**A note from the restaurant**
Outside seating is on a first come, first serve basis.
Has another great meal here with some first time guests. Everyone enjoyed the food but it would be great if the servers took some note of French behavior and not clear your plates out from under you when you’re not finished. This occurred several times on a Monday night when the place was clearing out (lots of empty tables so not waiting for us to finish).
We were at a corner table by ordering station where people kept passing to get to their table. Very annoying to be stared at all night and have chair constantly bumped in to
I've been to Parc many, many times and it never disappoints.
If you go for breakfast or brunch and it's super crowded, turn around and go somewhere else. My server was a nice fellow but not able to be very attentive. I think they forgot my order until I threatened to leave after 50+ minutes waiting. The result was I had to eat in a rush and couldn't enjoy the meal.
Excellent service and very good French food. Although very noisy, we would definitely be back.
Super tasty food, everything we ordered from appetizer to dessert was top notch
A reliable spot for a lovely meal. Excellent service. The bar area gets a little too noisy for me, and the hostess accommodated my request to sit in the dining room toward the back. That said, it's fun to sit at the bar and eat, depending on one's mood. Love the salade verte! Simple and delicious. And our martinis with bleu cheese olives were outstanding.
Had the best trout almandine ever!!!!!
Delicious meal and always enjoy the wonderful breads! Service was great but noise level high due to fully packed restaurant.
Service was great. Wish my food was hotter but other then that it was good
Great brunch, highly recommend the Eggs Norwegian.
Firstly, the service was AMAZING! Our waiter was so attentive, polite, and professional- he made the entire meal that much better! Second, the food was out of the world incredible. The French onion soup is just as fabulous as everyone says! Overall fantastic experience and cannot wait to go back!
The yogurt parfait is the best! And also recommend the apple tartin
Can’t thank your team enough for an incredible night! I feel terrible I don’t remember the name of the gent serving us, but he was crushing it! Friendly, knowledgeable on the food and wine list, and made sure we had an awesome evening. The hosts were excellent too! Next time I’m in Philly will definitely make my way back. Thank you thank you!
Great: Food quality, hostess, bartender ----- Needs improvement: Menu descriptions, allergy considerations ----- When I made my reservation via OpenTable, I was explicit about my girlfriend's allergies in the reservation notes. Perhaps I should have mentioned it again at the table, but having worked in restaurants as a server, bartender, and FOH manager, I assumed the waitstaff would confirm the allergies with the table and then alert the kitchen. It wasn't until our cheese board arrived with nuts that I thought I should mention the allergy again. Fortunately the server had not yet fired our second course and we could change her entree (she had originally ordered the agnolotti, which, according to the server, includes nuts). This brings me to my next point: either the menu or the server (or ideally both) should certainly alert guests to any allergy triggers in the dishes. The menu's description of the agnolotti did not include nuts. Additionally, the tartare description neglected to mention horseradish (at least, it tasted like horseradish to us), which is a rather potent ingredient that some guests do not enjoy. Fortunately, I enjoyed it, but my date would have ordered something different had the menu been more descriptive. I was happy to return to Parc for dinner, and we ultimately enjoyed the experience, but allergies are such an important detail that should not be taken lightly. Perhaps a more descriptive menu and waitstaff could be of help.
Awesome as always. Amazing Steak au Pouvre, Bouef Bourgignone, and Salad Lyonnaise. We also had a most charming waiter. We love the European ambience at Parc.
The service and food were outstanding—what we’ve come to expect from Starr restaurants.
Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Kind of felt rushed out of there as the waiter brought our check before we even finished our drinks and didn't give us the opportunity to order another.
I'm assuming a large part of that had to to with Valentine's Day weekend and a lot of customers but as someone who made a reservation and paying to enjoy ourselves it would have been nice to be able to actually sit and enjoy ourselves.
We had a great time enjoying brunch in a very energetic atmosphere. The pastries and ravioli were fantastic!
Extremely cold right by the windows! Luckily the server helped move us to a new table. We never got a bread basket which was a big disappointment - oh how I love that cranberry bread!!
