Our server was good but not as attentive as I’d like for a high end restaurant. The head server or supervisor was great. Food wise, the seafood was a disappointment. Mussels tasted spoiled, and the server took it off the receipt. 2 out of 6 glass cup of water had fishy taste as if it wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. There were a couple fruit flies kept circling around our food. Imagine dining at a super high end restaurant and swatting our hands around so the flies don’t land on our food. Took our high end foreign client at this restaurant. Spent close to $800 for a party of 6. Very uncertain if I will go back again.

Great atmosphere on the veranda overlooking the ocean in the distance. We were disappointed compared to our experience here last year. We decided to experience the table-side Parmesan wheel risotto. Preparer did lots of talking and explaining, but literally swirled the risotto inside the parm wheel twice before putting it onto the serving plate, then pouring the sautéed mushrooms on top. She spent more time torching the wheel than she did flavoring the risotto with it. And for the price - a dome over the serving plate to keep the dish warm would be nice. Octopus was perfectly cooked and very flavorful - incredibly tender. We ordered the meatball, and when it arrived - the meatball itself was barely warm. We waited 15 minutes, and when no server came by to check - the gentleman re-setting the table next to us, noticed on his third trip to that table that we weren’t eating. We told him why, and he apologized, took the dishes away, and said he’d notify our server and have another prepared. Our server came by about ten minutes later and said our meatball would be out shortly and the chef was going to make it really, really hot. No apology, no acknowledgement. The second meatball was heated through enough to eat. Overall disappointing for the price and our expectations at a resort of this scale. Rather than finishing our meal here - we went to a local diner for dessert. If we return to the resort, we will likely try Coliseum Grill for dinner, as we have for breakfast, over Pelican Grill. The lack of attention to food temperature and true attentiveness to customer satisfaction were disappointing. There’s a plethora of staff around welcoming, addressing, etc. but the attention to what matters was a different story.

Would have been nice if bread had come before the entrées. Had to ask for the bread even after it was offered. Just a little thing, but….. Food was excellent and fast! It beat the bread! ha!

The view on the patio is priceless at sunset...it's a place to relax. If you are in a hurry, let the staff know. They definitely are not rushing you through the experience, which is lovely! It's not cheap, but that's the view "tax". We had the Bluefin, Short ribs, Sea Bass, and Seafood squid ink pasta. Even the salted butter was delectable!!!

David Angel was just an outstanding server. I wish him nothing but success and happiness. So polite and kind, made us laugh and just made our lunch a memorable one. I will be coming back only to be served by this kind soul.
