Great place to grab cocktails and a bite before a date night movie.
Been awhile since I’ve been here but tasted as great as it did years ago when I went to Seattle! Bellevue location is awesome! Be back soon!
Excellent service and the food was very good. Went out of their way to make the night pleasant.
My fettuccine Alfredo barely had any sauce. Also barely anything in the sauce. Disappointing for $27 a plate. Dessert was okay, but not much like a real tiramisu
just a casual place...nothing special...we just had a quick bite...watched a little sports in the bar
The food was outstanding, the service was even better. This is the first time we've been to Palomino...but it certainly won't be the last.
We were nervous when we saw the health rating on arrival, but took a chance. It was okay, pizza was delicious, the pasta was a miss, which they graciously applied a credit for. Service was great, the server was pleasant, helpful and accommodating.
We were visiting the city, it wouldn’t be a quick rush to go there again if were in town, but I do recommend they work on their food safety rating.
The food is meh. The pasta I ordered had barely any meat in it. I’ve eaten at the Seattle location and had a better meal. Both times at Bellevue I was disappointed. The server stopped refilling water glasses once the food was gone even though we were still talking and there were plenty of available tables.
Staff was friendly, food was great, ambiance was nice. I felt like the food was priced just a touch high but other than everything was great.
My husband and I made a reservation to have dinner at Palomino as we were coming to town for our anniversary. We have enjoyed going to Palomino for many years and always look forward to a good meal. Unfortunately our meal was just not that great. My husband's chicken parmesan was fine, but the plating was not good. I honestly never thought I cared about plating until I saw what a difference it can make in a meal. My margarita was pretty bad and not worth $11. We were especially disappointed when we went to order the Sicilian donuts, our favorite item, only to realize they have been taken off the menu. When our bill came for almost $90 we looked at each other and wondered if we would have had a meal just as good at the Red Robin across the street for much less. We left and got ice cream at the mall. I don't think we will be returning. We are quite disappointed as a meal at Palomino has always been a highlight of our trips to the Seattle area.
Good service, great food, fabulous ambiance. If you're in the area it's a must do.
I've been dining at Palomino since it first opened in downtown Seattle, and have eaten at the Bellevue location many times. But the quality of the food and service can no longer compete with the other restaurant options that are now available. There were only 4 tables occupied the last time we were there, and even then the service was not particularly good. The server/kitchen forgot one of the 4 entrees we ordered, and when it did come out eventually it was nearly uneatable. In fairness, management did comp the meal and waved the corkage fee for the bottle of wine we brought in. But the atmosphere is almost ghoulish - glaring, uninviting lighting and bland, brown décor. Definitely needs a makeover.
The Seattle Restaurant is AWESOME. Th Bellevue location is an embarrassment
Great service. We booked for our moms birthday and they tested her to a free dessert. It was a Sunday lunch get together and brunch I believe goes on until 3 with bottomless mimosas. The food is always great. The chop chop salad was my favorite and I will definitely order it again. The rotini was very filling and cheesy for half the size- I got the pasta and salad lunch split. We will be back!
4 of us met for Sunday brunch. The Bloody Mary was outstanding, and the bottomless mimosas were a great deal. The restaurant was nearly empty and it still took over 40 minutes for our breakfasts to arrive. The eggs Benedict were cold and lacking hollandaise. The steak with the steak and eggs was tiny, and nobody got their ordered toast (which we alerted our server was missing when she delivered the plates) until we were ready to leave. The toasts arrived cold with no butter or jam in sight. We gave up and left. I’ve been eating brunch at Palomino for years and it was always fine. Not this time.
My friend suggested we do Palomino's for lunch. Walking in, there were no servers, no hosts, no workers in sight at the swing of rush lunch (11:45am) which was the time of our reservation. It took a while for a hostess to greet us and eventually our server just seated us and tended to us (she was great). I think we were also a little confused as to how long it was taking the food because of how bare the dining area was. There were about four other tables besides us (two large parties, and two smaller tables). I ordered the mozzarella to start with and as I was eating through the second piece, I saw a piece of hair in between the mozzarella and the breading and stopped eating. When the hostess walked by, I notified her and she had the look of "What do you want me to do about it?" look on her face (so odd). So I in turn said, well maybe you could let our server or the kitchen know. The server came out and apologized and took the plate and asked if she could get another one out or if I wanted to order something else, I kindly rejected the offer. She actually ended up taking both ordered appetizers off of the bill (thank you!). So although the overall experience was pretty "meh", our server was really nice, attentive, and rectified the experience. I probably would not go back here though. The prices are quite high too for the food.
I have dined at Palomino in Bellevue many times over the years as Bellevue Square is where I meet with my niece and great nieces. There is something missing from the downtown experience which is impressive.
The beverage service was fair, not great. I had the maple chicken salad which was god except for the over cooked chewy chicken breast. The kids were happy with their pizza, my nephew had salmon which was a bit dry.
The experience was unsettling as the table didn't get cleared on time, drink orders were not heard by the waiter and often I had to check with him.
Lunch was $230.00for all of us and the experience left me anxious. The waited tried and was apologetic. I had lunch downtown with a friend in June and the service was so smooth and pleasantly delivered. Often in the Bellevue restaurant I have felt that the I have to get up and look for the waitperson to get a bill. Once we had ordered lunch and after some time the waiter came by and asked me to change my order as the item I ordered wasn't sent to the grill and I would have to wait 20 min. without food while the others ate.
Service was a bit slow, even though the restaurant was not at all busy. Quite pricey for what it was.
