Food was only medium warm and not much of it for the price.
What a lovely place, great food and exemplary service. great for special and any occasion. With the stellar views, best for lunch or early evening. The night lights are beautiful, too.
Server was very attentive and polite and food was excellent - just hope things get better so next year they can have a Thanksgiving buffet again!!
What a families thanksgiving! Food was delicious! Great service and such a nice way to do something different!
Great food, service and the view from the restaurant is amazing. Definitely look forward to a return visit.
I didn’t see the bill but I hope there was no livable wage slipped in as you do at Maggie’s without telling the patron before the meal.
I didn’t order the turkey dinner but it looked less than appetizing for one of the guests at my table. My scallops were very good.
Our hostess tried to push expensive food choices to our elderly relative (like "would you like to make your steak surf & turf with a lobster tail?" without giving us the price of those choices, which was expensive Market Price. Our relative was confused, while we tried to not insult them or break the bank with this meal. The same for the size of the steak, they did not ask which size we wanted, they used the most expensive as the default. The timing of serving was not so good, we asked for our drinks to arrive with the entrees but they arrived earlier and were getting warm while waiting for our entrees Anyway they seemed to be trying and it was a busy Thanksgiving day... The food and ambience of the restaurant were outstanding. But why did we have to pay the 5% "Living Wage" surcharge, they should be paying their staff the established minimum living wage, it's the least they can do for their staff...
We ordered the turkey dinner.
Portions were small, food temperature Luke warm, vegetable switched to green beans instead of asparagus.
If we dine here again would stick with seafood.
Manager was helpful in provided desert and another meal to take home.
Our annual tradition of Thanksgiving at Palisades did not disappoint! Wonderful food, service, and festivities.
Very good but table not enough light table I use iphone flash menu 5:45 pm you needs special light for table not candle light
Food was great. Service was good. My only negative comment; it was so dark inside the restaurant we had to use our cell phones to read the menu. The hostess recognized the issue immediately. She said she would ask the manager to raise the lighting. We asked three more times, but no change. We saw other guests doing the same thing with their phones. The server couldn’t see that my sons beverage was lemonade and attempted to refill his glass with water. The music volume made it hard to hear the sever and considering 50% of the guests appeared over the age of 50. I thought it would have made sense to management to adjust the lighting and sound slightly. I’m sure the intent was for us to enjoy the city view at night but we were distracted by having to prop up a phone to see the food presentation once it arrived. My hope is that someone will see this note and make an adjustment. We would love to come back again. Thank you.
Celebrated my husband’s birthday there. We loved sitting in Lisa’s section. After almost two years with very few dining experiences, Lisa was a real treasure. She is one of the most professional servers we have ever met, and we had an outstanding meal. We also have a young child so we were not the easiest in terms of requests so bravo to the entire staff for making it a memorable evening. Great views. Safe distances between tables. We will be back!
44th Anniversary..Our waitress etc.was very nice - everyone was actually. The prime rib though was served at a rather “cool” temperature, but good taste nonetheless. We enjoyed our evening. We were treated with a delicious coffee cream pie!
Mostly everything was good, just the chicken was a more dry than expected and it was hard to see the menu because it was so dim
Highly recommend this for an event or a celebration. Needs advance reservation but once you are in the staff is very nice and service is fantastic. Food was the best we tasted.
Excellent atmosphere with a great view and delightful food.
Don’t order stuffed prawns! Horrible! But scallops, salads and dessert yummy. Fabulous setting. But take a flashlight. Can’t see menu or food.
It was very dark in the restaurant.
Palisade is always reliable for a good overall experience, the staff is attentive, the views are beautiful, it vibe is casual but celebratory.
The food is good, but not fancy. Some things stand out, like the salmon which has the perfect amount of tasty crust and tender meat, and the Kung pao calamari which is a great relief over deep fried.
The experience was great! Service was perfect. Loved having flowers and Champaign waiting for us at the table when we arrived.
I recommend the Surf and Turf option. The Caesar salad are delicious.
Everything was great except the food. Let me put it this way. If the food quality equaled the service and ambiance it would have knocked our socks off. The food was not horrible but it didn’t rise to the level of what they charge. Took my wife there for her birthday. We are not big dessert eaters but when they brought the coffee chocolate mousse on the house we couldn’t resist. A really nice touch!
Palisade is one of the most beautiful and iconic restaurants in Seattle. The staff seemed extremely present and busy, and our waiter was obviously working hard to give us a great dining experience.
We are a 70+ quartet, so perhaps our comments here reflect our ages, but here are my criticisms of an excellent restaurant.
1. The bread was completely uninteresting, as was the butter.
2. The darkness was a bit much- at El Gaucho they offer a small flashlight. Here I used my phone to read the menu.
3. The food did not come terribly fast, which we can understand, but it also came with one half of the table being served maybe as much as 10 minutes apart.
4. The very pricey lobster was a bit tough, especially considering the cost.
All that said, we loved going there. It is a stunningly beautiful place, The view is magnificent, the food is very good and the staff is working very hard to please the clientele. Don't miss it, top notch.
Table not ready when we arrived (reservation) though only 1/2 full. after seating waited 15 min to meet our wait staff, another 15+ min to bring our drinks. We had to wolf down our dinners to make our venue. Entrees had nice flavor but slow, delivered cool and dry (sitting waiting on server?). Our wait staff was very nice, kind and apologetic. Suspect this is a management and staffing issue.
Overall .. a pretty disappointing experience for our anniversary especially given the price tag. Have been here many times in the past with excellent meals and top notch service (pre CoVid). It’s lost a lot of ground unfortunately. And for goodness sake .. turn up the dimmer on the lights. Half the restaurant was using their cell phones to read the menu and pay their bill.
The food was excellent! Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable.
It was to dark. I couldn’t see my food or the menu. There was flashlights being used all over the dining room. The food and service were good.
Fun night. Service was great. Good ambience, spacious, and they followed covid protocols so all were comfortable. Seafood was good. Prawns great. Calamari great, black cod was OK (better in Japanese restaurants). Drinks great.
Facility seems old and neglected. View is stunning of course but tables, floor and lobby needs some TLC.
Hostess staff very arrogant and dismissive. Waiter was very good but good was not great. Very average.
This used to be such a special place- unfortunately it seemed lost.
The setting was amazing and our waiter was on top of everything with great service not to mention the amazing food.
Perfect evening at Palisades with our out-of-town guests! Yummy food, great service and incredible view of the city.
Awesome! beautiful restaurant and on a sunny day you can see from Mt. Rainier to the Olympics. Food was outstanding. I had the cedar plank salmon with crab, wonderful flavors. My husband had the pork chop and loved it including the pimento cheese grits. Everyone is checked for their vaccination and tables were well spaced. Service was great. We will definitely go back.
The food and staff were outstanding!
I celebrated my birthday there and it was awesome! Thank you!
We celebrate my niece's birthday, staff was very nice and pleasant.
The views are spectacular!
It was all just fine, but it was disappointing that there were so few patrons present.
Enjoyed a meal with my wife here. Great view of the city. Nice atmosphere.
Very little servings but good food and good service.
Love this place. Great food, great service. Oh and great view and setting.
The food was fantastic! I got the scallops and they were cooked perfectly.
