Our server (Brady) was very pleasant, attentive, and social. The four (4) course foods we selected were exceptional, and were served at the perfect time intervals.
Always enjoy dinner at Pairings! We celebrated my husbands birthday, food was great, wine pairings were amazing and as always the service is 5 star. Only complaint is that one obnoxious table was very loud, it was slightly annoying but not enough to ruin our dinner. We will continue to come back!
The meal was great. We got to sit in the front room which was the only place we hadn’t sat in, in the numerous times we had eaten there. Great atmosphere. The wine pairing with the scallops was dead on.
The poached, spiced pear initial course was outstanding for two of us and the cream of crab soup was also very very good. The golden beet salad was quite good and the Grilled Romaine Caesar salad was most unusual but not outstanding. For entrees, the grilled rockfish was more than outstanding as were the grilled lamb chops. The Pan Seared Scallops were also exceptional and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed them. For desert, the Deconstructed Parfaits were both whimsical and very good but we had to remind the server that the Twisted Hot Chocolates were to accompany them. The mystery ingrediant (Kahlua) provided a wonderful kick. Overall the dinners were worth every penny but the noise level made it a little difficult to talk upon occasion. All three of us agreed that our experience was one of the best and we all vowed to return.
Excellent location, excellent service, excellent food, excellent wine !
Everything was above average except the food, which was not bad , just not as good as anticipated.
Great as usual
I had the rye Manhattan, original and good. Good wines by the glass. Steak was good. Don't let the outside deter you the inside is nice. Wheelchair accessible parking is not good, but the facility is accessible.
Wonderful experience, friendly attentive service and our meal was exceptional! Great for a celebration, would highly recommend! We cannot recall our servers name however he was great!
We had a great experience and the food was excellent! The pairings with the food were perfect! Thank you for a great evening....
Slow service, bitter alcohol, cold food, seated under an air conditioner and very cold. The $47 food deal was good.
It was difficult to select a service rating because we had excellent service at our table but had spent a short while before dinner at the bar and the bartender left much to be desired. This hasn’t been our experience in the past when we came early just to hang out at the bar before dinner. The other night we took our drinks to our table .
This was a great night out for two parents who rarely get to have a conversation during dinner. The atmosphere was perfect! We sat on the bar side. Several reviews stated that it was too loud but we didn’t mind at all. We were still able to care a conversation and couldn’t really hear the people next to us. Our waiter was attentive, seeming to know exactly when to show up with the next course or another drink. We will definitely be back!
We had a delightful luncheon with Brady as an excellent server. Good was delicious!!
The food and service were great. However, I believe the menu needs to be refreshed. There seems to be very little change in the menu over time. Otherwise, great dining venue.
My first time at Pairings and can’t wait to go back! I have a gluten allergy and they are very accommodating!!!!!! Great ambiance.
The food was good. The wine was OUTSTANDING!!! I don’t drink wine often, but their wines are top notch. Our guest thoroughly enjoyed their cocktails as well. I drink for taste and not to get tipsy or drunk. They have one of my all-time favorite Malbec’s. I enjoyed their desert wine pairing as well with their moscato. It was a delightful evening; fun was had by all. Many first-timers said they had found a new spot. This is truly one of Harford county’s Hidden Gems!
The wife and I had a great time. The food was fantastic, and the service always top notch. We had the pairings with each dish and it was executed perfectly.
Our last experience was so-so due to service, but the food was excellent.
Our experience was excellent this visit. Food was consistently excellent. Service was above par. Eric was excellent. Fun, engaging but not over bearing.
Value is amazing and the crowd is matured and fun. Not crazy like a night club pretending to be a restaurant !
I recommend the wine pairing. This will take you our of your comfort zone to try something new. The food is fresh, and different than what you would get at any other restaurant in Bel Air. This is our 2nd visit, and I would highly recommend eating there if you want an excellent culinary experience!
We went to Pairings for Valentine's Day. The menu was a 5 course meal. It was phenomenal. I had a roasted beet soup to start. It was chilled which was unexpected but oh so good. Next was an endive salad. It had bacon and nuts with dollops of whipped bleu cheese. What a contrast in flavors! There was baked brie inside of puffed pastry with caramelized onion jam. Out of this world!! The main course was seared scallops in a bed of orzo pasta and a very mild sauce (maybe roasted orange pepper). The scallops were seared to perfection and went very well with the rest of the dish. Dessert was like a deconstructed cheesecake. Rectangular boats made of chocolate filled with cheesecake filling complimented with a lavender lemon curd coulee like side. Decadent! We will definitely go again!
Great food. Had the Valentine’s Day fixed menu with wine pairings. We especially liked the roasted tomato salad with burrata. Will definitely go back for a future special occasion.
Went for Valentines Day. Nice menu and atmosphere.
All five courses were unique and we'll executed. The wind pairings were also excellent.
Went for Valentine’s Day. Food was on point. Service is always great and the wine pairings delicious. We done there regularly and have never been disappointed.
It was awesome!! It was a Fixed menu for Valentine Day that was superb and the pairings to die for!!
My husband and I just love Pairings Bistro. We had the Valentine's Day prix fix menu with the wine pairings. The food was delicious and the wine just as good! Our waitress was very attentive and made sure our food and wine came out promptly. Great job all around!
We love pairings! This time around I have a newly discovered food allergy and they were even sure to accomodate. Food is always excellent and a great atmosphere for a nice date night.
This was our first visit to Pairings...Fantastic food, drinks and service!
My husband and I had a wonderful date night here, the portions were generous and delicious!
Overall a great experience! Will be going back soon.
The service and server were great. There was no rush to get us out of there. That made for a great night out with friends. The noise level was not good! It felt like we were sitting with the folks behind us because either they were speaking very loudly or there were no acoustics to buffer the noises in that dining room.
Delicious! Always a fun time. Love all the unique pairings.
Our dinner would have been amazing had we not been seated next to an obnoxious lady who constantly yelled her drink orders over to the bar from her seat and had a very loud conversation with a waitress about her infant’s gynecological surgery....talk about dampening the mood... The tables were so close together that we felt like we were sitting with her. We asked to be moved but all other available tables were apparently reserved. No one did anything to curb the obnoxious lady’s behavior. We eat at Pairings at least 4-6 times a year but this time our visit was dampened by a regular. It will be a while before we return, if at all, and we won’t go back for an intimate meal.
Had to go to Maryland for work. Found this little gem on OpenTable. Not only was the service wonderful the food was beyond delicious. I also loved the decor and the selections of wine. Looking forward to going back here again soon.
Restaurant had good food but small portions. Kitchen was backed up. Make sure you allow at least 2+ hours for dinner on a Saturday night
I noted “birthday” when I made the reservation and when the restaurant called to confirm they said “this is for a birthday” but our waitress apparently wasn’t notified. She did make up for it at the end of the night after she saw us opening gifts.
The wine and food pairings were amazing. The bar was a little too noisy, would have liked to not have sat so close to other people, but our server was great. I would recommend to ask to sit in the dining area if you want a quiet dinner.
