Good as always. Paloma has gotten busier. Dining area beyond and to right of the bar seems gather all voices and sound level is higher in there.
I had not been back to this restaurant in over ten years. This was my guests first visit. The selection from the menu was outstanding. Table side guacamole was a nice touch and it was made to our specifications and delicious.
Our entrees were served promptly and hot. The food was excellent. I had the mole enchiladas and they were very good.
Overall it was a very nice experience and great food. Definitely coming back and not waiting as long as last time!
We were visiting from Houston, it was our anniversary and we met all of our children there for brunch. My husband and I have eaten there several times before and we love it. It was an enjoyable brunch. The food, bloody Mary’s, and margaritas were great.
In my opinion, Paloma Blanca is overrated. Although the food is very good, it is crowded, noisy, and the service we received was marginal. It's also not cheap; with their prices, I would expect more attentive service and a better atmosphere. It feels like more of a place to see and be seen than to enjoy good Mexican food in a nice setting.
My first time here and the food was excellent. Service was very good. They need more adequate lighting as it was so dark it was difficult reading the menu.
Biirthday- waiter brought a lighted candle on piece of cake
Always great service and food! Love that they take reservations because the wait when they’re busy can get too long without them.
My biggest complaint is that the chips are not made fresh and are clearly packaged. I think dining at a great Mexican place, the headliners and the best way to determine quality and authentic Mexican is the quality of the chips and salsa. The salsa is good, not great. I have to say I was not really impressed by their fajitas and they were pretty bland. Margaritas are premade, not made to order, another big complaint. The ambiance is nice, great patio, service is decent (they really push the drink menu). Not somewhere I would race to go back to anytime soon.
Valentines Day Special Meal for Out of Town Couple. I’ve been doing Business Lunch there for years and had to get Butter Cup there for a Special Night.
Paloma Blanca restaurant did not meet expectations. The advertisements are much exaggerated.. We were expecting a true more coastal and interior Mexico menu.. not so much Tex-Mex like hundreds other Mexican restaurants in San Antonio. Suggest you look at Javier's menu in Dallas.
Food and service far exceeded expectations for everyone at our table. Highly recommended.
Our server was a bit distracted, but the food and the ambience, made for a great experience! I would return!
Great food and service! Even though we missed restaurant week, our server was able to get the chef to make that special for us (pablano pepper based).
15 is a difficult group to handle but they did! Warning though. This is a popular place so don’t expect to give a talk to a large group here...too noisy. Knew this before we went so wasn’t an issue for my group.
waiter was able to fill my order; not on the menu
We were pleased with the service, but room was very loud
Brunch is fantastic. This was my second trip in three weeks and both times were great. Our server Ruth was attentive, but gave us space. The manager Oscar was paying attention and stopped by to make sure everything went well. When you first pull up, you do not expect much, but then you see the big outdoor patio and you do not realize you are in the shopping center. The pitcher of margarita was a little overpriced compared to the rest of the meal, but we really enjoyed it. Save a little from for the flan. It's worth it. A big thumbs up from someone who is fairly picky.
Was great food and service as always!
The food is usually pretty good, but on this occasion I ordered a "Carne Tampiqueña" which is a lean, relatively thin filet of beef. I got a thick, greasy piece full of grizzle. When I spoke to the manager about it, he tried to convince me that what I got was a "Tampiqueña". I am Mexican, I know what a "Tampiqueña" is and if the restaurant is serving what I received as "Tampiqueña" they are misrepresenting the dish to their clientele. He took my plate back to clean it a bit to get rid of the grizzle, but I still could not eat it. I was offered to send it back and order something else, but by then I was not hungry anymore. I was charged the full $22.00 for it, I complained to the same manager and he deducted $10.00, so I paid $12.00 for something I did not eat.
Outstanding, quality Mexican food and great service!!
