Located on Main St, in the Fan District, Pearl offers a variety of seafood specialties including local oysters, shrimp and crab legs. The decor has a classic oyster bar feel. The front room is more casual with a marble bar, reclaimed wood tables and televisions. The back sun room is a quieter dining room with sky lights and garage doors that open to the outside in nice weather.
Always a great time. Best little restaurant in Richmond and the servers are the greatest!
Saw a mouse
Pearl is a little hidden gem on W Main St! Being a Tuesday evening, it was fairly quiet, but most tables were taken. The service was efficient, our waitress was very personable and knew about the different items on the menu. The oysters were excellent as was the crab legs and mussel appetizer we had. I would highly recommend and will be returning as well!
Fun location, festive atmosphere, superb service, and very good food.
Our first time to Pearl Raw Bar and we'll definitely be back. I loved their vegetarian options and my husband really appreciated the meat and fish options. Seems no matter what you order, it's all good!
The oysters and crab dip were delicious! The limeade drink was excellent, I could drink one every day. Our server was delightful--attentive and very nice. We will definitely return to Pearl Raw Bar.
Pearl is usually our go to seafood restaurant in Richmond, 👍🏼
Amazing food! Amazing drinks! Amazing service! (Translation)
I am Groot! I am Groot! I am Groot!
The Happy Hour is one of the best. Oysters were fresh and delicious
The drinks were very average, food portions we small and the ambiance was very blah.
Chelsea was an excellent server, worked hard to get our food to us when the kitchen was a little backed up. Everything was delicious.
Very LOUD atmosphere, not a place to go if you want to have a dinner meeting.
Service lacked, took longer to get get cold apps than it did to get hit entrees.
Great food with even better service. I would recommend to those that love seafood. However, my wife and I went on a weeknight and the setting was great, but I do think that on a weekend this place can get loud and crowded (again, not positive) because of how nice it is.
The Pearl Raw Bar is a wonderful "hole in the wall". They have a variety of menu items to choose from and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was exactly what I needed to pull off my mother's birthday brunch!
Unbelievable deal for HH oysters and apps. Love this place.
We stopped here n for oysters when heading to Top Sail N.C. from Pittsburgh Pa. the service was incredible and sous chef was extremely accommodating. We highly recommend Pearl. Very nice town as well.
We came to Pearl for our wedding anniversary, I noted this special occasion on our OpenTable reservation as well. Our experience was anything but special...service was lackluster, food was OK - not great. My husband and I will not be returning.
Food and drinks were great! We got the gin blossom martini and it tasted a lot like lemonade, super refreshing! Then we got the fish and chips and the blackened tuna. Everything was delicious and very quick.
Perfect place for date night or out with friends. Everything we had was wonderful from the raw oysters and steamed crab legs to the brussel sprouts and mahi mahi. Service was friendly and attentive. Specialty drinks did not disappoint! Wish we lived closer so we could partake more. Will definitely be back next time through the area!
I really enjoyed my time at Pearl this weekend! The service and atmosphere were great! The only teeny issue was my food wasn't piping hot but I chalked that up to having such a large party. Overall my experience was great!
P.s. The white cranberry mimosa is to die for!
Better for lunch/brunch than supper
My friend and I attended for brunch, I love the fact that you can make reservations! The restaurant wasn’t super crowded and the food and brunch drinks were yummy!
Food very good. Oyster stew, Oyster PoBoy, raw oysters, soft shell crab not. Sauvignon Blanc (2), Prosecco. Service good. Will return
Really fresh seafood! Our new favorite raw bar in Richmond!
I asked for a fried oyster dinner. The waitress said all we have is a fried oyster appetizer. Instead if saying let me see if I can get you what you want she said "I'm sorry". Well if you have the appetizer you can certainly create the entree. We left & won't be back.
I’ve been many times and enjoyed it but the food on Sunday mediocre I do like overall vibe though
Oysters were really good.
I used to frequent Pearls Raw Bar when I lived in the city. Now visiting from out of town we choose it for Mothers day brunch. The service was good, but clearly busy so some things lagged. We order Ham and Cheese omelet, on the menu it clarified the ham being VA Ham but came out filled with chopped up lunch meat. Another guest in our party ordered Eggs Benedict and one pouched egg was lacking a liquid center and was essentially hard boiled.
Good seafood. Excellent drinks, however we ordered something off of the chalk board and it turned out to be a higher price than listed on the board. When we got the bill, the waitress basically said oops, our mistake, but too bad for you. We were also supposed to get shrimp with our seafood platter, but they forgot to include it.
Great food and drink selection. Love the patio seating.
Food was excellent, some of the best seafood I've had in Richmond. Back room atmosphere was great-quiet, cool, comfortable. Wait staff awesome. We will definitely be back.
We went in for restaurant week to check out a new spot. The food was okay. I had the shrimp and lobster pasta and had to add quite a bit of salt to help with the flavor. My mom had a steak that was a little over cooked and her fries were cold by the time she got her food. The desserts were delicious and the best part of the meal. Overall, just an okay experience.
Solid dinner. Food was solid but definitely over salted. The back room also had an odd smell and the tables were sticky. Service was good.
Food was very good. We had a server in training, but she was fine, just a little slow.
The food was too salty. The raw oysters were very good, thanks to being from Virginia and they were fresh. The salmon and vegetables were too salty.
Love this place- always good, always friendly. Very good happy hour.
Great food, it was very fresh.
Second time I’ve been and it didn’t disappoint. Very good quality food. Portions and price equal each other. Wish their beer list was more local. Very nice place
I thought everything was really nice, the service, the atmosphere and the food portions were nice but my order of the fish tacos with the cabbage they put inside it, the vinegar was a bit over powering everything else. Overall nice dining experience. I would go back.
Food was great. Oysters were awesome (even though they were out of the Ruby Salts, my favorites). Management and Server were also awesome. The problem... The Kitchen. I ordered a simple wedge salad with my oysters for dinner. The salad arrived after I'd paid the bill. Our server kept trying to get the salad and got grief from the kitchen. Pretty sad when a $150 dinner can't be completed with a chunk of lettuce, some dressing and a few bits of bacon.
We'll go back - we love the place - but the kitchen dropped the ball this night.
