Food and atmosphere were great. Our waitress was excellent. Our busboy "Merced" was awesome he was friendly and helpful.
No One came to our table for 20 minutes... super slow service.
We made a reservation for Valentine's day. They called to confirm and we were just pulling in the parking lot. She said that a table opened up early if we wanted to be seated so we got there and were seated right away about 20 minutes before our reservation. The pomegranate margarita was so delicious. The clam chowder so creamy and good and my lobster roll so fresh! All in all a great dinner with my husband.
great scenic view to have a romantic date. I would definitely come back
Service was perfect. And food was delicious.
Great location on the water. Menu is very limited but food was good. Our server seemed very rushed. Prices are a bit high but expected with the cafe location.
Service was quite slow. Order was ok, but fries were missing. They did charge. Food was nothing exceptional. Expensive when it doesn't come with a side. Seating was outside bc of COVID, but the view was nice and the staff and waitress were friendly. Last minute reservation, and it was ok.
We love this place, although service sometimes can be lacking. Fish and chips is amazing and their Pier Margarita is so good! Scenery is beautiful. It's one of our favorite little spots to eat
Outstanding lunch. Terrific view. We'll be back.
This place is closed but online it shows as open. Pease update restaurant status and hours
This is CLOSED. DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY OpenTable has not made it not an option.
It is not open at all...
I drove 100 miles and they were closed. I don’t understand they you guys are advertising open if your establishment is closed
The place is closed!! It’s not open!!!
They did not open. I presume it had to do with Newsom’s lockdown.
We made a reservation for my daughters 16 th birthday and it was gated up
They took our reservation, we went there, but they were closed
It was close!! No sign, no notice, google it said it was open, but it was close!!
Great food, great service, awesome atmosphere!
The Pier Café is situated on the water with an awesome view of the San Diego bay. Gerardo and Micah were awesome hosts and the food was delicious and fresh. The prices not too bad considering it's downtown San Diego. My fave, the battered pickles. I would go again.
Unfortunately the view is the only good thing about this restaurant. The service was Terrible. We waited for almost 10 minutes and no one had been to the table in an almost empty restaurant. The appetizer we ordered was so terrible we sent it back and decided not to continue our dining experience.
Skip this restaurant. Plenty of other places at Seaport Village with a view.
Such a beautiful location! The food and service were excellent! We had the fish & chips & Shrimp Pesto Pasta. The pasta was some of the best I’ve ever had. Staff is super friendly!
Love the view and the food was delicious!!!
The food was excellent. We really enjoyed the view of the Bay.
It's all about the location. The service was fine, they were friendly and checked in once. Both dinners were overpriced and lacking in taste. My potatoes were cold, the sauce on the chicken bland and my husband's vegetables tasted like microwaved frozen veggies. He said the fish was rubbery and also fairly tasteless. We spent almost $70 (including the tip) and still needed to stop at Wetzels to fill up. I'm pretty sure the only reason they are still open is because you can sit over the water and sometimes get a great view of the sunset.
The food wasn’t as delicious as expected and the 7.95 mac and cheese for the kids were small portions of Kraft Dinner. The view was beautiful and still worth going to the restaurant for that alone.
Horrible would never come back here again they ruin my whole valentines night thanks
Amazing view, food was delicious and service was quick.
Meal was over cooked and the edges were burned. Cannot believe any cook would let something like that be served. Service was mediocre at best. This is a turn-over place so if you want a dining experience go somewhere else. The one good thing is the view of Coronado and the Coronado bridge. But you need to be there before it gets dark since once it gets dark you don’t see much.
Ambiance and location were nice. Food was just ok. Service was also ok.
I live in San Marcos and meet my former neighbor from New Hampshire who was attending a conference. I picked Pier Cafe because it was a chilly day but I wanted the feel of being outside. There was a splendid sunset and to my delight the food was delicious! I ordered the salmon and honestly was one of the best dishes I have had in awhile.
Cute place on its own pier. Food not too inspiring. The location makes it
The cafe is a little dated and their outdoor seating is not really outdoor but the view was amazing. The food was good enough to share and the service was outstanding!
Very overpriced. Seems they rely on the view to compensate for poor service and mediocre food.
I’d go back for drinks at a window seat and that’s it if I ever go back...
We left and headed to Top of the Hyatt for dessert. Excellent views, classy, fantastic service and fabulous ambiance.
Service was extremely poor. It took 13 minutes just to have a server stop by the table.
The fries were good. I ordered the fish tacos and there was just too much on them - salsa, guacamole, and lime crema piled on , the flavors didn’t blend well.
Nice restaurant with a good location over the water. If you're looking for something casual with good food and an interesting location and view, this is a good choice.
Literally on the water, you must notnmiss this view. Great for a casual meal.
Seafood was over cooked, but pasta was okay. They need to change to oil in the fryer more frequently or use different one for fish and chips vs onion rings If you stay with burgers fries and simple food, you are probably better off. You are paying for the view which was very nice, and the service was good and friendly
There was a special event that slowed service down, that we were not informed about until after we placed our order, would have gone to another lunch spot had we known we would be waiting for 30-40 minutes to get our food served.
