Palomino - Indianapolis
Service started out slow, but after we finally got a waiter, we were treated very attentively and it was overall a great experience. The scallops were amazing, and my favorite is still the tomato spread/bread appetizer that they bring to the table. Always so fresh and delicious!
This place was ok... I was expecting higher quality food and it turned out to be just ok.
There were several interesting options on the menu for both of us, my wife chose the grilled salmon and I had the paella; both were outstanding and we both left completely satisfied and glad we had chosen Palomino!
Love this spot. It was a slow night so we decided to sit at the bar. Excellent food, service was top notch, bartender was great.
WE went for lunch as we have when visiting Indy for the last several years. I t just wasn't the same with the food average and service average. It was not busy either. Looking over their menu I felt over priced for a lunch including their specials.
We visited Palomino for Devour Downtown. All four of us experienced an excellent dining experience.
Awesome!! Will definately be back. Used the Devour menu, and was very pleased!!
Excellent experience, will return again
Server John was very good
They took good care of us during the polar vortex!
Best Devour Downtown experience I've had! Highly recommend!
The food was great. The table right behind us had approximately 6 teenager girls that were so loud and rowdy I could barely carry on a conversation with my family. I was approached by the manager with an offer to move only after I complained. I felt they were the troublemakers and they should have been made to move. An expensive meal that could have been so much more enjoyable.
Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. They were out of most of the "Devour" options, which is what we came for. Service was very slow. Food was mediocre. The restaurant has definitely "slipped" and I won't be going back or recommending it to anyone.
This is/was one of my favorite restaurant in downtown Indy. But Saturday my food was on the cold side. It still had a good flavor, but it must have sat on the pickup table to long. I did point that out to my waitress.
Another remarkable dining experience! I could eat here every single day and never tire of their excellent food options and impeccable service and attention to detail!
Very pleasant and central location and setting for a wonderful evening. Quality food and service. House wine was surprisingly good. Palomino's is great for a dependably wonderful evening diner.
Very much enjoyed. Steak was prepared perfectly. more mushrooms would have been nice. The long Island and pear martini are both lovely. They brought out tiramisu for my birthday also.. and it was AWESOME.
I've been here many times but have never had the shrimp scampi. I finally ordered it and am so glad that I did...it was delicious!! This was not the traditional shrimp scampi that I've tasted in the past; it was extremely flavorful with just enough kick to it. The garlic bread soaked in the spices was amazing and the capellini was very light and added just the right balance to the dish.
We went in with big appetites but only could eat a little. Everything was amazing! We had the mushroom soup, Sicilian meatballs, and the donuts. The wine special was spectacular as well! Never, ever unhappy when we visit!
The scallops were incredible! Brussels Sprouts appetizer melts in the mouth. Service was outstanding!
The location has not been kept up well and the quality of the food has diminished. I use to dine here 1-2 times per month. I decided to give them another try but went away underwhelmed.
Our server was outstanding!!!!!
The scallops were amazing!!! So was the warm spinach salad. Great service. My husband and I went here for a date and just found it a bit noisy. Maybe we would request a seat in the bar on future dates.
We were a larger group and had a reservation for 5:45pm. Server was helpful. We mentioned we had another engagement at 7pm. Restaurant wasn’t overly crowded but our food came at 7:15! Not the server’s fault.
Great food and amazing service. Was alittle expensive but but well worth the money.
Steak was good cut , but cold. Not warm, cold. When we were waiting for table, 20 entrees were sitting waiting to be served. Cooks were arguing with each other.
Christmas Eve prior to Midnight MAss
I was feeling sick that day, so our waitress brought me ginger ale and boxed up a bunch of our food to go for us!
Great menu, even better specials. The holiday bread pudding capped a perfect night!
Love coming to Palomino during Christmas they have the restaurant decorated so pretty. Love the reindeer! We had the buffet which was wonderful along with Bloody Mary bar! All good to head to Colts game💙
For several years our family has come downtown to see the Christmas lights and we always have dinner at Palomino. A very classy ambiance with beautiful Christmas decorations inside. The food is always top notch while not breaking the bank. Our server Sara was extremely engaging and took very good care of us. Rare to find such a nice place with such good service these days. Always a joy and a happy family memory when we go there.
Good food and great service, what more can you ask for.
Annual Christmas lunch date of 6 retired elementary principals that goes back nearly 15 years!! Always at Palomino’s at 12:00!! Wonderful tradition!!!
Palomino has always been a downtown favorite for us. I was very surprised it was not busier for lunch during the holiday season.
Food was outstanding; however the service was really slow and the restaurant was not even close to being full.
Overall a great dining experience.
We wanted a nice, quiet place to go after watching a performance at Hilbert Circle theater at a moderate price. We tried Palomino and were pleasantly surprised how it felt like a special place. Our food was wonderful too and they said no problem when I asked to switch the mahi mahi for chicken in a dish. Even when a lot of Colts fans came in and it became full, the noise level was still fine. Will go back many times!
Waited over an hour for our food. Waiter was very inexperienced. Probably won't come back.
Reserving on OpenTable was a breeze, as it always is. The dining room itself is impressive. Clean, well spaced, not bright, not dim. Though the place was fairly busy, i could faintly hear a live guitarist performing in the bar from the far side of the dining room.
Our waiter was phenomenal. Very well educated on the menu and drinks available. A few suggestions were provided in great detail, two of which my date and i ordered. We were not disappointed. The entrees were attractive and prepared perfectly to order.
It was a very enjoyable experience.
The next day, my girlfriend commented about going to Palominos again. I mentioned there were several fine establishments in the area i would like to visit. In brief, is was told we would be returning to Palominos and soon!
We always dine at Palomino prior to our family outing to the ISO Yuletide Celebration. The menu has great variety from haute seafood cuisine to steaks to pasta to burgers and pizza. The service is consistently great; the venue has a contemporary ambience and the food is always excellent. This visit, we took advantage of the seasonal menu. The stuffed sole was out of this world! The salmon Oscar, delicious and perfectly grilled. The cocktail menu is intriguing. The pear-ginger martini was especially flavorful. In sum, our latest visit to Palomino was another great experience. It never disappoints.
