   My husband & I dined here for our anniversary & it was absolutely amazing. We had the lobster 3 ways as well as the fried oysters as appetizers. The lobster was very different but in a good way. The oysters came in a very nice sized serving. My husband opted for the steak & I had the lamb. As a steak lover my husband was very pleased with his selection & noted that it was one of the best steaks he’s ever had. The lamb was cooked to perfection & was very filling. The restaurant surprised us with dessert that was also so thoughtful & delicious. We can’t wait to dine here again. Thank you Peninsula Grill for a lovely evening!

   Our waiter, Susie was excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu and especially how to eat our takeout coconut cake. That was superb. Our dinner was delicious and the restaurant is beautiful. Highly recommend for a special night out.

   We dined at The Peninsula Grill many times over the years. On this visit, Mothers Day, it was truly awful. The She Crab soup was extraordinarily salty. We ordered the ribeye. Almost inedible. We could hardly cut it with a steak knife. Almost all fat and gristle. The service was OK, but they were short staffed and it showed. We had 3 appetizers, 2 main courses, and 4 glasses of wine. No dessert. Over $400 with tip. This restaurant used to be top notch, but no more. We will not return.

   It was Mother’s Day and very busy. Overall very pleasant with only a few missteps in service. Coconut cake definitely lives up to the hype!

   I took a date here because I heard about their famous Coconut Cake. The service was incredible, the wine list was excellent, I had the center cut filet and it melted in my mouth. I would say everything I ate here was incredible. Will eat here again it's the best food I've had in Charleston so far.

    The food and service were stellar. We were seated in the covered patio. It was a lovely space, but there was a wedding party waiting to go in for dinner and they were obscenely loud. It dampened our enthusiasm for the experience.
