The food was superb and the staff attentive. It has been years since my last meal there. I will return soon!
Amazing all around!
We were all disappointed in the quality of the buffet brunch. The macadamia pancakes used to be great but it was just terrible and couldn't even eat it. So sorry to see that the food has really gone downhill from the past. Perfect location but food needs to improve ALOT!
Very nice weekend brunch buffet. A wide variety of foods to choose from - including breakfast items, salads, seafood, roast beef, pastries and desserts. Bottomless mimosas too. Good service and nice view of the marina, Elliot Bay and the city skyline.
It was our first time trying palisade. Everything was great except that we were taken to a corner table with almost no view and right at the entrance to one of their rooms having an event or a wedding. I wasn’t sure why we were taken to that table in the first place - that table no one would want, and we saw at least two other tables available (one window table, one next row from the window).
But we asked for a table with some view. It took them some time to figure out but then we got what we wanted.
Other than the food was amazing and the waiter was awesome! The night view of the city and the pier were also fascinating.
But the fact that we were brought to the table still annoyed me. I feel that we were treated unfairly even though we asked for window table and put down it was for a celebration through opentable. We could have avoided that hectics.
Excellent food, service, and view.
Another great experience at Palisade!
It was for my husband ‘s birthday dinner tonight. They wrote the birthday card and did brought out the birthday cake I requested in advance. Great time to spend the special occasion, great food, great, view, great service, awesome experience.
Wonderful service and ambiance as we always expect at Palisades! We were not disappointed.
One of the most stunning views of the city!
The food and service were fantastic. Everything about it made our special occasion more special. We'll definitely be returning.
This is an iconic scenic Seattle dining experience. The views are magnificent. The service is excellent. We had had brunch and while most was very good, the desert table was lacking in imagination and flavor.
Very nice pre fixe lunch of outstanding crab & lobster bisque and a seafood louis with salmon accompanied by a glass of delicious house red. Impeccable service and terrific view
Our original reservation was for 6:00 pm. It was moved back to 6:15 without our knowing. When we arrived at the restaurant the reservation was moved to 6:45. Unacceptable. They told us they would try to "fit us in" after having the reservation for 2 months! They were finally able to get a table for us but that certainly got us off to a bad start.
I have had great dinners at Palisades in the past, however, for Thanksgiving it was a buffet that was mediocre. And $65 per person I was expecting better. The prime rib was tough and unseasoned. It was not carved by someone who knew what they were doing either. Mine was not edible.
Our server was fabulous. The only highlight of the evening.
We always enjoy the Thanksgiving buffet not just for the food but because we leave not having to worry about dishes or cleaning up a kitchen after a long day of cooking. Regarding the food this year - the rolls were a bit overdone on the bottom (hard) and the herb stuffing did not look appealing at all, although I never tasted it. Desserts were fine but really miss having just a slice of pumpkin pie (only little pumpkin minis were offered) and the chocolate option - needs to be just chocolate - or have a just chocolate and the chocolate/orange for those that like that.
Service was fine but not terrific. Server did not come back to check to see if we needed refills on sodas and never offered coffee at the end of the meal. Possible that coffee was offered near the dessert table but didn't see it. I frankly consider all of that minor and really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back next year. Gobble Gobble.
Don’t go for the Buffett
This was our third year to enjoy Thanksgiving buffet at Palisade with extended family. All staff we encountered were so personable and friendly, despite the busyness of the restaurant. Food lines flowed smoothly; never seemed to run out of any items. Really appreciated the seafood items added to the traditional Thanksgiving menu; never dreamed of being able to indulge in Dungeness crab legs with our turkey!
Ambience is the best in Seattle. Loved seeing the marina while dining, as well as the lights of Seattle at dusk.
Our food was overdone. Salmon was dry. Steak was not medium as ordered. Waiter never bothered to ask how it was, even when half the salmon went back to the dumpster instead of to be boxed. Prior experiences have been good and it is a wonderful setting, so we'll probably come back again, but if the food is like this again, we'll be done.
