Menu could offer more choices. Service was GREAT!
Tourist place. Food ok; pleasant server but slow. No follow up after food delivered and dirty dishes not removed from table.
Great seafood in a fun atmosphere. Must try Oyster Shooters
Good food and service
Busy but got food quickly. Easy local spot for dinner
Outstanding food and restaurant!!! My girlfriends and I went there for brunch. We loved everything except for the service. Our server hardly came to our table and we spotted her on many occasions just standing there doing nothing while us and other tables were waiting on drinks and/or checks.
Although the food was tasty, the cost was too high for the value. I understand location and that we paid tourist prices. Next time will find a more local restaurant for MD seafood. Also the smell in the bathroom was bad and overall the restroom was poorly maintained. Luckily our server was great and made for a good experience.
Four of us had a wonderful dinner at Phillips. I was delighted with my choice of the sirloin and crab cake combo. It was absolutely delicious. Save room so you can share a piece of cake - all twelve layers! We sat in the back booth which made conversation easy to hear. Our waitress was very sweet and checked on us just in the right frequency. I wish I could remember her name because she deserves a "shout-out".
Food was outstanding. Very, very fresh and very flavorful. the service was above excellent, very helpful and friendly. the waiters were very attentive to our needs and explained where all the Breakfast Buffet items were. If you go to Phillips in Baltimore, Maryland, you will thoroughly enjoy yourself. Seafood at its best.
The dinner for my wife and I was amazing. Great atmosphere and a great waiter. Can't wait to go again.
When I checked in and said I had a reservation I was told to wait in the waiting area, but I wasn't seated, after 15 - 20 minutes I had to go back up to remind them that I hadn't been called and other people were going to tables.
The service was ok, but the rest of the experience was very sub-par. Food was below average, atmosphere was well not sure how to describe. Very loud, dirty and inelegant.
Loud blaring music - didn't make for a nice outdoor lunch by the water.
Very good server thanks
Very nice restaurant and the server was great!
Sunday brunch nice surprise. Quality shellfish and excellent Bloody Mary’s.
New to the state of Maryland. I drove by Phillips every day when heading to work. My boyfriend and I love to go to brunch and he was visiting for the weekend. I wanted him to see the Inner Harbor and Phillips is basically right on the harbor. The setting in the dining room was very intimate. They also had an option for outdoor seating and tall tables with bar stools. We loved all the food and hubby stated that it was his best brunch spot yet. Service was friendly and very professional. We loved the White Mango sangria which was $4 each and the glass was that of standard wine glass. And it was full to the top. They also had several juices, coffee, and tea included. There was also live entertainment. A guy playing the piano singing lots of classic love songs. It was a great unexpected addition. Overall we had a great experience. We were so full and took a nap as soon as we got home. We will definitely be back.
Just, ok seafood. I had their signature crab cake and it was tender, sweet and nothing but crab meat. Came with an average mac&cheese and asparagus. Not a sophisticated dish but perhaps not totally worth the $50 dollar tag. The service was courteous. The ambience is dated, stuffy and too dark. We did not try other dishes but from the menu it seems that it is all southern style, fried, salty and rich. Overall overpriced.
Poor service and overpriced food in a depressing environment
Food was delicious
Tourist Trap. Service was good, food was meh at best and took way too long to arrive
Phillips Seafood was recommended by the concierge at our hotel, and it was perfect for a late relaxing lunch between sightseeing activities. We shared a delectable crab dip with bread, a seafood chef salad and their famous crab cake sandwich with fries. The portion sizes were extremely generous and we left with our cravings for regional crab fully satisfied! Now we understand why this restaurant has so many well deserved glowing reviews.
When I fly into my hometown of Baltimore ..my must go to spot... is Phillips for steamed crabs and other favorites.
Our server, Justin? Jason? Was really great!!
We sat outside on a Saturday night. There was a band playing at the neighboring restaurant.
