Pelican Nest Seafood Grill
Aruba’s favorite restaurant completely above the water offers many unique attributes; the spectacular view at any time of the day and especially during sunsets, the wide array of fresh seafood, a relaxing atmosphere, exclusive seating for dinner and the option while dining to feed the fish. Our Peruvian chef makes a famous and delicious fish ceviche.
The Caribbean, easy going yet professional atmosphere, the choice of fresh items on the menu, a courteous and friendly staff, the ever lasting sense of well-being and complete relaxation and enjoyment, what more could one require?
Slightly sweet & flaky.
Peruvian ceviche is made combining the freshest catch with a "leche de tigre" citrus-based marinade of lime, red onions, peppers & cilantro.
Very white, firm and flaky.
Nice setting with great service and food.
Wonderful to sit by the water and enjoy the sunset view! Great ambience - will be going back for sure!
We had a great experience at The Pelican’s Nest. The restaurant is on the pier looking out over the beautiful ocean. Service was great, food was great. You can hear music from the adjoining bar but it’s not too loud.
Always a great meal. Service was very nice. Loved the view. Our very favorite restaurant. Thanks, Walter.
They have e best margaritas! The steak with the chimmicurri sauce was delicious too!
Fabulous as always. Our favorite restaurant in Aruba !!!! Great service, great people and great food at a reasonable price. Already booked for a return Rez. Kathy Shuda
German was amazing with the hospitality. Our server was great. Get the whole res snapper and ask for it to be deboned.
Very rude server! Did not explain anything on the menu we ended up getting a full plate of super fried food! I felt like I was in Fridays but worse! With any questions to the server she would roll her eyes and I felt like what she was doing us a favor. I don’t remember the last time I was treated like this in a restaurant. But very nice location. Enjoy
Good food And good atmosphere good view good drinks
Always great. Beautiful setting, friendly service, delicious food and plenty of it. I love the huge salads and especially the grouper entree. I’m already booked for a return visit.
Beautiful location on the water. Food was great. We had the Mahi Mahi & Red Grouper. Our table was at the end of the pier & at one point a pelican landed on the pier & was fishing for his own dinner! It’s a must see and eat & we will be returning next time we’re in Aruba.
Food and drinks was delicious, service was great! Best part is hands down the view on the pier during the sunset!!
We normally go here for lunch but made a dinner reservation instead. Not sure if the end of the day had something to do with it but they didn't have half of the cocktails on the menu and were sold out of several entrées as well. I would have left if I thought there was another place we could get into without a reservation. Ordered a steak medium well that came out rare and our appetizers were pretty small portions. Overall not a pleasant dining experience. Just Ok.
One of our favorite places to eat on the Island! Always great meal!
The service is charged 15% but they ask for a tip!!!!! extra
We were very excited to come here, but unfort food was extremely disappointing, we ordered ceviche which was prob the best out of everything we got on the menu. My hubby got skirt steak, very very disappointing to the say the least, drinks are very weak, grouper dish was just ok. Crab cake nothing special.
Enjoyed the food so much we went back during our visit.
We liked it so much we came back again a few days later! Come at sunset! The calamari appetizer plus a salad is a filling and delicious dinner. Had the red snapper the second time around. It did not disappoint.
Drinks great appetizers very greasy!
We have been coming to the Pelicans nest since at least 2003. As you can tell since we keep returning, we love it. Hope to see you next year. Be safe. 2021 will hopefully be a less pandemic year.
Celebrating anniversary and had enjoyed PN once before. This time was still amazing food. Service was a bit slow. Boaters blaring music really distracted from the ambiance. Overall loved it - will visit again but not for special occasion.
The drinks were very weak, to the point we weren't sure if they had alcohol in them. The food was mediocre and a bit over priced.
This was a good place to eat and the food was good. The service from Darrelyne was great. My GPS had trouble finding the place so I was late getting there. But once I got there the food was good. I had the curry shrimp dish, which comes with rice plantain and a corn fritter. It was also happy hour and I got a daiquiri However, I don’t think they had a lot of rum in it. I would go back.
Food everything was just amazing just perfect for our anniversary
Honeymoon dinner overlooking the sunset.
