor, our server was not attentive and had to be asked more than once for the Ketchup that never arrived, and did not offer to refill our drinks without us having to “wave him down.”
One more point, I would suggest that you instruct your servers to scrape off the crumbs and wipe the table AFTER the customer(s) leave; not while still sitting there waiting for the check, as happened to us.
A last disappointment: My wife requested a box to take home two quarters of her sandwich. When we checked the box that evening the sandwiches had been virtually crushed into such a very small box that they were melded together; so we threw them out.

It was OK. Obnoxious table behind us I think the whole restaurant heard their conversation obviously nothing pier W can do. Just unlucky
Good food, great view of lake and cleveland.
We enjoyed a short time in the bar area for happy hour, and everyone was prompt in service and very courteous. Our hostesses were very sweet and accommodating. We absolutely loved our server, Rachel. She gave great suggestions and was very personable. All in all just a great evening, excellent service and beyond splendid food!
Been to Pier W multiple times and it is always worth while. Great food, an unparalleled view and the service is always top notch.
Its was amazing. Every time I'm there I enjoy it.
Great!!!! Place !!! First time and definitely not my last.
Absolutely fabulous! Our servers extraordinaire, Ashley and Allison Rock! There were 12 of us and we were all well taken care of. We love the fabulous pianist too who truly makes the already wonderful brunch experience complete. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
