Made reservations for 7 pm on a Saturday night and when we walked the place was nearly empty. Probably should have a red flag, but I was hyped based on the reviews I saw. My wife and I had the mixed grill, a plate of mixed grilled meats. The sausages had a unique flavor that we not found of. The short ribs were charred on the outside and tough and sinewy. The char gave the meat a bitter taste. The "fajita" skirt had a unique flavor that we just weren't feeling. One of the plates was ravioli and my daughter was wowed or blown away. The last plate was a filet mignon that was ordered medium and came out medium rare and sent it back to the kitchen. After making the correction the filet mignon was good. If I go back I would be because the steaks listed on the menu are at a better than fair price. I like to try them before totaling writing this restaurant off.
We have eaten here many times before. The restaurant is a good place to meet and be able to have a conversation. The food is close to what you can get in Buenos Aires. The staff is very attentive. Some food items are done very well and others not so much. The Beef Filet (Lomo) is excellent as well as the salads. This time I ordered the long bone ribs which were disappointing, tough and dry. We will be back again and order what they are good at which includes the empanadas.
If you do not try this place you will be missing out on a terrific experience. This is a DO NOT MISS restaurant. Our post theater group of 4 was wowed! I cannot say enough good things. The Cab from Patagonia was a recommended and a pleasant surprise also.
Everything was perfect, the live saxophone, wine, food, ambience and the staff...it exceeded all of my expectations. I definitely recommend Patagonia!
Came here for wife’s bday. The empanadas were pretty good, normal, but the meat platter was outstanding. We substituted more sausages for sweet breads which we felt was a solid move. The steak and short ribs were really really good and the wine picked by the waiter was great. Definitely worth a try and I’m sure we’ll be back at some point. Wish the location was better.
The food here is always wonderful, especially the business luncheon selection. You can chose from various appetizers, 4 entree's, desserts. I had the tilapia this trip; no take home box needed...
Our waitress was Veronica. A cheerful, attentive person with a wonderful sense of humor. She was excellent.
We had never heard of this restaurant and were looking for some place new in the Memorial City/Town & Country area and I googled the area zip code and found Patagonia Grill and thought we'd try it to meet our friends. We all 4 very pleased and impressed and now this is our new favorite restaurant. Such nice and friendly staff. Our only issue would be that sometimes the live music was a it loud for us to converse with each other but LOVE, LOVE the live music. There are few, if any, restaurants that provide live music and we were so pleased that you have it and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to come back. Thanks for making our first visit so nice. Food was great, wait staff was friendly and accommodating, and music was wonderful. Thanks to all of you. Tried uploading our photo and it wouldn't take it. Sorry.
Wonderful meal! The service was amazing and the food was incredible. This is a great restaurant to go to no matter what your occasion!
Great food and atmosphere. I really enjoyed our meal of the mixed grill for 2 - there were 4 of us and that and 2 appetizers was plenty of food.
Great Aregentinian food in unremarkable location. Inside the decor transports you to a different world. You forget your in a shopette near a Home Depot on I-10. Food is quite good but pricey with an extensive wine list. An Aregentinian star.
The food is always great and the staff is extremely attentive. Highly recommend this spot!
.Bottles of Wines we wanted not available and when we ordered a glass only one choice available.
Overpriced for quality of food.
Coffee tasted like instant coffee. Nobody could drive bk it. Party of 6-will not return.
The food was great and we ate from the Houston Restaurant Weeks Menu. The regular menu really has some interesting items on it and we will return to try some of them in the future.
We loved Patagonia. We were so surprised to find such a lovely restaurant in a strip center. The food was really good and the service was phenomenal. We were there for HRW week but we will definitely be back.
Food was just okay. The value for the HRW was not there. Our party was still hungry after we finished our meal, but the regular menu was very expensive.
Background music was pleasant but we were on the other side of the restaurant. I am not so sure it would be pleasant if you were seated by the music.
Our waiter was good until it got crowded and then he was ok.
Overall review is ok, food nothing special and pricey.
Our entire experience was fantastic. Really enjoyed the live music. It just made the evening that more special.
Very good, attentive service - Marzio was knowledgeable and interesting. Great selection on the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. The red snapper was very nice - not dry, and lightly seasoned. My wife's skirt steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. This is a smaller place, and we liked that as it seemed more personal, but there was a bit of background noise. The live music (saxophone with auto accompaniment) was very nice - good oldies selections and the volume was just right. The Argentinian sausage was yummy, as were the beef empanadas.
