Excellent service and great food.
Had a fabulous dinner with two of our kids (14, 16). Our server Eric recommended the salmon and he was right. The wild Coho was moist and flavorful. Eric was a delightful server and did his job well. The “carlemized” cauliflower was not carmelized but still very good. The Willamette Rose was nice and refreshing.
Great place to eat before the 5th
This wasn't our first visit to Palomino. This time there were 7 of us celebrating my husband's birthday, pre-theatre. We appreciated that Palomino was able to accommodate our request via Open Table for a group table near the railing. Ammand (?) was FABULOUS! It's clear he was busy, but we were amiably well taken care of. The table shared crispy caprese, roasted cauliflower, Brussel sprouts with pancetta, and meatballs to start, since we did not all arrive at the same time. The entrees ranged from scallops to kale salad with steak added, and all tummies were happy. The food was fairly timely, as were the drinks and the water. For dessert we shared two orders of the donuts, plus a creme brûlée with a candle for the birthday boy. Palomino is a comfortably elegant spot to be with friends. Special enough but not precious. We'll be back! :-)
We eat at Palomino every time we are in Seattle. The restaurant exceeds at what is important to us in how we enjoy a restaurant. The menu is nicely varied and everything we have tried was nicely executed. We especially like the short ribs and the chicken Marsala. The service has been excellent each and every time we visit. The menu prices are reasonable and the ambiance is good. The only thing that bothers us is they apply a 4.5 percent surcharge to the bill to compensate for the city of Seattle $15 per hour mandatory minimum salary. We would prefer they raise their menu prices and eliminate the surcharge.
Calamari appetizer was excellent. Server very efficient and friendly.
I had been there before years ago and had loved it. I ordered the same salad I had last time and it was good, but not as good as I remembered. It was half the size but more than twice the price so not a great value. There are many great restaurants in the neighborhood so I probably won't be back.
I went here with my brother for an impromptu lunch. I was able to make a lunch reservation that morning, which is a plus for Seattle. The service was impeccable! Our waitress was awesome and very helpful when it came to food selections. The handcrafted cocktails are really good. I had the Fizzy Raspberry Mojito, and it was AMAZING! Definitely going back just for that! The overall vibe of the restaurant was great for conversations.
Consistently great food and experience!
Great gluten free seafood fettuccine
Wonder lavender cosmo
Delicious crepe brûlée
Friendly waitress and hostess
Bad waiter experience. The waiter was rude, when pouring a glass of wine for my daughter he was talking to the people at the table next to us and spilled some of the wine on the table and my daughter, he didn't even notice what he did and just walked away. He would acknowledge my husband but seemed short with us ladies. Also suggest a few more vegetarian options besides salad.
We made reservations there because we had tickets to The Paramount. It was our first time eating at Palamino. The food was delicious, the service was great and we were very happy when we left. Definetly will be back again.
Awesome! Great food, great staff, attentive but not obtrusive service.
Our Server Tony was amazing! Thank you for a great meal.
I took my mom for Mother’s Day brunch. We all enjoyed ourselves. Beautiful restaurant, classy delicious food and wonderful service.
Very good experience from beginning to end! The food was excellent and the wait staff exhibited superb professionalism and customer service.
Just OK. The service was decent but the food was overpriced. I had steak and eggs for mother’s day. Steak was good but tiny. Potatoes were undercooked. Blah. We stopped at Dicks after for dessert and to top off our hunger.
Their portabello mushroom soup is excellent. Other than that, no reason to go back...
Service was sincere - comped our drinks because it was our anniversary & we were short on time as we were seeing a show after we ate. Awesome, right?! Food was totally over-cooked tho - mahi was way incredibly over done as were the accompanying noodles.
5 of us enjoyed dinner before a show. 2 had there delicious thin crusty pizza. I had ragu first carne, a comfort food that warms the heart. The bread starter is warm and irresistible.
Excellent meal and service; their focaccia is the best!!!
