Great service and food! We will be back for sure!!
Always a pleasure to dine at Peninsula Grill.
Fantastic food and service. A hidden gem in the area.
A must try when in Charleston. Excellent meal and service.
The salmon I ordered was cooked perfectly. The asparagus side was old and tough. Very, VERY LOUD.
What a great night with old friends at Peninsula Grill. We went for restaurant week and the menu was excellent. Our waiter Josh took good care of us and helped make the night special.
Loved the experience! Excellent service, food and ambiance. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed an excellent meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend. Service was superb.
Caught this place on a Charleston “Restaurant Week.” And the quality of the food did not suffer. Great food, attentive waiters, spacious, not-loud ambience. Highest marks.
This restaurant was in our hotel and we dined there the night we arrived in Charleston. With reservations, we got right in and seated. I would recommend a more clear sign at the door/bar area entrance though that tells people with dining reservations to walk through the bar to the hostess. We stumbled around for a bit before a helpful waitress pointed us in the right direction, and as I ate dinner, I saw other couples arriving and wondering around the bar area too, unsure of where to check in for the restaurant. A clearer sign would be helpful! Food was excellent - the combination of flavors and textures in my dishes was incredible and you can tell the chefs had fun playing with different ingredients to come up with some of the dishes. Service was very attentive as well and overall it was an enjoyable dining experience. The main dining room could benefit from some acoustic paneling or something on the walls/ceiling because it was very loud with just general conversation from the various tables. Overall, would be back in a heartbeat though!
We ate here tonight and we were not disappointed. We started with the beef tartar (probably the best I’ve ever had) and the the yellow fin tuna. Next we had NY Strip and Ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection and the sides were excellent, goat cheese potatoes and brussel sprouts. For dessert we indulged on Banana panna cotta chocolate pudding and coconut cake. Overall a wonderful meal with excellent service!
I can’t imagine a better place for a Birthday or special occasion. Thank you Peninsula Grill for another special Birthday dinner.
Iconic and high end. Excellent dining experience with well prepared food and good service. She-crab soup was good, but I’ve had it at other places with more crab. The swordfish was spectacular. They’re famous coconut cake is delicious and a must do. Very good place for a special night out.
One of the best meals in Charleston, service was perfect, the food excellent, this is a phenominal restaurant
As always, P. Grill lived up to our high expectations. It’s been 10 or 12 years since our last visit , but this is still our favorite Charleston restaurant for a special occasion.
I do restaurant week with my two good friends every season and this has by far been the best place we’ve been
All personnel were courteous and attentive to ensure our experience was wonderful. The meal was outstanding.
We went during restaurant week. The filet, service and atmosphere were all excellent. The rest of the food was only so/so. The cakes we got were a little dry and the the shrimp tartine didn't have a lot of flavor. The scallops were okay but they were a $15 upcharge and you only got 3 so I wished we had gotten something different.
We liked everything about our visit to Peninsula Grill, our first ever. Our server Robert was excellent without being obsequious; the food was delicious and the ambience peaceful and inviting. We will return soon.
Service was excellent and food was great.
Chris our server was AMAZING!! She taught me about cognac and the interior of the restaurant and listened to me rattle on about personal stories...she was just the best, even though we were there for restaurant week she treated us just like regular customers which made us feel great. The bar was great , the lemon ginger sparkler was to die and the wine list was well deserving of the wine spectator award of excellence with bottles ranging from $40-$1400 able to suit any palate or cuisine. Our ‘96 St.Stephen for $230 was a great value that paired well with the wedge, the tartine, the filet , and the ossso bucco. Also, the velvet walls of the the restaurant are the most luxurious and beautiful I have ever seen... Amelia Handegan out did her self. Everything I thought Peninsula Grill would be ... it was!!!!!
Always a delight. Food, service and ambiance spot on.
Peninsula Grill has never failed us. This was Restaurant Week, but it's our "go to" restaurant for special occasions or whenever we want to treat ourselves.
Best restaurant week menu by far. Delicious from beginning to end. Impeccable service, fantastic food, beautiful dining room. Will definitely have to come back for our anniversary dinner. Thank you to our waitress Delia and her coworkers who made our Sunday dinner and restaurant week experience one to remember!
This is a very upscale restaurant attached to the Planters Inn in downtown Charleston. We went there for SC Restaurant Week, as they were participating. A great value during restaurant week but a bit pricey if not.
The food was excellent, the service by Johnathan was superb!! Great server. He was friendly, informative and we never felt rushed. My shrimp tartine app was excellent as was my pork osso bucco main course. I had the chocolate Guinness cake for dessert, but found that to be dry. The filet mignon's were described as excellent, as well as the flounder.
Odd dressing on the wedge salad, but my wife finished it with no problem. The Butterbean soup was also described as excellent.
We would recommend this place during restaurant week. Couldn't afford it otherwise.
Jonathan, our server, was outstanding. Great recommendations, excellent timing and a wonderful sense of humor. This restaurant is special.
We jumped into getting a reservation during Charleston restaurant week. The menu was great and gave each of us something else to try. The Flounder was fresh, light and perfectly cooked. The soup and shrimp tartine was excellent. Our server was informative and had great recommendations. All in all a great evening.
Elizabeth was the greatest yet! She took such good care of us. Food outstanding as always.
We love Peninsula Grill and choose it for special occasions. Always exceptional dining in a cozy atmosphere. The service is excellent as well. Highly recommended.
Everything was perfect!
One of best restaurNts in the country and restaurant week special was a bonus
A wonderful place to create memories and share a great experience. Food was delicious and the staff very attentive.
This is one our favorite restaurants out many. The staff are wonderful people.
The wedge salad and desserts were excellent! Our service was top notch.
Outstanding selection for Restaurant Week. Ample portions.
This was our first visit. The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. We picked this restaurant based on their participation in Restaurant Week in Charleston. Based on our visit, we will certainly plan to return! The entire staff really made us feel special; this is a well run restaurant!