Love Palomino! The menu is terrific and has a good variety without being overwhelming. Variety in type of food, pricing and size of portions. A perfect balance in service that is friendly and timely, nice atmosphere and great location. Nice without being stuffy. Every time I'm there I want to go back.
Very nice atmosphere. A quiet time with friends. The chopped salad was delicious! Enjoy!
We frequently go to the Seattle Palomino location. We didn't feel like driving into Seattle and instead gave the Bellevue location a try.
It was very quiet inside, maybe 2 other tables and that was 7:00pm on a Saturday night. Yet the Seattle location would be standing room only at the same time. Turns out there might be a reason for it.
More importantly while some items are on the menu at both locations, many are not. I had planned on ordering the filet mignon, one of my favorites at the Seattle location. Not only was that not on the menu at Bellevue, quite literally no steaks were. They had "steak frittes" basically thin deep fried steak strips. Not at all what I wanted and not what I would call a steak. In all fairness I probably should have looked at the menu. But usually a restaurant with multiple locations will have matching menus, or close to it.
I reluctantly ordered the chicken parm, the accompanying pasta tasted good but was a touch on the cold side. The chicken was covered so thick in cheese that the fried crust was soggy and lost in the cheese goo.
My wife ordered the prawn scampi which she said tasted great, however the accompanying garlic bread was placed in the bottom of the dish with the prawns and garlic butter on top so that when it arrived the bread was soggy and limp. Not exactly what you want for garlic bread.
We each ordered drinks, I went with the Margarita, my wife with just a cranberry and vodka. Both tasted fine but there was so much ice in each drink that there was less than 3 ounces of drinkable liquid in each short glass. That's fine maybe if it was happy hour priced drinks but for $10 you'd expect more than 3 or 4 sips.
The restaurant decor is nice, feels upscale and warm. Service from our server was very good, he was clearly trying hard. Overall though the food quality was so sub par and the menu choices so limited compared to Seattle that there just isn't a reason to go back.
This was my first time dining at Palomino. Everything was far beyond expectation! The asiago-almond crusted scallops were some of the best flavors I’ve ever experienced...absolutely delicious. I had a glass of barbera and another of malbec (they ran out of the barbera); both were superb. That (and the beautiful company) made for a perfect evening. Recommend highly.
Service slow and too loud to talk with client
We love Palomino's! It has great food, atmosphere and our kids love this place.
Ate dinner here before going to a graduation celebration, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The only shortfall, the menu has become too limited, they used to offer more variety, and unfortunately many offerings that used to come with an entree now need to be ordered separately ala carte. The food was good, just small in portion size, a bit overpriced and again selections limited. We would encourage Palamino to revisit their "GLORY DAYS" and bring back more variety, better pricing, if they hope to stay in the game especially competing for customers in downtown Bellevue, where so many other restaurants of equal or higher caliber are offering more for less.
Celebrating a friends birthday! Easy to get to, food selection for all and prices reasonable.
Service was great, the environment is quite nice. The food itself was a bit disappointing, as was the dessert menu. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol or coffee, it limited options available. I imagine the pizza is a lot better than the specific pasta dish I got. I imagine others will enjoy it a lot more.
The seafood salad was great. It would be difficult to eat vegan, gluten free here.
Great evening spent with family. Been here many times and rarely disappoints. Service was solid and food was good. Love the chop chop salad!
We had an excellent waitperson who was attentive but not intrusive, friendly but not overbearing; knowledgeable. This is one thing that we think Palomino does well: hires and trains the best wait staff. The find today was good but not great - it was just lunch. Attractive atmosphere in a good location right across from Bellevue Square. We will be going back again for dinner some time.
As a downtown resident I often skip over Palomino because of the poor service I typically receive there, and my last experience was no exception. If you aren’t prepared to have decent service outside, don’t bother. While the server was genuinely kind, it took 15 minutes to be approached, and another 15 minutes for my first beverage other than water. The whole lunch experience was nearly 90 mins and both my dining partner and I had to get much of our food to go so we could get back to work. That said, the new pizzas are great and the chop salad is a solid “go to”, but the service really needs work. Still.
Poor service, Luke warm food, salad with little or no dressing which took10 mins.to correct. No, after many years of eating here we are through with Palomino!
I know it’s Mother’s Day, so the restaurant was busy. It we were seated by the kitchen, so it smelled of eggs the entire time. It took a long time to receive our order. One person ordered the steak and eggs, and it was a ridiculously small portion, especially for $19. Once it came out, I was embarrassed bc I chose the restaurant to go to for Mother’s Day. Another person ordered an omelet, and the eggs were so over cooked. Luckily, I ordered something from the regular menu, soup and salad, and it was only okay. It’s sad that for a special occasion, a time when there’s more of an excuse to go out for a meal to celebrate, the restaurant experience goes down bc of it being busy.
We were there on Wednesday. They have half price bottles of wine which are a great deal. Food was good, but we did not have a very attentive server. The table next to us was getting good service so we just had bad luck.
Friendly service and a really nice menu to choose from. The atmosphere is relaxed and service is efficient.
The staff was extremely friendly, and it has great happy hour prices on food and drink!
Miss the bread pudding.. they should bring that back!!!
The food was very good, priced reasonably and service was very good.
The food was wonderful as it has been every time I've dined at Palomino. In addition to that, our servers were fantastic. Very attentive without being too attentive, and handled a rather complicated bill split at the end on their own with a smile.
We returned to the Bellevue location because the bar service was great. Unfortunately, the family dining was bad. The appetizers arrived after the entree. They also forgot the other orders.
