Pardo's Ratings and Reviews
Continues to have consistent superior service and menu. Some delightful new fall/winter additons to the menu. The special soup the night we were there was a wonderful butternut squash with pumpkin seeds. New Farm truck salad also has pumpkin and field peas and with the added grilled chicken is a perfect meal. Wine and cocktail list very good and cocktails are also consistent. This places never disappoints!!
What a fantastic experience... been hearing about Pardo's for a while but never got to go until now... service was outstanding, anything you needed was anticipated. The food was a 10 out of 10 on all counts. Had the filet and osso buca and simply outstanding! Loved the ambiance, very comfortable upscale restaurant!
We went early (6PM) and were seated immediately. The service was good.
I loved my starter-Heirloom tomato w crab meat salad on top and arugula
on the side. I got salmon which was wonderful. I didn't care for the carrot
pudding it was on-too sweet for me.
Everyone in my party was very happy w their meal.
We've dined here several times and have always been pleased. The menu was a bit different this time and noticeably more expensive. I ordered the market Fish special and was very pleased. I found the olive and fig tapenade served with it to be slightly over power the delicate fish flavor. My husband ordered a bone in pork chop and he said it was good but he probably would not order it again. We ordered a side of mac & cheese which were very good but unfortunately the brussels sprouts were sent back to the kitchen as I found them to not be edible. I was very surprised the kitchen sent it out that way. Not only were they brown colored- no green- but had a bad taste. Hopefully they will address the imbalance here. We will return to dine there but found it a bit cost prohibitive.
My favorite restaurant on the Northshore for both special occasions and a relaxing lunch. Lovely decor, innovative menu, knowledgeable friendly staff. I absolutely love their mussels in saffron broth with fries. The classic dish of Belgium done extremely well in Louisiana. Also the cherry ice cream is amazing. Can't wait for their new location.
Ambience was Good, even though it was located in a strip-mall. Food was Above Average, flavorful, seasoned Well, not overdone . Wine list was mediocre, a few Good choices, not a lot. Presented at the busiest time of the day 1800, obviously, sat for 10 minutes before a waiter stopped to offer us water, kept buzzing by us as if we were not present. Service got off to a rocky start, yet Improved as the evening went forward. Pricing was a little Higher than expected, Chateauneuf-du-Pape pricing on a Meiome budget. Service left a little to be desired, yet would recommend to a friend at a less busy time.
First, we're from out of town and visit here once or twice a year, and have been here before. On prior visits we had a wonderful server, Marcus. He's now the manager and an exceptional one. So there was a problem that should not exist, but it was Marcus and his staff's solution that made our visit so great. Pardo's has a wood burning oven. In prior visits, and in other places with such ovens, I've never smelled a wiff of smoke. But here there was very noticeable smoke, so the venilation system needs checking. Our party of 4 included a recent lung transplant patient, and smoke is very very harmful to him. So we told our server we could not stay. Enter Marcus, who took us next door to the much more casual sushi joint next door - owned by Pardo's. They would serve us Pardo stuff there, even though the 2 places are not connected inside, they took our stuff out the front of Pardos and into the other joint. I was thinking the service would be poor at best with this, but the others said lets do it. We then had 2 servers who were incredibly attentive, plus Marcus was over multiple times. So while we lost ambiance, we did have great food and incredible service.
So the problem should not have been there, and I am quite sure Marcus has already had it looked into. But very few places would have gone to these extremes to satisfy a party of 4. Our heartfelt thanks to Marcus, Tyler, and I feel terrible but I forgot the other server's name. You guys are all the best!!!
Pardo's is consistently outstanding -- the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the attentiveness of the staff. Osmond has done a great job in setting a high bar for performance, mixing a relaxing setting with a terrific product. Highly recommended for almost any occasion.
Pardos is getting overpriced for the North shore
Also, the entree plates should be much warmer/hot and the meal should be steaming!! I had to send mine back and it still didn't come back hot enough.
Great bread but they need to give out more with each serving instead of waiting for you to beg for more.
Great wait staff.
the food and service were both pretty good. Not much a dessert menu to really wow is. Portion sizes weren't anything special, though the flavors were good. Kind of loud in the building and the staff seemed to hurry us along. I appreciate a much more leisurely meal.
We had a wonderful dining experience. Paige took great care of us and even accommodated a request for an item that was not on the menu. She also made exceptional wine recommendations. The night Manager was engaging and friendly. The food was exceptional! Don't miss the Braised Short Rib and Foie Gras Ravioli if it's on the special appetizer menu! We will be back - and soon! Great job Team Pardo!
This was our first visit to Pardo's and what a great experience! We met our daughter and son in law for lunch and all of us were very pleased with the menu and the selections. I normally have a light lunch, but on this day, I decided to go all in! The Salmon was cooked to perfection , moist and lightly glazed. Their fish special was a Trigger fish which son in law said was awesome. Lump Crabmeat sandwich and Beef Tenderloin rounded out the table. If you want a special lunch and a place to relax and enjoy a great meal, try Pardo's!!
