I have twin 13 year boys that cant agree on anything. This is the only place they agree to go as a family. We have going here for years...typically once a week. we have also used the catering several times. The staff is always great and personable. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but pretty close. I have never been disappointing. I also like how they change it up every so often with the menu items and beer selection. If you real daring, try the "Hand of the Chef" where the chef will surprise you with a unique dish. I have done this a half dozen times and it has been simply amazing!!
First visit to this restaurant. My wife started with the Salt and Caramel martini - loved it! Novel menu - lots of variations on favorite dishes. We shared the pistachio haddock and 2 side salads. It was very well prepared. Our server was attentive. A great neighborhood stop for dinner. May have to wait a bit to find a parking spot.
We made a reservation for 7pm and got there about 10 minutes early. We were told it would be a few minutes before our table was ready which was understandable since we were early. Others who came when we arrived were told it was a 30 minute wait. We didn’t get seated until 7:10 so even with a reservation we still essentially had a 30 minute wait. The food was great but I was not impressed by the service.
Visited the restaurant with my 17 year old grandson. He relished his dinner of chicken topped with aioli sauce and with green beans on the side. I loved my dirty martini and the tortellini entree with chicken mixed in and topped with marinara sauce (I stay away from cream sauce). The service by Erica was fabulous. She made us feel welcome and carefully explained the features of a couple of the entrees.
My husband and I tried Peppercorns for the first time...he had the Chicken Fontina...generous portion and delicious! I had the Bistro Espresso steak with truffle risotto===got 2 meals out of it! Reasonably priced. Our server was fine, everything served hot.....wish he would have smiled more and made us feel like he enjoyed being there...lol. He wasn't bad but he could have been more engaging. FOOD? PHENOMENAL!
Amazing experience ! Wonderful food ! Great service ! Everything about the night was wonderful wether it was the special black bean dip that they featured. To the lobster corn chowder and not to mention the steak medallions paired with the porcini mushroom risotto. Yum yum yum !!!! Can't wait to come back !
There was 8 of us celebrating anniversary & birthdays. A couple of us for the blackened shrimp & salmon which was absolutely delish! And our kids always get the pretzel chicken and of course did not disappoint. Everyone loved what they got! Apps were awesome too. And Danielle was a very good server...informative and attentive!
I found Peppercorn's in a quick Google search, checked out the menu, and made a reservation. There were seven of us - my parents, husband, three kiddos, and me - and they accommodated us no problem. It was great to see so many other families eating there so we didn't feel self conscious, our waitress was very good and attentive, and the food was very delicious! There was something on the menu for everyone. I wish we lived closer so we could go again and again!
We had 4 very satisfying meals, I had the surf and turf. The women had plenty in their meals and took some home. Over-all, everyone liked their entree's. We were comped an appetizer because of a server screw-up and it was very tasty. Very happy the last few times there.
Excellent food and server. My wife and I go to peppercorns often the only complaint the beer is not cold or cold enough. Peppercorns has 20 beers on tap which we like to try they come to the table a little more than room temp it ruins the beer. That is the only complaint we have!
Arrived on an extremely busy Sat. Night - glad we had reservations. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time, in a nice, comfortable booth. My husband likes to order the beer flights, and he was happy with his choices. Wine for me - basic wine list.
I ordered the stuffed haddock, my husband ordered "hand of the chef" which is a surprise entree. My meal was delicious and flavorful, accompanied by mashed potatoes and julienned fresh summer veggies, but his was spectacular. He had crab over haddock over fresh pasta, newberg sauce over all. Amazing!
Service was wonderful - friendly and attentive. Food came out in a reasonable time frame - surprising considering how busy the place was. I. guess there's a reason why Peppercorn's is so popular. Will be back again and again.
Danielle, our waitress, was quick, professional & all courses of our meals were seamless. Our drinks were delivered in timely fashion & delicious. The meal choices were diverse & sounded scrumptious. We always are disappointed with one aspect of s visit to a restaurant but all 6 of us had nothing but glowing words.
Excellent and varied menu with some seasonal surprises and creative selections. Food and service are consistently good. Dined twice in one week. Lively atmosphere but a bit too loud for quiet conversation. Overall would recommend as a great casual option. Thanks.
Clark students arriving on campus and a new summer seafood recipe made for a festive and tasty late dinner for these out of town visitors. We enjoyed the Chef's flavorful take on our lobster roll and shrimp pasta dinners. Local craft beer rounded out our enjoyment of this restaurant.
This was my husband and I's first visit to Peppercorns, I enjoyed that they had gluten free options and he loved his Tips & Newberg! Although I didn't ask, I assumed the gluten free options had gluten free breadcrumbs as many of them were "breaded" so I was slightly disappointed when my buffalo chicken tenders came out without any crunchy breadcrumbs. Overall though the quality was still good and delicious. The best part was the gluten free dessert! I drag my husband to alot of different restaurants to try new gluten free menus for myself, and he loved Peppercorns in comparison to some of the other places I have taken him. We also received very good & prompt service which added to our whole experience!
The last two times at Peppercorn's have been disappointing. Prices are high compared with other places. We were seated next to a table with five noisy toddlers. Perhaps with a group like that, a more removed place could be given. The food is generally good but getting pricey. I doubt we'll go back.