Went for restaurant week.
Service was amazing.
Dinner was good ... crab cakes had nice flavor ...
enjoyed trying something new.
I have heard from many friends that they had a pleasant experience at Patagonia, so I decided to try it out during Houston Restaurant week.
I brought my wife and some good friends there on Saturday night, and we all enjoyed our meals. Our waiter pointed out some great wines by the glass and recommended great entree’s. We all decided that we would want to come back.
Excellent food and service. Knowledgeable wait staff, will be back for sure!!
Discovered this gem when planning a hrw dinner with a friend and we wanted a half-way meeting place. It was very good, quite unexpected. Crab cakes were full of crab meat, not lots of fillers. Meat was tender and cooked perfect. And they have great cuts of meet (like entrana), and delicious desserts. I’d drive back out here. And our server was funny, helpful, kind, and overall terrific.
Went for lunch during Houston Restaurant Week for a friend’s birthday. Delicious food, excellent service & nice vibe. Recommend trying it out. A bit pricey but a great deal during Restaurant Week or for special occasions.
I made a reservation at 7:45pm for 5 people. When my friends and I arrived at the restaurant, we still had to wait another 45min before we were seated. Thankfully our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. We ordered our food and the food came out pretty quickly. I went here for HRW and ordered the sausage with chimichurri sauce, Argentinian steak, and crepes for dessert. Food was great but not worth the 45min wait.
The food was absolutely delicious! The service was outstanding and the restaurant is very cute and fancy. Definitely recommend it!
The staff is always very attentive and informative!
Thank you Sebastian Adam and Victoria
Service was wonderful. Friendly, but not intrusive. Our water glasses were kept full. We loved the grilled provoleta and shared the platter for 4 with leftovers. Ordered sides for 2 which was plenty for us. Will definitely repeat our visit here!
Been here often for dinner but never for lunch. Just as good as it always is
Staff was very attentive without noticing they were there.
This is our third or fourth visit and it continues to have excellent food. An added treat this time was the sax player. He was great!
A great place for a nice quiet business lunch. As a matter of fact, the "Business Lunch" is a good deal and just the right amount of food. The empanadas are very good. I upgraded to lamb, but the beef and chicken ones are equally good. I had the beef tenderloin dish as my main entrée and flan for dessert. Both the flan and crepe for dessert selections are wonderful. The last two servers we had were great. They were very attentive and helped out with the selection process. Thanks, guys.
Quality dinner as expected and a very good wine!
Great experience. Good wine list with recommendations from the waitress. We got the meat platter, which was very good along with an appetizer. We only finished about 1/3 of the meat platter since it was so big. It was quite pricey, we wouldn’t come frequently because of that. But definitely worth a visit for special occasions.
Also they had live music that made for a great date night.
amazing food, customer service and is a great restaurant for events.
Food was exceptional as was the service. Definitely will be back soon.
We were celebrating the company anniversary of three members in my team (7 years, 22 years and 41 years in the company) and we decided to go to Patagonia Restaurant. Everyone enjoyed the food and the wine and they were all really impressed with the quality of the service and food.
I have to say that the food was outstanding and the service was remarkable. It is a bit pricy but it was worth every dollar.
Thank you for a great dinner experience!
It was a delightful and delicious meal with superb service!
We were there for Mother’s Day. There was a nice, fixed price 4-course set menu. Most items from fixed menu were good. The fish, however, a bit dry. Wait staff was very attentive. My real only complaint is the noise level was quite loud. I would go back.
The food, wine, and service are always good here. The ambiance is pretty good considering it's in a strip shopping center with concrete floors.
Disappointing. Food was below average at above average prices. Server was pleasant but not this is not a fine dining experience.
They didn't have the first 2 steaks I tried to order so I ended up ordering the Wagau tomahawk ribeye. The steak had 4 cuts across it, I assume so the chef could check it. I asked them to substitute asparagus for the grilled vegetables. They charged me full price for the asparagus and didn't bring the vegetables. That is not what should be done. A small uncharge wouldn't have been a problem, but $10 for 4 pieces of asparagus?
I attached 1 pic of the steak on their website and another of what I got. I ordered it medium rare and they brought it on a hot plate with coals under it. By the time I was finished eating it, the meat cooked until it was gray and well done.
