    I have been patronizing Palisades for over 10 years. From group meetings to special occasions, Palisades was a wonderful experience. On this occasion from beginning to end we had an unpleasant experience. First the host made us wait for other people in our party before seating us. We could have of had a drink and appetizer before our family arrived. Then we got the server from hell. She seemed at first nice but then she became rude and kept us their making us ask when our food was going arrive at every course. A two hour birthday turned into over three hours. Agh! Then at the end we complained and she comped a salad and the group tip. We needed the meal to be divided by family. Every restaurant including Palisades in the past did this for us. She said she couldn’t do it but had us categorize it. She redid it but didn’t comp the group tip. I called her on it and she lied about it to her manager. This was the last draw and I lost it and proclaimed to the restaurant that this was the worst birthday I’d ever had there. I never lose my cool but when someone is so bad and your expecting reasonable service from a very expensive restaurant I lost it.

    The setting was beautiful. The food was not worth the cost especially the seafood tower. The service was hospitable but not well enough informed of the menu and special changes for the evening. Came for the king crab and there was enough for our seafood tower but not enough for a dinner portion. We were told there would be a pound of king crab with our tower and there definitely was not even close to that. Not even enough to share with one person. We were then told the “king” crab dinner would serve Dungeness King Crab (there’s no such thing.) It took our server 15-20 minutes between each table visit and he forget what we had requested several times. We did not get our menus or water for several minutes after being sat. He came to take our order before we had our menus. The busser came and cleared our table after we had our appetizers and took everything including our silverware. We had to wait several minutes before getting any back. Our seafood tower did not come with serving spoons for our sauces or seafood forks for our food. We ended up being there for three hours with how long our service and food took. The entrees were poorly prepared and unseasoned. It was obvious the cooks were having a tough evening but nothing was comped for our troubles and our dinner after tip was over $300. We will not be returning.

    We had a great time at Palisades! The view of the harbor is fabulous! Watching the Seattle lights and seeing Mt Rainier was so beautiful! My cousin enjoyed his Waygu Ribeye! And the Peach Bourbon on the perfectly cooked scallops tasted like fresh peaches!

    Most everything was great but quality of king crab legs was terrible. Definitely not worth $130 Everyone’s else’s food was fine Ambiance and service was great

    Waiter courteous and helpful. Prices have increased. King crab particularly pricey. Recommend having steak options not 16 oz. Enjoyed our meal.

    We had an enjoyable dinner for six. We started with a calamari appetizer that was delicious and more than enough for all 6 people. We had the chowder which was terrific. The star of the show was the tuna. The waiter asked how it was and I told him on a scale of 1 to 10, it was a 12. We would go back in a second to try more. I highly recommend.     We came for some happy hour and to let that time bleed into enjoying the piano-singer combo that starts at 6 on weeknights. I chose to stay in the bar area but want to give a shoutout to Lauren, the hostess with the mostess, as she knew that when I came in, I may choose to move down to the main dining room for dinner. She was meticulous in making sure from start to finish that even though they were busy, that because I pre-booked and wanted to do dinner, she pointed out some tables available, if I wanted to move. Lauren is always so professional and puts in her all to delight guests as they come to dine at Palisade. I was really enjoying the ambience of the bar with Chris and Kai bantering with me through the evening. I LOVE that there is live music, which is so hard to come by these days, all with spectacular views and wonderful food. The happy hour menu covers everything you could want in a small bite, from fresh raw tuna creations, to heftier bites like the French Dip sliders and everything in between. Ultimately, choosing to have dinner in the bar is never a bad decision, all of Palisade works so hard to exceed expectations.