We have been going to this restaurant for the past 9 years. We were there to celebrate our anniversary. As we do every single year since 2009. The food is great but it's sad to say that each server that we have gotten every year that we return is less-than-stellar. That was the only disappointment but other than that the food is great
We came in from out of state during Winter Restaurant Week for a medical conference on the Riverwalk. However when looking at participating restaurants and star ratings on Yelp we found Paloma Blanca had a great rating, solid compliments and the menu looked amazing. We used Uber to get over - the ride was worth it!! Their ceviche is definitely the best I’ve EVER had! My friend having never tried it, being skiddish of “fish items” she doesn’t know LOVED it. The homemade guacamole was AHHMAZING! We chose to have their “The Works” fajitas by the pound for our table - so much food we couldn’t finish it between the 3 of us. However that didn’t stop us from trying the Tres Leche cake - OMG!! We almost licked the plate!! This place is a great local place to definitely put on your list for ambience, food, and local flair. Everyone was polite and attentive! I want to go back!
Very tasty Mexican interior cuisine. Four different chili rellanos on the regular menu plus one on the special menu. Tex-Mex places seldom offer this dish. Waiter was very friendly and attentive.
We had shrimp tacos, beef fajita. They both are good. Beef was especially tender. Charro bean soup was satisfying good. Our waiter was also attentive. I saw the men at the next table were having tortilla soup, I will definitely order the soup next time when we visit San Antonio again.
Always good food and service and good gathering place for small groups
Our server was awesome. He was very attentive and ready at a moment’s notice. His name escapes me at the moment but I did know it while there. My brain.... the food was wonderful and the portions were more than adequate. Paloma Blanca is one of our favorite San Antonio restaurants and we will be back.
This was one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to in San Antonio, the services and food was excellent one of the best. I made a reservation online and the staff accommodated my request. One of the perfect nights for my special occasion.
Lively ambience, consistently excellent food, great service.
Great server who managed to make everyone feel welcome on a very busy Friday night. Everyone enjoyed their food and appreciate the ability to reserve a table.
Nice atmosphere, excellent service. Food is not traditional Tex-Mex, but enjoyable. Nice place to relax and have a margarita, too. However, I generally don't go by myself as they tend to seat me in a corner or facing a kitchen door. No problem with groups.
Quick on-time seating (had reservation) with attentive, but not intrusive, service. Great variety on menu and high quality food. Had a well-behaved 4-month-old with us, and seating was perfect for our situation and those around us, designed to minimize outgoing noise from our table and to minimize incoming noise as well. A friendly place with very pleasant and cheerful staff.
Chicken Fajitas are dry and not very good. Too many large parties affect overall service.
Best authentic Mexican food in San Antonio. Very crowded but service was excellent. Fish tacos have just enough kick. We had 7 at our table and everyone enjoyed their meal. A little off beaten path but recommend you go have a margarita and enjoy
Had a nice round table for 8 people which made it easy for conversations. Everyone in our party but one ordered fajitas. We only received 2 containers of tortillas which was not enough for everyone. Took a long time for our server to come by and we asked for more. By the time we got more, our food was cold. Our server still did not give us enough and we had to ask for more again. Our daughter ordered vegetarian fajitas, but part way through eating them she found a couple pieces of chicken in it. One person in our party could not have corn. Our server told them the tortillas were flour, but theirs appeared to have corn in them. They were completely different from the other, actual flour, tortillas we received. Had to wait a long time for refills. Our special occasion was never acknowledged. We brought our own cake, paper plates and napkins and were told there was a per person charge for that. REALLY!? We cut it ourselves and served it ourselves. The restaurant never gave us any special attention for this extra charge. Our party spent a fair amount on food, drinks and cocktails and don't feel like we received very good service overall.
The food was great as always, the margaritas were awesome too! We love eating here but don't live in San Antonio so we come on special occasions.
Our server was outstandingly great, very friendly, and helpful.
Great food, very busy night
It turned out to be a great place for 7 of us to get together for brunch!!! Food was great and the service was excellent. A big plus was that they had a bar and we could order mimosas, champagne and bloody marys!! We will be back for our next get together!
New server, Jacob. Tried VERY hard...But took 30min each time we ordered drinks
We were seated promptly, service was excellent, and the food was delicious. What more can a guy want?
Great food and friendly service. Had our reservation waiting for us in a great spot
