The food was delicious, but the interior of the restaurant was hot, dim, noisy and somewhat uncomfortable. For instance: we were in a booth the seat of which which was a plain completely flat wood slab. While the friendly servers were clearly doing their best, and refilled our water glasses attentively, there was a longer wait for the food than we'd expected. We ordered appetizers, which took quite a while to arrive and there was another even longer wait for the entrees. I guess a lot of restaurants no longer offer while-u-wait nibbles but some wasabi peas or a bowl of edamame would have helped, especially as we'd forgotten they don't offer alcohol. Since the restaurant was also extremely loud conversation was somewhat limited. To be fair, Friday night has to be one of their busiest nights.
Last time I ate there we had a table outside, someone in the party knew to bring wine and we had a very enjoyable evening. Food equally delicious. So, just make sure to request outdoor seating if you want to carry on a conversation, and perhaps expect a longer wait than you'd like on a busy night (i.e. don't show up hungry!) Would definitely eat there again, just try to plan it better.
