The historic and beautiful Parker's Restaurant is your destination for fine dining in Boston. Our Executive Chef, Gerard Tice, is a master at creating a feast for your senses. He deliciously combines classic New England cuisine with contemporary-American flair at the birthplace of Boston Cream Pie, the Parker House roll and Baked Boston Schrod.

The main reason we dined at the restaurant was my husbands favorite dessert is the Boston Cream Pie. Sadly, that was the only thing we were disappointed in. Instead of a nice large slice of a tall Boston Cream Pie, we received a small individual cake that was dry, tasteless and only a small amount of chocolate on top. The rest of the dining experience was wonderful, including the Parker House rolls.

My husband and I went on a much needed date night. Not only was the food wonderful but the dining room is very elegant with its dark mahogany wood and brass finishings.
The true gem at the Parker house is Francesco. By the end of the night my husband and I felt like we had found a new friend. He was so attentive and personable. We loved talking with him about the Parker house, Boston and his family. I would highly recommend visiting the Parker house for dinner on your next night in the city.

wished it was better.. With the Parker House being a landmark in Boston we were expecting a special meal.. sadly it was not. The waiter although good had no personality.. trying to talk to us was a chore for him. We ordered their famous Baked Cod.. it was ok.. certainly something I could do at home.. their Steak was prepared correctly but lacked flavor as the scallop dish. The mixed vegetables were very al dente..so much so you needed to use a knife to cut them and they were cold.. as was the rice... Dessert was ok.. Boston creme pie was the best thing we ate all night.. too bad because the room is so nice just wish we could have loved the food..

The food/brunch was very good. It was just the $5.00 for a tea bag that put a damper on things. Really? $5.00???? It wasn't listed on the menu, or I would have not ordered that. Also the mini fruit plate for $14 had about $3.00 worth of fruit on it. I expect to pay more for dining there, but that tea bag made me wonder if other things were over priced too. Reconsider that a tea bag and hot water costs so little to an establishment like yours. Back to the Boston Tea Party!!

We arrived for our reservation at 9:00 PM on a Friday night and there were only 4 occupied tables. We soon found out why. We ordered the lump crab cake appetizer and it was literally soggy bread with a tiny bit of crabmeat. We then were served stale Parker House rolls. Our salads came, we had the organic beet salad and the local greenhouse salad with house made mozzarella. The salads were both awful and we were amazed that a salad could even be bad. We decided to cut our loss and skip the entre. We had a Boston cream pie for dessert which was pretty good.
The servers know the food is bad and they do try to make up for it with great service
Parker's restaurant is a huge disappointment!

The old world charm was amazing and the food was fantastic! My fist time trying the Beef Tartar and I found it delicious with many depths of flavor. The Iron Skillet Scallops were seared perfectly and served with crispy polenta, pea puree, and bacon crumbles. We completed our dinner with Boston Cream Pie and were very pleased. A wonderful experience and we'll be back to try brunch!

Omni Parker House
We had heard about their famous clam chowder and Boston Cream Pie, so we tried it for Sunday brunch. Set in the grand, old fashioned Omni Hotel , both the Hotel and restaurant have seen better days. The grand, ornate decor, while lovely, needs a little facelift. The petty, cavernous dining room was empty for brunch. The waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. The Boston Cream pie was really good, unfortunately 3 of the 4 meals we ordered were not. The traditional eggs Benedict were good with well made hollandaise sauce and well cooked poached eggs. The crab cakes on the crab cakes Benedict did not have the home made fresh taste we expected. The French toast with pecan nut butter and bananas was not carefully prepared and had some banana pieces and whole nuts “thrown “ on the French toast as an afterthought. While the berries in the yogurt parfait were fresh, the yogurt and granola were commercial and ordinary. The short rib sandwich was also very mediocre. Finally, the “famous” clam chowder was good, not great. Maybe Parker’s is better for dinner, or just for Boston Cream Pie and coffee, but I would not run back for brunch.

Service was exceptional! Food was outstanding. A little expensive but a wonderful evening. We were taken good care of and not rushed. We would recommend it!

From the start the host not to friendly then the food bold taste , the carrot cake was dry and tasty old,
First time to go and last time. Many good restaurants to pick for next time.

My friend and I were there on a Tuesday night, so it was pretty quiet. You can find pretty much anything you like from fresh fish, to chicken dishes, to fabulous steaks, and a venison chop. We had the haddock and the sirloin steak. The presentation was very appealing, the food was piping hot, with a mixture of vegetables. The sweet corn ravioli was quite interesting and quite delicious for our appetizer. The dessert was their famous Boston Cream Cake, living up to its expectations, I had the cheese cake with a puree raspberry sauce, delicious as well......The best part of our night was our fabulous server, Francesco. He was hysterical, very knowledgeable, and quite efficient. Ask for him, you can't go wrong. Tell him Maureen sent you !!! You won't regret it.

I loved the decor, it was a restaurant I went to in my younger years. The night we went there was a large party of young girls and they were sooo loud. For as much money as we spent I was disappointed in this. The crab cake was delicious but there was only one.
The French Pinot noir was very good. The Boston cream dessert was just okay.

The butter poached lobster was the best i've ever had, and I love lobster! My husbands fillet was cooked to perfection, and our waiter Francisco was wonderful.

Waiter made mistakes on our order. He brought a mimosa when we asked for pomegranate juice. He brought one pancake when we asked for three. He brought orange juice when we didn't order any. He also initially brought us juices meant for another table. The service from this waiter was very poor.

The food here is amazing from start to finish. The Parker House rolls were to die for, as expected. We ordered the clam chowder and cheese board. Both were enjoyed very much. For entrees, my husband ordered the delmonico steak, while I ordered the roasted chicken. The food was all excellent and we ate until we were stuffed. For dessert, we had to get the Boston Creme pie of course. The cake was super moist, but we didn't care for the "crunchy" outside. We also had drinks, expresso and an after dinner drink. The only down side to this dining experience was the staff. The host that seated us was very cold. Not a warm greeting, no eye contact and all business. Our server seemed nicer, but maybe forced because she was very busy. The man who passed out rolls was the best! A smile goes a long way and his was great.