There is nothing better than Parc. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and top notch service. Onion soup is delicious as well as the quiche Lorraine. Have never had a bad meal
This was the second time I’ve eaten at this restaurant. I love everything about this place...especially the service. We were a large party...and even though they were packed, you would never know it. Everything on the menu we tried was delicious. You won’t be disappointed!
This was our first time at Parc and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the attention to details, and how authentic the dishes were.
The food was amazing! Not a thing we ate disappointed us. The service was subpar. Our waitress did her job but the experience wasn’t enhanced by her at all.
Loved it again
My wife and I were celebrating Valentine's Day by enjoying dinner at this Philadelphia staple. We were seated on time, our coats were promptly taken, and we were seated at this cute table up against the wall (view of Locust of street/Curtis Institute of Music) in the "back room".
Service: We were promptly greeted by Brian, who was very knowledgeable, punctual, and friendly. I never had an empty glass and he toted the touch point line perfectly; we always felt like we were being taken care of rather than "smothered". He is a great example of how service should be and he should be recognized for his efforts.
Food: The bread and fresh butter were superb. Perfectly crispy but soft on the inside and the butter was perfectly balanced between savory and sweet. DEFINITELY get the onion soup gratinée! For our entrees, my wife got the beef bourguignon and the beef literally melted in your mouth. Would definitely recommend on a cold day. I enjoyed the veal escalope and it was divine. The mushroom cream sauce wasn't too heavy and the veal was cooked perfectly.
Overall: My wife and I were very impressed with the overall dining experience Parc provided, from start to finish. The service was impeccable and the food was well worth the money. Parc is a well oiled-machine behind the scenes and provides incredible service to its patrons.
Always a solid good meal. Service is excellent as always . Would recommended for casual dining or a special occasion.
We have always enjoyed our time at Parc. The food is always great and staff very friendly and helpful.
Fantastic as always, exceptional food and service!
Parc was on the pricier aside, but all in all, it was an excellent experience, all things included.
Delicious as always. My frequent dining companion, his son and I decided to mix it up from our usual go-to’s. We shared the Moules Frites - mussels in white wine, shallots, garlic with French fries, which was great. The muscles were plump and delicious, fires perfectly crisped. My one friend and I intended to split both the steak frites and the sea bass. After a miscommunication we ended up with just the steak frites, which was actually enough after their incredible bread and the muscles. My friends’ son shared some of his bass with us which was also wonderful. Parc is always a great choice!
Great but a little too noisy for conversation.
Just a wonderful date night in Rittenhouse square. Great cocktails at the bar followed by a French inspired cuisine. My husband French onion soup and an amazing pork chop special. I had a mushroom tart (big enough for 2) and veal. Sitting by the window overlooking the square lit up with snowflake lights was delightful. Wonderful wine list too.
Everything we ate was truly amazing and our server was outstanding!
Mushroom soup was just delicious. Almost a little better than mine. Butter lettuce and string bean salad with tarragon was delicious. Mussels and burger that we split. Too full for dessert 😰
Ryan was our server and he was great. We didnt feel rushed and the food was delicious.
Parc is a bisro style restaurant in the heart of Philadelphia. The ambiance is close enough to a French bistro, The food on the menu goes from simple to sophisticated and service is prompt and courteous but discreet.
I ordered the lamb shank which was incredible. The inside is much brighter and warmer than some of the nicer restaurants in the area, which is refreshing. Their dessert line up is also quite good. It's not a bargain, but if you're looking for a nice dinner, this is great for dates.
We shared several appetizers, all were good. We most enjoyed the escargot, crab and avocado salad and the mushroom soup. Our server was outstanding, very knowledgeable and he shared his recommendations which aided our selections.
Parc was everything we expected and more. A very French bistro on Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square. French onion soup and a mushroom soup for starters; one order of steak-frites, another of a cheese omelet. We shared a dessert, tasted the macarons and had a demi-carafe of house wine for a remarkably low total. Service was of a very high calibre. We would happily return. One more thing: we had alerted the restaurant to the fact that the meal was in celebration of a birthday. They decorated the dessert plate with those words, making it an even more special occasion.
Delicious food, great waitstaff, old school French vibe. Lovely cocktails and classic dishes. Noisy but charming, warm atmosphere.