Great location, awesome atmosphere. Food is good. Preparation and service is well received. Quiet tables where food conversation can happen. My salad was overdressed and I asked for lightly, but other than that we enjoyed the meal. We will come back. :)
A venerable Seattle icon did not meet expectations this time around. My seafood trio was overcooked and the mashed potatos were bland at best. I expected better and wish I had taken my out of town guests elsewhere.
always delicious and great service, it was a quiet evening the relax
I went to Palisade with my Wife to celebrate the news of our first baby. I've heard great things about Palisades and I've lived in Magnolia for 3 years now so I always thought about going..but I was sure disappointed. We arrived on time for our reservation at 6pm and still had to wait about 10Min to be seated. They put us right next to the window, which was great, but crammed between 3 or more other full tables, when there were plenty of other open tables next to the window. Then our server came and was very nice and the food came out surprisingly fast, but my Wife's crab legs were cold..like out of the fridge cold. We sent them back and our server said they would make another batch for us, instead of heating them up. It took them the entirety of me eating rest of my meal to re-prepare them and we hardly got an apology, nor did they cover the portion of the meal. Needless to say, we got the check and rushed out. We were both shocked at how poor the food and service was. I would never recommend Palisade to a friend or a foe.
I like Palisades every time I come. Great service, complementary valet parking and ambiance are hard to beat. Food selection is good too. This time I tried Chinese style calimari. I did not like it much. It tasted OK but I felt like eating some cheap generic Chinese fried food than eating Palisades gourmet. Hence 4 stars for food this time. That being said, Palisades is still in my short list of go-to restaurant.
Wonderful. An experience. Don’t miss out and treat yourself to a true gem.
Wonderful and exceeded all expectations!
When ever I am in Seattle I always enjoy going to Palisades Restaurant. The food is always good, parking is easy and the view is spectacular!
I made a reservation for 4 on the last day of Seattle Restaurant Week. Last minute, I called to delay the reservation since my party was arriving late. The hostess was also able to add in an extra seat. Very good service.
Good food, generous portions, and friendly and efficient staff. Liked the wine flight paired with restaurant week special.
Palisades is just not what it used to be. Great view with mediocre food.
Connor was our waitperson. Friendly, professional.
It was SRW, food good, not great.
Setting very good, views spectacular.
Manager very professional.
Fabulous ambiance. Excellent service as always.
A beautiful restaurant with an amazing view of the marina and Seattle skyline. A group of friends went for restaurant week. The steak was fork tender and you must try the salmon dip! The waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable of wines and paired the wine perfectly to each course. If you are visiting Seattle and only have time to visit one restaurant, this is the one! It perfectly represents Northwest cuisine without costing a fortune.
Nice view but restaurant getting long inn the tooth
Relaxed and warm sunset dining experience with competent waitstaff and very well-prepared food.
Dimly-lit space. Carpet everywhere. Older building. Not a scene for younger generations who go out to see and be seen - you can't see anything, including the date across the table from you. The vibe is like a giant retirement home.
Great deal for weekday lunch! A three course meal for a very reasonable price, with a breathtaking view. Much more casual for lunch than the typical palisade experience but still amazing food. An affordable experience if the typical menu is over your price range.
we were there to celebrate a 70 birthday. our waiter Robert was fabulous! sweet note on the table with rose pedals. the caesar salad was excellent. The cioppino was excellent, but the filet in the surf and turf was not that great. Great ambiance, great location!
The food and service were fantastic for a restaurant week experience. Well worth every penny. Their decor could use an update as everything from the bar, to the restrooms to the main dining area felt out-of/date and just plain old. The pond that is central to the restaurant and the views of downtown Seattle are pretty amazing. Would really like to see a better selection of more reasonably priced wines...it was slim pickings for anything under $60 a bottle.
A fantastic dining experience from start to finish. We went on Halloween for Seattle Restaurant Week (plus we celebrated an anniversary milestone), and it could not have been more perfect. A three-course meal consisting of salad and salmon spread with fresh bread, surf and turf for me and salmon and veggies for my husband, and cheesecake and a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Plus, some delightful handcrafted cocktails to round out a great meal. You can't beat the views of the sound and downtown Seattle, plus the player piano above the reception/bar area added to the delightful ambience. The regular menu is definitely in the high end of the price range, but don't let that deter you from experiencing Palisade!
