The no refers to the brunch menu, not necessarily the day-to-day fare. The carving station consisted of roast beef (the good) and ham (the bad). The ham was dry and quite insipid. I was disappointed that the leg of lamb was not available as had been advertised. The best hot food were the sausages and bacon. The potatoes were dry and not flavorful at all, ie, bland. The corn was killed by the sauce. The seafood paella, lobster mac and creole chicken were dull schlock. The tomato/goat cheese tart was also not available. This was the 4th year I have gone to Easter brunch. The first, in 2016, rated an A+; the three since could do no better than a C. Right now, it is still far in the future, but I would have to look elsewhere for Easter brunch.
I thought the overall experience was terrific will be recommending to all my friends.
Our waiter Eric was excellent he was very attentive and his personality was great!!
My sweetheart and I had a wonderful romantic evening at Pairings. Our server Anthony was superb. He recommended a great wine to go with our salad and entrees. The atmosphere was lovely and quiet. The food was excellent. Thank you Pairings for a FANTASTIC dining experience.
The food, service, and ambiance were all fantastic. Even the presentation of the food was amazing. We all did the 5 course with wine pairing and it was great from start to finish. We will definitely be back.
Katrina brought joy and warmth to the dining experience. The scallops were delightful. The wine pairings were superb. A unique meal, and a good value. This was my second visit, in as many nights.
Katrina was a joy. Wine was excellent. Food was exquisite. Great value. Always visit, when in the area.
Recommend a sweater or jacket for the barrel room as the A/C is pretty effective! The hard wall surfaces an arched wood ceiling cause it to be quite loud when crowded.
Anthony was a fantastic server! Pairings never disappoints!!🍷🍴
My wife and I were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary, and wanted to go to a nice restaurant for a relaxing dinner. The food was very good, it was well spaced out so that we were not rushed, but also didn't feel as though we had to wait. We sat in the dining room near the bar. It was a nice atmosphere, with the exception of a gentleman at the other end of the room who was there to self promote himself during a business meeting and discuss his college as well as everything else wonderful about him under the sun. Several couples sat next to his table at one point, but asked to be moved, which they quickly did. Overall, it was still a nice experience, but what made it such a nice experience was because of our server, Michelle. UNBELIEVABLE!! This woman is hands down one of the best in Harford County at her job. Very pleasant and informed of the menu, could speak quickly and thoroughly to all items on the menu as well as all of the different wines and beers that we had asked about. She was incredible. If you eat at Pairings, I sincerely hope you have the pleasure of Michelle as your server.
We really enjoy Pairings; always a great wine selections and consistently tasty food. This was my first visit for lunch and was surprised to see a 2 for deal - makes for an easy choice when stuck between two items; however, the chicken salad sandwich was light on the chicken and very heavy on the mayo. Albeit tasty, it should have had some meat to it. The salad too was very skimpy but again, flavorful.
Pairings is always our favorite place to go when we need a night out -- especially date night. I sat at the bar with my husband and we enjoyed drinks and snacks. The Fried Brussels Sprouts were incredible. I love how when they change their seasonal menu they creatively find new ways to serve the Brussels sprouts. The crème fraiche that accompanied them on this visit was amazing. We also really enjoyed the shrimp scampi flatbread and the Basque mussels (the fries are a must). The Wedding Crasher cocktail was our favorite, but we didn't like the Springsicle. It sounded good in its menu description but it just wasn't enjoyable.
This was my second visit and it upgraded my opinion. Great food, service and ambiance. Should be one of the top spots in Bel Air.
It was a lovely celebration for my birthday...we "went for the gold" and enjoyed the 4 courses with wine parings. Everything was delicious...and the service wonderful...a very relaxing evening
Excellent menu, service and food.
The restaurant is decorated very nicely and our server was attentive, but the food was disappointing. It was my first visit, but the restaurant had been recommended to me many times over the years— maybe my expectations were too high. My chicken was bland and definitely not worth the price for unseasoned chicken served over risotto. For dessert I ordered the cheesecake— listed on the menu only as “house made cheesecake”— and received espresso cheesecake. I’m not a fan of coffee flavored items and wouldn’t have ordered it had I had known. The waiter was quick to offer a new dessert so I ordered the creme brûlée, which was mediocre. Sadly I don’t think I’ll be returning.
