    My first time at Pappas I brought family that was visiting because of the “crab cakes” huge menu. I enjoyed the experience. Food great. Crab cake is good, not sure about the hype though. I will go back! I want to try more from the menu.

    My brother and I met at the restaurant at 11 am. Our server, Rhonda, told us about the crab cake lunch special. Soup (we ordered the Maryland crab) and Crab Cake. The food was delicious and Rhonda is an excellent server, who made our visit so enjoyable.

    Ventured over for the first time to the Cockeysville location. My wife and I enjoyed the crab cakes very much. We love the “old school “ atmosphere. Especially the breadsticks. We would definitely be back.

    We had a delightful evening at Pappas reuniting with old friends. Food was good...we wanted crabs for our out of town friends' pleasure, the seating was roomy, and the noise level was such that our conversation was not difficult to hear. (This is very unusual in many restaurants today...generally there is very loud rock music blaring, so conversation is impossible!) Thank you, Pappas. We shall return!

    As usual Pappa’s was very busy, even for a Monday evening. The waiter was good, noise was a little over the top but, the main attraction - crab cakes were absolutely delicious - no shells, no fillers! Only complaint - where are the cucumbers? If you have never experienced Pappa’s, you owe it to yourself to go.

    THANK YOU PAPPAS Restaurant in Cockeysville, Maryland for providing such a great experience. We had never heard of been to Pappas until I Googled fine dining places in or near Timonium, because when I go to see my mother (almost 98 year old) once or twice a month, I like to take her to lunch and sometimes a new place for a new experience. Pappas came up online, and since my husband, mom, and I all LOVE crab cakes, I knew this would be a great experience! The waiter was attentive and prompt. My mother had a great time and we all ordered the SEAFOOD PLATTER which had grilled crab cake (huge), scallops, big shrimp, orange roughy and fried oysters. We ate cream of crab soup for appetizer. We loved the food and we were glad that it was relatively quiet for a Saturday (we were on the dining side where it is quieter), not the Sports Bar side. And we got a very comfortable booth that I requested, so thank you to all who made this lunch so very special. This will be a great memory for many years to come. Thank you again so much. I really appreciated the Chef, the waiter, the door host, and everyone.

    We love having Boris as our server. He is so attentive and always gets everything right. An asset to your staff, an experienced server and ambitious young man, very personable, and we hope to have him again next time we return. The food is always delicious and we’re frequent diners at your restaurant. A++

    The crab cakes were exceptionally good. Packed with crab meat with very little filler. We tried both the Maryland crab soup and the creamy crab soup and they were top notch. Our side dishes the baked potato, apple sauce, and cole slaw were perfect complements to the entrees. Our server Ryan was friendly, professional, courteous and efficient. We never felt like we were being rushed. I had the hot fudge sundae for dessert and it was on par with the best ice cream parlors. It was a truly wonderful experience.

    Excellent restaurant for enjoying a meal for two or 50. The food was excellent and our guests from out of town loved the meal. Our server, Wendy, in the Cockeysville restaurant, was fabulous. There was an anniversary party in the next room and the set up looked lovely. The crab cakes are the specialty and didn’t disappoint. Our friends said they were the best they ever ate. We agreed. Thank you to the management for maintaining such high quality food, competent and personable staff, and inviting ambience all these years.

    Good food as always. Service was excellent and the server polite and attentive. Crab Cake platter for the wife and a Shrimp salad platter for me. Both were good and the wine we had with our meals was excellent. We will be going back for celebrations of birthdays and other special events.

    Perfect weekday restaurant for a one on one business lunch meeting. Atmosphere was conducive to discussion and server demonstrated the right amount of attentiveness. Menu selections were extensive with a seafood emphasis. Our selections were very good. We are repeat customers and enjoy Pappas.

    8/17/2016 Order was incorrect. Ordered stuff shrimp and received crab cake. To correct mistake by server took extremely long time. By the time received other 3 customers were done. Also, there wasn't anything offered to take sting out of mistake. Also, I was expecting it to be Crab Cake Wednesday w/discount of $ 3.00, however, the full price was charged. I have emailed the restaurant, but haven't heard any response.

    We had a stuffed soft shell crab dinner. Awesome. Waiter was wonderful. Only disappointing thing was a wait for my 7:00’resevation. Ended up going to bar side. Not horrible but not what I expected.

    Very disappointed with crab cakes. Not the lump crab meat I’m used to from prior visits to Pappas. This was our first time at the Cockeysville location. The crab cakes smelled very fishy…not like crab meat. I ordered the double crab cake Platter. $50 bucks wasted.

    Ordered the crab cakes and crab imperial , large portions , both were delicious. Asparagus were tough but everything else was wonderful. Get reservations , it was packed on a Wednesday night.

    Interior of the restaurant requires an update. Our party was seated on cushioned wall seating that was torn and taped with duct tape and required me and my sister to bounce around to sit properly at that table and wondering if our attire would be snagged by the breakage of the vinyl seating! The food was overpriced for the quality! Poor atmosphere definitely a deterrent for us to return or recommend to friends or relatives.

    We had our business meeting while enjoying lunch. It was great. Boris, our server, was attentive, helpful, and very professional. The food was delicious and hot and definitely, plenty. I, also, enjoyed that a manager came over to ask if we were enjoying our meals. I’ll definitely host more business lunch meetings here.

    I had enjoyed excellent quality of food at events catered by Pappas and wanted to share the amazing crab cakes with a friend. The crab cakes were mediocre and short of the promised 8 ounces. The baked potato was an over-microwaved potato that left very little edible potato. The cauliflower and broccoli vegetable of the day were boiled to crumbs. The spanakopita did not resemble any spanakopita I had ever eaten before. There were few layers of phyllo. It looked more like a puff pastry. The Greek salad accompanying the spanakopita was very good, if heavy on the dressing. The sliced cucumber salad we were given upon arrival was very good, although there was too much sugar in the dressing. My dining partner was disappointed at being given a bottle of iced tea that looked like it came from a convenience store, rather than actual brewed iced tea. Overall, the experience was mediocre. I was embarrassed to have raved about this place to my dining partner.

    Always enjoy the crab cakes. Great Crab meat egg rolls but the Thai chilli sauce added an odd taste to the dish. They added something to the Thai chilli sauce that it unappealing. The egg rolls were delicious otherwise.

    My party ate outside and our waiter Patrick was the best waiter I have ever experienced. He was courteous, patient, extremely helpful, saw to our needs the whole time we were there. The food was awesome, made my weekend!!! Kudos to Pappas and our waiter Patrick.

    The three of us had the crab cake special, each with a different soup and side dish. All three had the rice pudding with whipped cream for dessert. Everything was delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive, checked on us from time to time, but did not hover. We had a delightful visit and a great meal.
