Large party. Great service!
Except for the noise level, the six of us considered this the best of the restaurants in San Antonio. The special September Chile Nogada was fabulous. Accompanied by margaritas abc followed by flan was perfection.
We took our family visiting from NewMexico to Paloma Blanca because they have the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The wait staff is incredible, always! Highly recommend the guacamole made table side. Never had a bad meal here. They actually make it hard to choose so get two things to split with someone else.
Service was outstanding. Food was okay it was cold when I received my plate. A bit disappointed expected more from a mid to high end Mexican restaurant.
Great place for a date
The food was SPECTACULAR and the service was exceptional!
Miguel provided somewhat tentative, but, ultimately, fine service and the food, as usual, was hot and delicious. I was entertaining a niece from out of the state, and she was properly impressed by the ambiance and food.
One of our standby places. Always great for traditional Mexican food with a flair.
I am diabetic and eat no sugar so Mexican restaurants are hard for me with everything wrapped in a tortilla. White flour, rice, corn, pasta....are all sugar. They have a paleo menu which takes that out, so it was quite exciting to be able to order something easily with no substitutions. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if they had whole wheat tortillas which I can eat.
our local favorite for Mexican food 😊
I love this place! Very nice ambiance, great food and tasty Margaritas.
Amazing food and atomosphere. Server was very kind and answered all of our questions. Loved it! Definitely will come back.
Pleasant and tasty.
Safe for food allergy guests.
Awesome! Great ambience and fabulous food with a bonus flamenco guitarist on the weekend. We loved celebrating our birthdays there this weekend! Can’t wait to go back!
We have enjoyed lunch at Paloma Blanca on every visit to San Antonio over the last several years. This time, we opted to join for dinner on Sunday evening instead. Our server was phenomenal; however, the rest of the restaurant was clearly gearing down to close. They were moving chairs and tables, cleaning around us, and workers were marking tiles with blue painter’s tape. Our server apologized more than once for the noise, and she verbally “shushed” workers in our dining room. As for food and drink, sangria was delicious, and guacamole and salsas were flavorful. The chile relleno with shrimp was phenomenal—worth the trip!—but the enchiladas verdes, which we have loved on previous visits, were lackluster: tomatillo sauce was bland and shredded chicken honestly seemed canned.... Won’t keep us from returning because we love the restaurant and believe this was an isolated experience.
Awful food. Dry and barely edible. Service was shocking..sat with plates on the table for ages. Shocking experience.
They were accommodating in spite of being slightly late for our reservation. The staff was efficient, courteous, clear on what the specials for the day are. Food was served hot, promptly, and refills were covered all the time. Kudos to our waitress.... curse on me, I forgot her name.
We had a wonderful dinner. From drinks (margaritas) to appetizers (table side mad guacamole) to entrees... everything was delicious. The service was great, we enjoyed it all.
The service was terrible 👎🏻
Love this place! Always great service and the food is delicious.
We eat there often, especially when temperature is mild. Outdoor seatibg is great! Our top outside upscale Mex restaurant with many seafood choices, outstanding ceviche, and you have to try the 09 Margarita if you like Patron.
Server was attentive but not intrusive and provided helpful menu suggestions. We chose 3 different entrees and all were delicious. Pleasant, casual atmosphere. The room was busy but it was not noisy and we were not rushed. Overall, a very nice dining experience.
Food was what we have come to expect and appreciate; service was off a little. Server seemed to be new and quite unsure of himself - not familiar with wine by the glass offerings.
Raul was awesome
Service quite bad--waited forever to get water, probably about 30 minutes, and this is after asking several times. The kitchen was extremely slow and it wasn't that busy. The food is only okay for top prices. It's not better than a random hole in the wall Mexican place that is half the price. The competition for good Mexican food is fierce in this town and this place simply isn't worth the price tag, especially since the service was terrible. The space is pretty, I will give them that. Would not come back.
Father’s Day brunch
Good food and drinks for a birthday dinner. Main course took a little longer than usual but appetizers came out quickly.
I love this place very much and I have been back already 5 times and will continue to come back.
Definitely recommend this place. Food is great, the staff is great and friendly. We had a reservation for seven and they still sat us with an incomplete party which normally any other place they probably would forfeit our reservation. This place also has complimentary valet parking which again is totally awesome! Especially, since parking is limited. Great place overall!
Too loud and unpleasant. Too crowded and not enough staff, poor service. Food was mediocre and the guacamole in particular was horrible. I used to love this restaurant. I will not go back.
It was out of the ordinary that our service was less than expected, but we asked to move outside after being sat in an inside section because of noise. We were with my 70+ year old parents, so noise control is key.
Once we moved outside and ordered drinks and apps, the drinks came with no app. When my father ordered another beer it never came. Our food came shortly after that, but we never received our apps/additional drinks before our main meal.
Our server compensated by bringing us a monkey bowl of quest, which was appreciated.
We are frequent customers to PB (so much so that my husband’s family hosted our rehearsal dinner there 12 years ago), so we were surprised at the numerous oversights.
I would like to assume it was because of our change or seating.
We had a wonderful time with the atmosphere nonetheless and trust the next visit to PB will be as we normally expect.
The inside tables were very loud but they accommodated her request despite being a large party to move outside where it was quieter. The food was amazing the service was wonderful. Several people mentioned that the fajita steak was the best they had ever had. We are from the north so take that with a grain of salt.
Birthday Celebration and Ana was attentive and extremely pleasent. We will be going back again I'm sure!
Although it was not busy the service was way below what is expected of any restaurant. The food is average and was better in past but something change.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable and courteous. Table side guacamole was excellent!
There can be a long wait, but if you make a reservation, you are generally seated on time. The restaurant is very loud. Decide on a designated driver or take a Lyft - the margaritas are too good to pass up.
Elegant, delicious, cozy. Food was fantastic, atmosphere was energetic. Service was perfect.
Service was the best even though our waitress had a large table, she was attentive and stoped to visit with our granddaughter. We will be back soon!!
Had some issue with seating outside. But overall it was good.
Great outdoor patio seating, and outstanding service made for a great business dinner!