This was the best restaurant experience I have ever had. My date loved it as well.
Shannon was our bartender and server she did an excellent job, she is very friendly and efficient. The food is always delicious at this restaurant especially enjoy going on Tuesday nights for their mussels specials !
Excellent service and food! Wonderful date night :)
Such a great experience! Awesome food, knowledgeable servers and great atmosphere!
Your food is awesome. We got the shrimp and grits and the market fish. This is one terrific
neighborhood gem. Beautiful inside whether you sit in the dining room or the bar. Anthony
our server is up at the very top of our list of outstanding servers. When you have been seated and you
are not sure who your server is..........he comes over and takes your drink order and if he is extra busy
will always stop and tell you that he is waiting on another table but will be right back. He does everything he tells you. Very friendly and professional. We look forward to getting him again.
The Kennett Square Flatbread Pizza was full of flavor and served at the perfect temperature. Our waiter was attentive without being obtrusive. Thanks for a delicious lunch experience!
Our server (Brady) was very pleasant, attentive, and social. The four (4) course foods we selected were exceptional, and were served at the perfect time intervals.
Always enjoy dinner at Pairings! We celebrated my husbands birthday, food was great, wine pairings were amazing and as always the service is 5 star. Only complaint is that one obnoxious table was very loud, it was slightly annoying but not enough to ruin our dinner. We will continue to come back!
The meal was great. We got to sit in the front room which was the only place we hadn’t sat in, in the numerous times we had eaten there. Great atmosphere. The wine pairing with the scallops was dead on.
The poached, spiced pear initial course was outstanding for two of us and the cream of crab soup was also very very good. The golden beet salad was quite good and the Grilled Romaine Caesar salad was most unusual but not outstanding. For entrees, the grilled rockfish was more than outstanding as were the grilled lamb chops. The Pan Seared Scallops were also exceptional and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed them. For desert, the Deconstructed Parfaits were both whimsical and very good but we had to remind the server that the Twisted Hot Chocolates were to accompany them. The mystery ingrediant (Kahlua) provided a wonderful kick. Overall the dinners were worth every penny but the noise level made it a little difficult to talk upon occasion. All three of us agreed that our experience was one of the best and we all vowed to return.
Excellent location, excellent service, excellent food, excellent wine !
Everything was above average except the food, which was not bad , just not as good as anticipated.
Great as usual
I had the rye Manhattan, original and good. Good wines by the glass. Steak was good. Don't let the outside deter you the inside is nice. Wheelchair accessible parking is not good, but the facility is accessible.
Wonderful experience, friendly attentive service and our meal was exceptional! Great for a celebration, would highly recommend! We cannot recall our servers name however he was great!
We had a great experience and the food was excellent! The pairings with the food were perfect! Thank you for a great evening....
Slow service, bitter alcohol, cold food, seated under an air conditioner and very cold. The $47 food deal was good.
It was difficult to select a service rating because we had excellent service at our table but had spent a short while before dinner at the bar and the bartender left much to be desired. This hasn’t been our experience in the past when we came early just to hang out at the bar before dinner. The other night we took our drinks to our table .
This was a great night out for two parents who rarely get to have a conversation during dinner. The atmosphere was perfect! We sat on the bar side. Several reviews stated that it was too loud but we didn’t mind at all. We were still able to care a conversation and couldn’t really hear the people next to us. Our waiter was attentive, seeming to know exactly when to show up with the next course or another drink. We will definitely be back!
We had a delightful luncheon with Brady as an excellent server. Good was delicious!!
The food and service were great. However, I believe the menu needs to be refreshed. There seems to be very little change in the menu over time. Otherwise, great dining venue.
My first time at Pairings and can’t wait to go back! I have a gluten allergy and they are very accommodating!!!!!! Great ambiance.
The food was good. The wine was OUTSTANDING!!! I don’t drink wine often, but their wines are top notch. Our guest thoroughly enjoyed their cocktails as well. I drink for taste and not to get tipsy or drunk. They have one of my all-time favorite Malbec’s. I enjoyed their desert wine pairing as well with their moscato. It was a delightful evening; fun was had by all. Many first-timers said they had found a new spot. This is truly one of Harford county’s Hidden Gems!
