Pied à Terre is one of London’s longest standing Michelin restaurants, celebrating its 30th year in 2021. Offering optional Tasting Menus including vegetarian and vegan, lunch menu and full wine list.

With its tasteful cracked-glass feature, and cosily formal decor, this is a perfect setting for têtes-à-têtes, business-related or otherwise. Pied à Terre radiates both style and approachability.

The exceptional gourmet food is meticulously prepared with heart and passion by Head Chef Asimakis Chaniotis using ingredients sourced directly from small, independent suppliers who live and breathe quality.

Apart from the bargain set lunch (reportedly one of the best value Michelin star lunches in London), prices are reassuringly top-end, but there’s ample value in a book-sized wine list, with “incredibly helpful” sommeliers.

    We arrived and were treated like royalty by Souza and Kira, the food served was sublime, cocktails were amazing, superb varieties of wine lead by the expertise of Conor, we could not fault our experience and would absolutely recommend to any one if you enjoy having your taste buds tantalised, do pay a visit to Pied a Terre.

    The food under the relatively new chef is absolutely top notch. Wonderful combinations of ingredients beautifully presented. We had the lunch time tasting menu with wine pairings and every course was a delight. The restaurant has not physically changed much in the 25 years we have been going there — -which is just fine. It feels elegant and intimate. Service was very knowledgeable and committed to making everything go perfectly.

    Foodie Review: Pied à Terre, Fitzrovia — Where Precision is Poetry At Pied à Terre, flavor never travels alone. It’s joined by texture, beauty, and intelligence. Each dish is a self-contained experience, yet part of a seamless, emotional progression. Chef Cavaliere doesn’t just cook—he composes. Enhancing this was Khushbu (sp?), whose warmth, attentiveness, and shared delight in every course invited us deeper into the narrative. Her enthusiasm and insight made each plate feel personal, illuminating the intent behind the artistry. The journey opens with Vegan Canapés: smoked dashi, sweet peas, pea shoots, and chive oil. Smoky and bright, they set the tone with quiet confidence. Then comes “Tuna” Crudo—compressed watermelon with cucumber ponzu and chive. Light, clever, and refreshing. The Japanese Sea Bream arrives in leche de tigre, sharp yet balanced, with daikon crunch and toasted rice depth. The Orkney Scallop pairs with tender pork jowl, burnt crème fraîche, and Minus 8 Verjus—a smoky-sweet, melt-in-mouth indulgence. Celeriac Salt-Baked Kohlrabi is a structural and flavor triumph, where pistachio, parsley, and grapes bring crunch, cream, and acidity to buttery root veg. Then, the standout: soft, sweet Beef Tartare in a caviar tin. With less caviar than in April, the tartare shines—silk against pearl, a pure expression of flavor. Cornish Cod in Champagne and smoked eel sauce is decadence restrained by finesse, with caviar adding salt and texture. The Stuffed Courgette Flower follows—a floral, layered, texture-driven marvel. Welsh Lamb Cannon delivers deep umami and perfect tenderness, lightened by basil and courgette, sharpened by red currant. Cherry, Elderflower & Champagne pre-dessert refreshes like an orchard breeze. The finale: Yorkshire Strawberry, White Chocolate & Lemon Verbena—a delicate, aromatic finish. At Pied à Terre, every course is a verse in a poem of precision and soul.

    Eye wateringly expensive and while the food was good, the wine excellent, the service was a bit too rushed and fussy at times…we asked to wait a while between the courses as it was all coming out too fast. I lost count of how many times we were asked if we enjoyed each course, which I get they are trying to check everything is good yet I’d have preferred them to leave us a bit more to enjoy it all. Very nice and appreciated gesture at the end where they brought out a plate with ‘happy anniversary’ pipped in chocolate with some extra petit fours on. Overall a pleasant evening and nice dinner but I wouldn’t rush back.

    The most amazing dinner I've ever had accompanied with the most delicious cocktails I've ever had. Exemplary service and given a personal tour by David the owner which was a delight. Definitely my favourite meal of 2025. Will be back pronto.

    The food was great, but if you aren’t well off I wouldn’t go. We asked for the service charge to be removed as the meal was a birthday gift and we didn’t have enough money for the extra, on our way out we went to use the bathroom and one of the servers made a joke about how there’s no extra charge for that. It felt quite demeaning, we have every right to be there and payed the full bill minus the service charge, I had been waiting for 3 months to visit for my birthday and had been really looking forward to it, we even travelled over 3 hours on the train, but this experience has completely put me off of fine dining and I will definitely not be going back.
