                                            As many times as we have eaten here over the last 7 years, about 20, and have always requested a window table months in advance, we have never been seated anywhere NEAR a window. Last night we were seated at the table farthest from the window…and closest to the bar. Between the piano player and general din of hub-bub we either had to shout or lean in to engage in normal conversation. The calamari was pedestrian with zero pieces of tentacles. Not one. The crab cakes are NOT cakes but rather crab balls barely exceeding the circumference of a quarter and consumed in 4 small bits. Far over-priced. The $15 glass of wine that was ordered showed up as $24 on the bill. Finally, though the service was good we felt rushed to finish our meals in order to turn our table over quickly. Perhaps that was the reason for the good service? In my lifetime I have never seen the patio set up to enjoy cocktails nor food on, always just a bunch of empty chairs. Last night it was completely under reconstruction and seemingly will not be available for anyone’s enjoyment anytime soon. Something has changed at Pier W over the years, and not for the better. And finally, to Open Table…stop making reviewers go down 4 rabbit holes just to receive a verification code in order to leave a review.

                                            Great food. Excellent service. The view of the lake is exceptional. The manager stopped by to ask about our experience. All went well.

                                            We had a great table with a view of downtown. All the staff treated us like royalty. The food was great. We had Bouillabaisse and fresh, flown in Copper River Salmon. The preparation was creative and tasty. We will definitely be back!

                                            Good food. Waitresses was nice and efficient. Food came out in good time. No rush. Prices at higher but fair and the view is great

                                            We were seated promptly at a lovely table, and greeted by Ellen with menu suggestions.we both had salads, one the chopped salad with a crab cake, and a Caesar with salmon. Both were prepared to order and we enjoyed the crab cake and salmon. We succumbed to the warm butter cake with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and cookie crumbs. It was delicious!

                                            Our server, Nicholas was very professional and checking on us just enough. The food was always as has been our experience in the past. Both of our meals were perfectly prepared and came out at just the right amount of time. I had their special, Halibut and my wife had their Salmon patties in their meal. Overall it was a wonderful experience which was very much needed in this crazy life we have made.

                                            First time to Pier W with high expectations of the views of the Lake. I had requested to be seated by the windows in my on line booking. Was very disappointed to be seated by the front door with the view of a bunch of overgrown weeds. When asked if we could sit closer to the windows, where there were several tables available and not used the whole time we were there, with a smirk she said, I'm afraid not. It took just about 10 minutes for us to be addressed by the water server then another 5 for waiter to take our drinks order. Our waiter and the food were very good, but I guess that should be the expected when you spend almost $300 with tip on 3 people. Would I return? I'm not so sure. Although, the Lobster Bisque was to die for!
