As usual the food and service was incredible. Have been coming here for many years and always make it our first thought.
Went to Piccolo Mondo to celebrate our son's birthday and had a really great experience. The service was very good and the food was outstanding. Steven Del Lima is a great chef. We will be back soon for sure!
Piccolo Mondo is simply one of the very best restaurants of any kind in the Huntington area. The food is uniformly excellent, the service is outstanding, and Roland, the owner, is clearly devoted to making every dining experience a pleasure. We are lucky enough to be within 10 minutes of the restaurant so it is our go-to location for a hassle-free, relaxing dining experience.
The wood plank Salmon is to die it melts in your mouth
THIS IS OUR THIRD TIME HERE AND IT WAS OUTSTANDING, AS WERE THE OTHER 2 OCCASIONS.
WE WERE 6 PEOPLE CELEBRATING A BIRTHDAY AND EVERYONE
LOVED THE FOOD.
AS ALWAYS THE SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING AND THE CHEF EXTREMELY CREATIVE.
THE HOST WHO GREETS YOU IS VERY WARM AND PROFESSIONAL, I THINK HE SAID HE IS THE OWNER.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT AND WE WILL ALL BE BACK!
Gut wie immer. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne her! Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, der Service zuvorkommend und aufmerksam.
New Chef, food is great even better than before. Service as usual is top notch. No more 1/2 orders of pasta? Odd rule.
Piccolo Mondo was delicious! We had amazing food and service.
The perfect neighborhood gem. Great food, service and ambiance. Tables are a little tight but manageable.
The food here is always excellent we tried the price fix menu and were surprised st the generous selections and portions - everything we had was fantastic! Roland always welcomes customers and always asks how the food was which is nice - this is our favorite go to always dependable for great food and service - our friends loved everything and we will go back as soon as possible !
I have dined at this restaurant many times. The food, service, and ambience is consistently great. It is a neighborhood gem for sure and I always enjoy my dinners there. The owner is gracious, the staff is friendly and efficient, the food is well prepared. The new and innovative menu items are also really nice!
Such a delicious meal. And really kind people
I have dined at this restaurant many times over the years since they have opened. They have certainly raised their ratings over this time. Food has always been good, but now is very good. Service has always been attentive and professional. This was a special occasion for the couple that we brought with us, and although the service was very good, one of our friends did not find the request for a simple substitution accommodated and as a result ate only her piece of fish. Needless to say she was disappointed and told others of her experience. This did not change my or my husband's dining experience that evening and we are sure to return.
Meeting a friend we haven’t seen in many years. The food was amazing, ambiance was perfect and loved the fact that we were able to stay as long as we wanted. It truly made for a perfect evening. We thoroughly had a wonderful evening and the food and service was superb. Thank you Roland and staff!
Excellent, passed it many times and finally gave it a try. Was not disappointed, will definitely return!!
Wonderful food and service. A very pleasant dining experience in every way.
We were there right after the review They were very busy but only had to wait 5 min Food was excellent We will return
Returned for lunch with a friend & what a wonderful menu for lunch $13.00 and they had a huge selection to choose from. Those Martinis are huge & fab. Thank you again for a wonderful meal.
Food was excellent. The only disappointment was they no longer had a favorite (different) dessert, cannolli filled with tiramasu. Service was excellent.
Great Sunset Menu value, delicious food, attentive service - can't wait to return!
Wonderful find in the neighborhood ! Uniquely prepared dishes, generous portions , and professional service. One of the best restaurants in the Huntington area, and moderately priced!
We went to Piccolo Mondo after reading the Newsday review, racing about the new chef. Not a good idea.
At first our host couldn’t find our reservation, but once done, told us he needed 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we decided to sit at the bar for a drink. It would have been nice if the owner had offered a drink as an accommodation as we have often experienced in other restaurants but that didn’t occur to him.
Our appetizers were very good. Two different salads and baked clams were tasty, but they were ordered because a request for a half order of pasta was refused when I selected it as my appetizer. Didn’t understand this as I’ve had a half pasta app here before. Hmmm. Must be the new chef.
Three out of four main courses were poor. The salmon was tasty but over laden with garlic. The pork chop was so salty that 3/4 of it was left over. Both cowboy ribeye steak pizzaiolas were chewy and of poor quality - especially as a $37 special. Not so special! By the way - we never saw the owner again throughout our dinner. Had he visited I would have told him about our food and this might have been a completely different review. Oh well.
I’m sure the Newsday article helped to fill the house. I kind of doubt the chef will keep it that way.
Excellent service and delicious food. The new chef really made this dinning experience wonderful.
Wonderful dinner, I had diver sea scallops saltimbocca over risotto. Delicious. Love the Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. My husband had the Salmon on a Cedar Plank & our friends had the special steak pizziola....Extremely reasonable pricing, service was attentive. I am returning during the week for lunch with a friend.
This is our go-to place. The food never disappoints, with a beautiful menu selection as well as specials that are delicious. It sometimes can get a bit noisy, but I suppose that is because people are having a great time. This is one restaurant to visit- you won't be dissapointed.
Excellent menu. Loved the flat bread appetizer and the deconstructed banana cream pie!! The best.
I have always enjoyed dining at this neighborhood restaurant: good food, good service. Now with the new menu it is even better! So hard to find a restaurant that serves excellent food and where you can still have a conversation!
Excellent food and service!
Very pleasant dinner, very nice food and great service.
Went for Mother’s Day dinner with my wife, daughter, and granddaughter. Piccolo Mondo had their regular menu, plus a few specials. The only thing they did differently for Mother’s Day was to open early so that more people could be accommodated.
I especially enjoyed the lamb “lollipops” - more than enough for an appetizer, done to perfection, and presented beautifully with a fabulous fruit relish. I also tasted my wife’s fried calamari, tender and crisp, with two different dipping sauces. I had the papardelle bolognese as a main course and loved it. The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly. For dessert, the homemade cheesecake was a unanimous choice.
Always love it here, and Roland was the perfect host for this special occasion.
Don't be scared of the location of this place. Looks are decieving. The strip mall in which Piccolo Mondo is located is not exactly pleasing to the eye, but the restaurant itself is truly a gem amidst the rocks. The wait staff is excellent and friendly, taking care of all needs without having to ask. The food is magnificent with many choices. It truly brings a little peice of Italy to the area. The music is also wonderful with classical and Italian music playing at a comfortable volume. The only thing I would change would be the appearance on the outside of the restaurant. It's a bit hard to find and the strip mall can seem "sketchy". Overall 9.5 out of 10
I recommend steamed muscles. The best muscels I ever had. Healthy portions, good food.
I've been going to Piccolo Mondo since they opened.
Roland runs a very tight ship and is always present.
The new Chef is turning out some great dishes - especially the fresh fish dishes - so hard to find perfectly cooked fish at area restaurants.
Very good cuisine , presemtation and service. Well recommended.
My husband & I went for Restaurant Week. We got a good price on our 3- course meal and we enjoyed the half price Thursday deal on a nice bottle of wine. As always, the food , service, and ambiance was to our liking.
Great food and service!
New Chef and new menu. I liked the old menu better but was still satisfied. Needs more variety of food - too much shellfish meals.
Slightly salty branzino with clams/oysters
Im looking forward to going back