If you enjoy seafood, try the Fruit of the Sea Fettuccine.
The service was great and the food was delicious. We had the crispy caprese, and the fettuccine de frutti. The only “complaint” would be some other patrons were soooooo loud. Other than that we enjoyed our visit.
We had lunch at Palomino before going to a musical at the Fifth Avenue theater. It's very convenient for that purpose and the menu has something good for everyone. Without our telling the waiter, he assumed that we were attending the matinee and gave us a 10% theater discount that we hadn't known about. He also split our checks three ways without our asking for that service. Excellent waiter and food! Palomino is also a pretty place.
We had a great time.
The food was good, but the service, while very congenial, was very slow, and rushed to get to the theater. I would rather have a server that is efficient, than one that is chatty. We were unable to order an appetizer or desert, in the time allotted.
Palomino offer consistent quality and friendly service.
Enjoyed dinner before 5th Avenue Theater. Waiter was very helpful and customized our dinner orders providing vegetable options other than what was on the menu. Very nice!
Great meal and the staff was great from the greeters to servers to manager
I enjoy eating at the Palomino before going to the theater. I've had the same waiter during my last two times dining there. He is professional, friendly, and makes sure were out in time to make the curtain call. The food was excellent.
One of our favorite restaurants--especially for before/after theater. This place is great because one of our friends has challenging dietary restrictions and they are always accommodating and can make changes to menu items and definitely explain everything that is in an item and how it is prepared. Great wait staff--expertly trained!
This is a FUN place to meet friends. Food is good; our server, Paul, was awesome in spite of having too many people to look after. The downtown location gets VERY busy at lunch time, therefore VERY noisy but we were fine anyway.
Great ambiance, wonderful dependable food and fabulous service.
Service and dinner was great. We had a time limit due to a show and they worked with us for a relaxed dining experience.
Palomino was an excellent place to celebrate a birthday complete with a card & yummy dessert, which we were glad was something she wanted since it was picked out for us. We arrived when the restaurant was mostly empty and the atmosphere was quiet. As the crowds grew it got louder but we were still able to have a nice time. One reason for the "good" rating for service was that as the crowds grow it took longer and longer to get our food or even get asked if we wanted a refill of water. Everyone around us were getting their food and we felt like we were in the abyss just being passed by. Once our main meal arrived, it was delicious.
My main course (ahi) was very bad - over cooked , dominated by a bad sauce, etc. The other fish preparations were also nothing special.
Our server was very attentive.
Our waiter was attentive and the food was great. I thought the prices were reasonable for lunch. I’m coming back!
Palomino is our go-to place for dining before or after the theatre. The service is always 1st class and the food is exceptional.
Comfortable place to meet friends for lunch and conversation.
We often dine at the Palomino on Theater nights and when it is just the two of us, we are generally walked the length of the restaurant and seated among the large groups in the very rear. This last time there were a dozen empty “Two Top” tables passed along the way.
The large parties seated around us are naturally buzzing with conversations that make it difficult for the two of us to chat. In addition, the time between ordering a drink and service of that drink seems unusually long, especially when the party of eight or ten at the adjacent tables are submitting their orders at the same time, to the same waitperson.
The waitperson is dealing with what they are handed, but the meal seems hurried because the food order needs to be submitted ahead the the large adjacent tables and the drinks have barely arrived. Is this seating placement because we reserved via Open Table? I think the restaurant can and should do better.
Excellent food and great service; was very busy with some overly boisterous guests - but still a good time.
Went before show again and was not disappointed. They are reliable. Service staff always wonderful, friendly, witty and responsive. Food is good. I tried the chicken and spinach pizza which has thin crispy crust. A little bland for me, could have more flavor but looked pretty. Husband had pasta dish. Good flavor with pepper spice, sauce sunk to bottom of deep dish. I think it might be better served in a shallow bowl. Even with all this said we will most likely return and try more dishes.