Very dog friendly outside for our dog
Very excellent service! Server was very tentative, did not bother us too much like some do, but was around just enough when we needed refills or other services, was very funny as well. Food was DELICIOUS also, ate outside, live music played, made our Anniversary night very special.
Our experience at Phillips proved to be very fulfilling being as though it was my husband’s birthday. The couples at the tables next to us was friendly; and our waiter was very attentive which made our dinner more delightful. I would recommend Phillips seafood to anyone that likes good food and great service! Thank you
The service was excellent. We were seated immediately, the server answered every question we has about the menu, and the food was delicious.
Excellent seafood and drink choices and a stone’s throw from the Inner Harbor!
The service was slow and not particularly smooth. We weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a really big deal but at the end the bills were incorrectly separated.
Food was delicious but pricey for what it was. The experience was only a C+ / B - kind of night.
Great food and nice service
I made a reservation for 1 as I was traveling alone. Despite my reservation the host was incredibly rude and seemed very put off by having to seat me. First he told me there was a 45 minute wait. Then he told me to "go sit at that empty table near the bar." Well there was no empty table near the bar. Then he tried to get me to sit at a very tiny stand (like table top big enough for cocktails only) less than arm's length from the musician...I told him I could not sit there. It gets worse...then he asked if I would like to share a table with a much older man who was also dining alone!!?? This was super offensive and awkward. FINALLY he seated me at an actual table in the main restaurant that was surrounded by multiple empty tables!! Also the food was mediocre at best. It was hard to taste the lobster because it was covered in a peppery spice. The only saving grace was that the waiter was incredibly personable and attentive. The waiter is seriously too good for this place!
Birthday and reuniting with family
Crab Deck is fun. Restaurant is more traditional in door dining but the deck allowed us to get down and dirty with some good ole crab and shrimp. Picnic table and mallets and buckets. On the harbor. Going again tomorrow
The lady that took us to our seat put us at a dirty table that we were told to move from due to that fact I believe her name was Sara but besides that our waiter was great
Phillips is always excellent every time I’ve gone. I’ve never had a bad meal or a complaint. The service is always beyond expectations, it’s a wonderful place. I do feel like it’s a little overpriced for what you get sometimes but the food is always good.
The hostess forgot that we were waiting for a table. The server brought me out the wrong soup and entree.
The steak was tough ( that I didn’t order).
Our server disappeared for long periods of time.
Not my favorite.
Was in town for the weekend with some friends though we give this place a try from the photos we saw on line, so we booked a table, when we get there we showed the waitress the photos and she said a lot of people book a table thinking that the food is available is the this restaurant. It turns out that during the summer months they have an outdoor Phillips restaurant and that is where u can get the buckets of sea food, not the indoor part, but there’s no way to book a table for the outdoor part of the the restaurant from this app, bummer my wife and friends are sea food junkies they was really looking forward to this meal we saw online, instead we had dinner inside, the food was good and the atmosphere was good, just didn’t get what we really came for. Best thing to do is call the restaurant and book a table for the outdoor part of the restaurant (summer time only). All and all we had a good time and good food
I thought I was coming to a buffet of all u can eat seafood and such.. I was seated outside with a limited menu.. very expensive food that was not 5 star good.. the crab cakes were soaked in grease.. and my bill was so high I paid with a credit card!! Not like the one we visited at the beach on OCMD
First time visitor. Lived up to the hype!! It had a perfect family environment and the food was awesome!
Service was amazing and quick. We made a reservation but came in a little earlier than expected. We were allowed to be seated earlier. Thank you!
Food is not worth the price! It was very expensive for a mediocre meal.
Really wanted to like this place. Crab cakes and Smith Island Cake were very good, however the appetizers were so small as to be considered a rip-off, given the price. Waiter, while polite, was indifferent as was the service, which was much too quick. Most of the food was not hot when served. This, in my opinion, is the epitome of a Tourist Trap, which is real shame given the possibilities.
