   Wonderful, lovely restaurant. The owner, Steve, is so attentive to all details. The food is delicious, the service excellent and the ambiance very cool.

   We have eaten there many times over the years. About 4-6 times in the last year. It has always been fabulour until this visit. The waiter was very in attentive. Had to ask for almost everything. Very slow and did not check back in with us. He looked to be very attentive to everyone else, but not our table. I don't know what the problem was. But I was showing the restaurant off to my family and it was very disappointing. The ahi linguine was very salty, but the waiter never checked on us to let him know. I had to run him down to get the check so we could leave.

   We had a wonderful evening at Pasta Moon. However the prices charged were much higher than they should be. $42.00 for Lasagna ? Nope, not doing that again.

   Our pasta dishes were among the best we have ever been served. They were light and perfect in favor. The portions were quite large. The staff was polite and very attentive. It was an excellent experience.

   I finally had the chance to visit Pasta Moon in Half Moon Bay, and I can confidently say—it lived up to the hype. From the moment I walked in, I felt the cozy, coastal charm of the place. It strikes a perfect balance between upscale and welcoming. Warm lighting, rustic wood beams, and the low hum of conversation made it feel like a special night out without being stuffy. I started with the burrata with prosciutto and roasted peppers, which was fresh and creamy, paired perfectly with their house bread. For the main course, I went with the pappardelle with short rib ragu—hands down, one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a long time. The pasta was clearly house-made, and the ragu was rich, tender, and deeply flavorful. They’ve got a solid wine list, with a lot of California options (as expected), and the staff actually knew how to suggest pairings without sounding rehearsed. I love that. Service was top-notch—attentive without hovering. And the vibe? Relaxed but still polished. Locals mixed with tourists, and everyone seemed happy to be there. Prices are on the higher end, but totally justified for the quality and atmosphere. Definitely a “treat yourself” kind of place, but not so fancy you feel like you have to dress up. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit.

    It was our anniversary and they had a card for us. Food was delicious as usual. Service and ambiance were just great. One of our favorite places to eat. Make and confirming reservations was an easy process.
