I made a reservation for breakfast at 10:30am on Sunday and received confirmation. I drove 40 minutes only find the restaurant was closed. I wish Open Table had notified me. I did find another place and will return to Panama Hotel as I really like the food and atmosphere. I understand these are difficult times.

Sat in the patio, sunny warm day, was delightful. The food was very good, specially the Colcanon and the crab salad. Intend to return so my husband can try the delightful Colcanon.

Well, it has certainly been discovered! Lots of repeat customers and bustling lunch crowd. That’s because it is so comfortable. Pretty quiet. Great menu. Excellent personalized service and good value. It is just the opposite of trendy. Convivial is a good adjective. Lots of personality. I like the fish tacos and the soup and interesting salads

Love The Panama restaurant. It's just a delightful place to spend an evening. The food is delicious, the staff are all courteous and friendly. Good wines, wonderful ambiance. We like to "dine with music." When the restaurant is busy inside, and it often is, the conversation level with the music can be a bit difficult for some people. When the patio is open in warmer weather, dining out there is also lovely. You'll enjoy this place!

Beautiful sunny warm February day to dine on the charming patio with umbrellas. Had the 1/2 avocado filled with crab meat-yummy. Shared the ice cream sundae & coffee, a delightful ending to time shared with a friend. Definitely will return soon.

Our second time celebrating Valentine's day ,pink balloons, amazing menu, great service, more tables in lieu of live music..our only disappointment, over it quickly. There's nowhere else we would consider locally for a special and romantic evening. We'll be back next year...and for other celebrations. The menu is always outstanding as is the service, atmosphere, ambience...thank you for a wonderful time

The Panama Hotel Restaurant is a gem. Wonderful ambiance, delicious food with ample portions and very nice waitstaff. It's welcoming, unpretentious, comfortable, perfect lighting, and feels so homey. I've been many times and the food is always of the highest quality. Obviously my favorite restaurant.

Surprise-wow was our food great! This little neighbor gem is going on our frequent dining list. Everyone on Wednesday night was wonderful and welcoming. Angel was attentive and super nice, as well as our server. Honestly, a wonderful experience-you must give it a try.

Had dinner there the other night. The place was packed. I think they closed the patio seating due to the weather. They had live music too - a smooth jazz band. It was perfect for the occasion. Not too loud. Everything was perfect. I really liked our waiter. I think his name was Josh. This place is a hidden gem.

Had a very nice dinner with friends. We all had a variety of appetizers that were quite delicious. Service was prompt but not obtrusive. The scallop tacos were particularly interesting and tasty.

I have had some very nice meals at Panama Hotel over the past several years. Unfortunately, this meal was mediocre; even the espresso was terrible. The noise level was ridiculously high. My friend and I had to shout to hear each other. Our server was very sweet and overall, the service was good.

The entire evening was thoroughly enjoyably . The little tostadas appetizer were delicious as was the seafood salad main course. The server was very attentive , did not clear the table until everyone was finished eating which was appreciated. We will certainly dine at the Panama Hotel again.

Such a delightful, hidden restaurant (but not TOO hidden-it's always packed!). The food was delicious-crab and avocado salads with a wonderful dressing. Service was excellent and our server was delightful. Can't wait to go back again! Maybe in the spring or fall-to enjoy our meal on the outdoor patio.

Terrific meal of fresh salmon and beets and a variety of vegetables! Excellent service in a beautiful environment! Asked to take tea and dessert back to our room for more conversation as the restaurant filled up and we were graciously accommodated. Can’t say enough about the personal, kind service of this staff at both the restaurant and the hotel!

Unbelievably loud and raucous group made lunchtime conversation nearly impossible, host and waitstaff seemed confused, lunch was OK, but fairly expensive for what it was. Overall a disappointment for sure.

I have had very good experiences here before, and recommended it over Le Garage, which tends to be noisy. Ironically, at this Sunday brunch, there was an EXTREMELY LOUD group in the main dining room. The noise was so intense we could not converse. It went on for almost the whole time we were there. The servers sympathized and said it was terrible for them too, but there was nothing they could do about it. We wondered if they made any attempt to get this group under control. Maybe stop serving them mimosas??? These people should have been in a private room. This was no doubt an unusual happening, but I would be reluctant to go back to the Panama again. Management should find a way to deal with this when it happens. Other patrons got up and left, and that's what, in retrospect, we should have done. It ruined a long-anticipated outing with friends, and will not be soon forgotten.

Been coming here for years and years and love the good food and quaintness. Had a family gathering for the holidays (just 5 of us) but we couldn’t talk across the table for the noise level. I don’t remember the restaurant ever being noisy but it was. Great service and food will keep me coming back.

What an interesting place! Been here since 1918, but now an upscale, quality gourmet restaurant. Had the Calamari appetizer, then the stuffed poblano. Both excellent. Service was great!
