Ultimate Crab Cakes
made with all jumbo lump crab meat; served with chef's vegetables & mashed potatoes
Went for my birthday towards closing. The menu had so many options the staff was very polite in person but over the phone not so much. They value for what we paid versus the quality of food received was a perfect match. And I also received a free birthday dessert. We had the crab dip and ultimate crab cakes which is a must have when dining here.
The outside patio was beautiful. The atmosphere and staff were both wonderful. The food was delicious!
Very good food and attentive service. Snow crab and shrimp delicious. Lovely comfortable booth for 4. Also NZ wine available which I love, so all in all a great place to eat and drink!
reasonable prices, smallish portion sizes, food was well prepared and prompt, service was good but she was busy, drinks were generous, crab dip was excellent, crab cakes were small but tasted very good - only a little shell (that's normal and acceptable)
Excellent food and service. Very fresh ingredients and tasty!
I was in Baltimore this past weekend for the Ravens/Chiefs game as a KC fan (boo) and had many people suggest visiting Phillips for a good taste of Baltimore seafood. While the service was quite good, the food was honestly a bit disappointing. I had the broiled seafood platter and was disappointed that my crab cake had several fragments of shell in it (not sure if that’s normal, but hasn’t been present in other crab cakes I’ve had). The shrimp was cold and asparagus was nearly raw. I wouldn’t be complaining if the food wasn’t $50. Next time, I’ll do some more research and find a different seafood joint.
I was told this is the place to go In Baltimore but it fell short of the hype.
The service by Cameron was excellent.
I enjoyed it! They had great food and excellent customer service
Appetizers were great. But the main dishes were not well seasoned And tasted a little stale or undercooked. However the waitress was kind and deserved a tip.
From appetizers to desserts, our table of 4 enjoyed enjoyed a variety of selections that were well prepared and presented. Freshness must be Phillips motto.
The service is was good. The food was great. Our group ordered the starters Chesapeake crab dip and shrimp spring rolls. The shrimp Alfredo and crab cake sandwich was excellent. The alcohol drinks are worth it the blue crab margarita, strawberry lemondade, and long island
I’m a regular patron at this Lemongrass, but something has changed. Towards the end of the meal, we were being rushed to leave. Felt very uncomfortable and
The appetizers were the best option. My main course was not good I had the crab cake sandwich. I will go back for the appetizers and crab legs. Our dessert was basic but good. Drinks were good also.
My son and I always enjoy Phillips , the food is always good and the workers are very pleasant. My only disappointment is the price has increased
How in the world can a famous Seafood Restaurant not offer any type of Lobster meal . Lobster Tails are available from a steakhouse such as Longhorn, but Lobster is not available at Phillips. The reasoning from the server was blamed on Covid. Very disappointed. McCormick and Schmicks would have been a better choice.
We were in Baltimore for a college campus visit. The Foid at Phillips was good but after the waitre
The meal was very enjoyable. The cream of Crab Soup was delicious. The service as very attentive.
food didn't taste fresh and lacked seasoning. Nothing like it used to be
I am not into seafood but husband loved the ultimate crab cakes. I ordered the fried shrimp which were good. I felt that their menu was lacking a small dinner salad to accompany dinner. Only thing you could order was large salad. No non-seafood soup. No bread accompaniment to the meal.
The broiled seafood platter was delicious. Best crab cake I ever had.
Large scale dining experience.
My food was not good had no flavor but the service was great
I had the Ultimate Crab Cake meal. Best crab cakes I've ever had! Everything was excellent service was fantastic. I'll be back for sure.
Excellent food. ................................................
The restaurant is very excellent. The only little thing was the portions for the broiled seafood trio were a little small for my appetite and I was hoping for more sides other than boiled potatoes as option to choose from if I didn't want mashed potatoes but overall the restaurant was excellent.
The fried calamari was so so - and soggy. Disappointing. Our entrees we're hot, fresh and delicious. The crab cakes were excellent. Smaller portions would have been preferable. Our waiter seemed a bit distracted, brought the app out with the entrees, and the check before dessert (which, along with the leftover entrees, we took to go).
The food was awesome, if a little pricey. Service was second to none.
Clean restaurant. Terrible service. The server never checked on our table or refilled drinks or asked if we wanted dessert. Mediocre food. The snow crab legs were small and seasoned with butter and salt. Lack luster. Red Lobster is better and not someplace that would be a choice of ours for dining out. Definitely a chain restaurant that doesn’t serve local seafood with pizazz and flair for seafood lovers. If you like bland food then this is the spot for you.
Pricey but good crab
Good experience overall. Seems to be still coming out of pandemic staffing but the server was nice and pleasant and helpful. Crab legs were fantastic! Recommend a reservation especially on weekends.
Good place to eat. Little over priced, good service. 👍
This was our first time in Phillips...what an experience...did not realize how big it was. The decor was inviting, the spacing was great, and our server, was the best ever. His customer service skills sold us drinks and an appetizer.
Our server was wonderful, extremely pleasant and accommodating. The food was the best seafood we have ever had. We live this Phillips
Service was slow.
Food wasn't hot. 2 orders had to be sent back.
The table number was not put on the order. The server walked past our table twice. She didn't know where the order was to go. The best thing was the fact that the the manager was accommodating.
Crab dip appetizer came with bread that was very oily; the grilled chicken sandwich was messy due to an over abundance of BBQ sauce. Not sure if we’ll come again.
This places seems like maybe back in the day it was nice but now they’re just holding on to what they use to be. The decor is outdated and the food is ok. The prices were expensive for what you’re getting.
Food was amazing and waited Dale was excellent. Staff and service was exceptional.
Excellent servers. Both were friendly and attentive.
20 plus years ago Phillips Seafood had amazing crab and people would wait outside to get in . I am sorry to say that they have gone the way of many other storied restaurants relying on their reputation only. We ordered drinks, crab soup, and the pound of snow crab. Soup and drinks arrived at the same time, even though we asked the waitress to hold the soup while we enjoyed out drinks. A few minutes later every thing came out at once. The soup was tepid and the rest of the food was cold. The real disappointment was the crab clusters. The legs and claws were so small that you could not get the meat out. What little meat you got out was shredded so bad that you lost it when you tried to put it in the butter. The waitress knew that we were upset, so she sent the manager out. He preceded to tell us it was all our fault and that the quality at Phillips has not changed in 50years. We paid our bill and went to the Cheesecake Factory to get something to eat.
Great family dining after visiting National Aquarium! Good menu choices (even for kids), delicious food, and wonderful customer service.
