It’s a fine place in an excellent location, the food was well prepared and presented. A little tardiness in service, but we’re outside in the terrace.

We come from out of state to go here for my birthday. While the food and ambience are still amazing, the service has notably gone down hill this year. The female server was pushy; not at all warm and welcoming.

You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! A must have is the coconut cake. The ambiance expresses the true grace of Charleston!

Outstanding food and service. Their famous coconut cake is delicious but not a good choice of dessert after such a delicious/delicate food.

This is a great place for a special night out in Charleston. The food and drinks are superb, as is the service. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for...and at Peninsula Grill you get a fabulous dinner and atmosphere to match.

The $60 steak was about as good as a 16.99 Outback steak and the $22 lobster tail was 3 bites. I was highly disappointed. Recommendation: Just get the coconut cake to go.

Our server ,Justin, was the best. The table outside was very nice and it was a perfect night. My wife's filet was perfect and she loved the lobster threeway app. I ordered the pistachio crusted lamb chops. Incredible !!! An incredible dinner on a very special occasion. Thank you.

Our second anniversary. We loved the elegance of the room and the staff. Food was good, but you could have a few more sparkling wines by the glass. The small ice cream dessert was really nice. We took home a slice of the coconut cake to share later. Would definitely go back for another special occasion.

We truly had a fabulous meal. The food was absolutely amazing. The dining room looks very different with so many of the tables removed, but we felt very comfortable with the measures they have put into place.

We have always enjoyed going to The Peninsula Grill when we're in Charleston. The service is always excellent and the food fantastic! We were fortunate since they had just reopened (from Covid) a few days before our visit. It was a little too hot for us to eat outside, but their courtyard is spectacular! The coconut cake was delicious, as usual!

It was their second day back open from being closed for months. Really missed not having any specials - those have been outstanding in the past and hope they get back to them soon. Great service but only an OK meal. Looking forward to them being back on track and the outstanding restaurant that we know it is.

Peninsula Grill is our favorite restaurant in Charleston. We have been celebrating our anniversary and birthdays there for 10 years or more and we have missed it this summer. We have tried two other places and they were outstanding but we missed the ambiance, the staff, the food, the service, and the beautiful decor we have consistently enjoyed over the years at Peninsula Grill. We are so very fortunate to have dedicated owners and staff to provide this special place.

I've used The Peninsula Grill as my Special Occasion fine dining restaurant in Charleston for over 20 years. Consistence excellence is not all that common and this restaurant has always delivered. My wife and I had early reservations on their first evening back open after the renovation of the Planter's Inn facility where they are located. Which means we would see how they performed from the new beginning. Smooth as silk. Our lead server, Delia was excellent. She was there when needed yet without being intrusive. That's a nice skill to have. The steaks we decided on were cooked perfectly, as were the Goat Cheese Smashed Potatoes and Asparagus w/Bearnaise sides we shared. Our apps were very good too. I had the classic She Crab soup and my lovely companion had the very interesting Chef's Green Salad. The Coconut Cake at the Peninsula is justifiably famous and I've enjoyed it many times. This time though I had their version of Banana Pudding. Trust me, it's unlike any you've ever had. Give it a try.

The Peninsula Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. The ambiance is like a lovely, welcoming club, but it’s not stuffy. The food is always delicious. I know they’re known for their Coconut cake, but we decided to try their Chocolate Lava cake - definitely not to be missed! We can’t wait to return!
