The portions were VERY small for the price
Outside dining area beautiful- that’s what inspired us
Impeccable service. All of the appetizers and entrees were so well prepared and presented. Our group was looking forward to this dinner and were impressed by the quality and service at the P Grill. Very good wine list, we had the Madeira flight after dinner...quite a treat.
You can't go wrong when you dine at Peninsula Grill. All aspects of the dinner were top notch! If you can save enough room, stop at the bar after dinner and have a slice of their coconut cake and an after dinner cocktail.
Very nice. Excellent service. Meal & wine list were outstanding.
We had dinner here to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived early for our reservation but they were very accommodating and seated us earlier at a nice table. It was a pleasant enjoyable evening. The food was also delicious. We plan to go back again soon.
The evening was great. Our waiter gave attention when needed and stayed away when not needed. The sommelier recommended a wonderful wine. Truly enjoyable.
Loved it as usual. Delia is a great waitress!
Wonderful service, great Covid isolation in a lovely environment. The grilled scallops remain the standard by which we judge all others. They remain the best we have had anywhere in the world.
Ate indoors as the patio books early. Well over 6 ft around our table. Jessica took very good care of us and our Texas guests
I was disappointed that there was no mention of my wife's and I s 50th wedding anniversary. I specifically put it in the comments or requests area when making the reservation. All in all a good experience and we will be back but disappointed
It was a perfect evening..., incredible food!
Every effort was made to provide us with the best experience ever. Our waiter Justin was knowledgeable regarding our food choices and extremely tentative to our every need. We were Impressed when we were greeted by name and he even acknowledged my Birthday. This is a five star restaurant at its best!
Justin our waiter was great
We had rack of lamb and scallops. Both very well prepared and delicious.
I was so disappointed in Peninsula Grill, Charleston SC. The atmosphere here is good (patio outside) and I really wanted to like this place. The service was bad (like not asking what temp. a steak should be cooked and also asking our table if we would like to speak with the sommelier when it was obvious that they don't have a somm on the staff or at least there wasn't one there that evening). The food was terrible, not quite airline bad but cruise ship buffet bad. We ended up feeding it to a dog on the way back to our hotel. The tab for two people was $500+
It was our 25th anniversary from TN. Food was very good and the service was great. 1 thing to change, the bread was hard.
A truly wonderful dining experience. Every dish was expertly prepared. The duck breast I ordered as my entree was the best I've ever had, and nowhere else has ever been close. The coconut cake is as good as they say!
Amazing food, amazing service, and atmosphere! The price is high but that's to be expected with such outstanding service.
Great food and service in a beautiful outdoor setting. Salads were unique, lamb was excellent, and coconut cake amazing.
Great stop in a wonderful town. Put on your sport coat and enjoy the white tablecloths!
Dined here on our honeymoon and the experience was truly phenomenal. Service was beyond incredible and the coconut cake is absolutely to diiiie for!
My wife had the Ossetra Caviar as her first course. It was served with the classic accompaniments (minced onions, egg whites, etc.) and miniature blinis - delightful.
I started with the Burgundy Escargot, served on Ciabatta with a mixed green salad - not traditional, but tasty.
For my main course, I had the Prime Ribeye topped with Seared Foie Gras and Brandy-Peppercorn Jus. It was out of this world. I've had great steaks everywhere from NYC, Paris, to Fiorenza and this was simply the best. It was seared crusty on the outside, but moist and medium-rare in the middle.
My wife had the Chicken Breast with a field pea cassoulet. It was good, but not in the realm of the other dishes.
For dessert, we had their Coconut Cake. I simply don't have the words to describe how good it was.
When I made the reservations, I did not realize what a fabulous restaurant this was. We'll definitely go back next time we're in Charleston.
It was great! The food was amazing. The coconut cake was incredible. Great ambiance though there were some belligerent guests that would have moments of yelling. The service was great. Felt cared for. I will recommend and I will come back when visiting Charleston again.
Our experience was awesome! From when we got there, the maître d' could not have been nicer. We did not have a reservation for an outside table however he took care of things that accommodate our group of six. We sit down at the bar and the bartenders are incredible. Cory was our bartender and he was amazing. The experience only got better with the superb food. However, our waiter Dana was so nice and definitely made our evening special.
Amazing experience and food
It is our favorite restaurant in Charleston. Great food and best service.
Very romantic and intimate with WONDERFUL food! We plan on going back again and again!
What a fancy, beautiful and romantic place. Great service too. We had oysters Rockefeller and duck for entree which were very good. And, ended our meal with the infamous coconut cake. Truly delicious!
Food was amazing, service was amazing. Was quite loud if trying to have an intimate dinner.
No bourbon available
Our first visit was unsatisfactory and we waited 2 years to return.
Chris was an excellent waiter and we will be back!
Excellent food, attentive staff, nice wine list. Would definitely recommend
Great experience, celebrated our anniversary. Best coconut cake I ever had
It’s a fine place in an excellent location, the food was well prepared and presented. A little tardiness in service, but we’re outside in the terrace.
We come from out of state to go here for my birthday. While the food and ambience are still amazing, the service has notably gone down hill this year. The female server was pushy; not at all warm and welcoming.
You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! A must have is the coconut cake. The ambiance expresses the true grace of Charleston!
We always look forward to Peninsula, a family favorite. Last night was outstanding!
Everything was perfect. Really enjoyed every aspect of the meal
Outstanding food and service. Their famous coconut cake is delicious but not a good choice of dessert after such a delicious/delicate food.
This is a great place for a special night out in Charleston. The food and drinks are superb, as is the service. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for...and at Peninsula Grill you get a fabulous dinner and atmosphere to match.