Went there for our 20th wedding anniversary. Wife asked to sit by water and we were told by host that all other tables were reserved. Host had zero personality - never smiled, not friendly and seemed mad at world. Server, Carlos was great - explaining everything and very attentive. Food was great. We will always remember this restaurant as the first place we dined back in 2014 and have come here ever since. After tonight and watching how the table my wife wanted sat empty even as we left I don’t believe it too be the same over the top experience as before.
The Pelicans Nest is the best restaurant on Palm Beach. The atmosphere is amazing ! The food is the best on the island. We have gotten to know many of the staff, not only do they offer the best service of any restaurant, they remember us each year with every visit, always greeting us with a welcome smile. We love the early bird choices and dine there many times during our vacation to Aruba. Pelicans Nest is a must for a delicious meal with the most beautiful view on Palm Beach. Cant wait to return !
Our waiter was not particularly friendly; 15% tip automatically included so service was adequate. Two of us had Mahi Mahi and both were dry; wahoo was also dry.
Atmosphere was nice at sunset. We wish we had gone for cocktails, apps and sunset.
Would not return.
Easy place has potential to get loud when the catamaran pulls in
Restaurant is nice, especially the location
Our server was the best, she was helpful & fun to talk with
My favorite restaurant in Palm beach Aruba. I have always been accommodated with a waterside table (grandson loved watching fish swim by). The food is good, served hot and the servers are friendly. I eat there at least twice during my week long stay.
Always great food and atmosphere, would recommend to all !!
This is a perfect location on the water with beautiful views. Service and drinks were great, food was okay. Calamari was excellent, snapper was over cooked, sides nothing to write home about. Go for the location, be ready for okay food. Overall, I’d return.
We were so excited to visit this restaurant! We visited in 2017 and LOVED everything from the service to the ambiance. Everything was so delicious we decided to have lunch there two days later so we could try different dishes. When we sent my parents to Aruba in 2019, we made reservations here and they were thrilled. They couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful everything was.
Upon our arrival on Thursday night, we noticed it was quieter than we had seen During the previous visits. While walking to the hostess desk my daughter was excited to see the lobsters in the tank and we quickly discovered it was barren. We were seated and after some time our waitress came to give us the menus. We chose our entrees fairly quickly and waited for her to come take our order....and waited...and waited...with a 10 month old and 5 year old...and waited... the dining room wasn’t that busy. She finally took our orders and we all got a little something different so we could share plates. 7 of us. After about 45 minutes, the appetizers came out. I wouldn’t say they were great but they came and we were hungry. The empty plates stayed on our table for about an hour when the entrees were delivered. Our cold entrees were delivered. And we had to ask them to please take the empty plates off the table.
I ordered the mermaid cove - everything was cold.
My husband ordered the surf & turf - the steak was ehh, the lobster tail was not only cold, but looked like someone had stepped on it, severing it into 4 chunks and stuffed back into its tail.
My sisters red snapper - cold
My mother’s surf and turf - cold
My dad’s mermaid cove - cold
My fried polenta side might have been the only item on the table that came out hot. Piping hot.
The manager was kind enough to remove the price of the severed chunk lobster tail after offering to reheat all our food for us...at 10:30pm....when we got there for 7:30.
Save yourself the hassle. Get in a cab and get over to the Flying Fishbone.
Excellent view, cute atmosphere. Chairs and tables made out of old pallets so they were not that comfortable. Disappointed in my salad which was mostly iceberg lettuce with some not so fresh grilled fish on top. Make sure you feed the fish at the end of the pier.
The waiter was terrible. Never asked how things were, never asked if we wanted anything else like coffee or dessert or another drink. Food was over priced for what you get. 6 shrimp costing $4 each. Not enough for your money. Buns were stale. Left hungry and very disappointed with $100 for two small meals and 1 beer, 1 cocktail.
Disappointed in the food, sorry. Burger wasn’t great, Grouper was just OK. Spot is nice, though.
The food and staff were excellent!!! I would definitely recommend this place!
Service was slow possibly due to kitchen staff. Waiter was slow to bring our drinks. The value for the Chardonnay was poor ( thimble size)
Great food for the price. Fish was cooked perfectly. Excellent service. Nice table on the pier to watch sunset
