    The staff and service were very good as well as the ambience of the dining area. However, the value of the meal was poor given the portion size. I ordered the French Onion Soup and the Bistro Streak. The soup was excellent, but a $11.00 is way overpriced, maybe $8.00, but not $11.00 given the ingredients in the soup. Bistro steak was not much larger than my Apple iPhone measuring 3" x 6" over a pile of French Fries and hardly worth $29.00. My wife experienced the same overpriced to portion size with the Apple Cider Glazed Chicken costing $26.00 It would appear they assumes it OK to overcharge because of the inflationary costs. However, these prices for the portion size are well beyond inflationary! I would not recommend Pairing's unless you have money to burn.

    Our experience was amazing, when we walked in we felt just like family… It’s a good thing that we did make reservations because it does get quite crowded quite quickly…I recommend highly the cream of crab soup with the lump crab meat and served with sherry, it’s absolutely delicious . The Cote de Rhône wine we drank topping it off was so complimentary.

    Went for happy hour on a Friday night with friends. There was not a good variety of the cocktails included in the happy hour menu, most had bourbon or whisky which" is not something I like. No "girly drinks at all. The apps included on happy hour were also limited and not very good variety. We ended up spending $100 for 2 people and we barely ate. Not going back for happy hour.

    The sliders are always great. I ate them. Two friends ate the halibut which was delicious. The potatoes that came with that were undercooked & hard. The waiter brought more potatoes, but those were not eaten by the ladies, because they said they weren’t good. The 4th lady totally enjoyed the cream of crab soup. The chocolate cake was scrumptious!

    My husband and I ate here last night. I’m not sure who our server was because we couldn’t hear a word he said. We started off great with the crab dip. My husband then opted for the 3 course pre fixe menu with wine pairings. Each course took an extremely long time to come out. I only ordered mussels as the entree. They didn’t have much flavor along with the broth. My husband had the lobster Mac and cheese and Cesar salad followed by the pork tenderloin special. The starters were fine. The entree was a little too sweet with no savory balance. We would have liked to have tried dessert but had already sat for 2+ hours and couldn’t sit there any longer. The atmosphere was great and it was busy but won’t risk a repeat of the slow service and ok food.

    Very nice atmosphere in the “library” room. When air conditioning clicked on there was a draft but at least it was not on the entire time. Food good, always consistent.

    We were there at 5:30 for our reservation to celebrate my daughter's birthday. When we got to the table the server gave us a little glass of champagne for her b day. We ordered right away and didn't get our dinner until after 7:00. We only had a crab dip appetizer and 2 orders of mussels which were not fully cooked and 1 chicken dinner. I would of liked to have had a desert for my daughters b day but by the time dinner came we needed to leave since we had a baby with us. Very disappointing.

    We visited Pairings restaurant for the first time .We chose to have the 3 course meal with pairing wines . The food was delicious and the accompanying wines delightful and generous. The room we were in was cosy and inviting. This was definitely one of the best meals I have eaten in the States. Highly recommend and great value for money.

    A lovely place for anniversary dinner! My chicken and risotto was very tasty but I chose the dish largely because it featured brussels sprouts, which were hard and tasteless. I could not eat them. The wine was wonderful and the compimentary bubbly toast was a nice touch. I would go again!

    We have been loyal regulars at Pairings for nearly 7 years. So much that Michelle was our regular server until she left, and now Jenn, who was off that night. After our visit on Saturday night, we’re giving Pairings a much needed break. It pains me to write my first bad review about our experience here, but we left pretty disappointed. We understand that glitches happen, but we went on an evening where the credit card machine went down for at least 30 minutes. One couple was invited in from the cold for a drink at the bar while they fixed it. Another couple grew very impatient as they weren’t told that the machine was down. As a result for us, we sat for FIFTY-FIVE minutes before one soup and one mac n cheese app came out. It was so cold on the patio and although they told us the space heaters were on, all we felt was wind. No efforts to roll down just one of the plastic windows to keep us warm and no accommodations made for our patience while our apps took an hour. As the restaurant cleared an hour later, we asked to be moved indoors which they accommodated. When my bf’s ribeye came out, it was disappointing to see 1/2 of it was clearly all fat. We made mention to our server, Chrissy, but nothing was done. She agreed that it was full of fat. Note that by the time the steak came out, 90 mins had passed. Shame on Pairings for charging $50 for a piece of fat and serving it to a customer. The chef should know better. Positives: pumpkin and vanilla martinis were very good, autumn bisque and Caesar salads were great. The live music is what we enjoy but unfortunately they moved the musician indoors and we didn’t know until we got inside. Unfortunately it’s not enough to make us want to return anytime soon.

    Never a bad meal there. Always fantastic. It's a little loud - even outside, but that's not something they can control. It's outdoors! The food is always top notch, with excellent seasonal specials. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.

    Our first visit to Pairings Bistro exceeded our expectations. Oysters on the 1/2 shell, cheese & charcuterie, chicken, scallops and flour-less chocolate cake were all delicious! We cannot wait to go back.

    Pairings Bistro continues to be one of my absolute favorite places in Harford County for amazing food, wine and service. Eric is the best server we have ever experienced. His service is equal to any 5 star New York restaurant.

    I enjoyed the food mostly and the wine was great once we got it. Their process seems flawed. There’s a gorgeous wine menu but note if you order a white not by the glass then they will pull it from the shelf warm and attempt to chill it then. We waited an hour for wine. I was not happy. To the managers credit apparently the chiller was broken and they comped our bottle. But needless to say for someone who drove 90 minutes for the wine food pairing experience this was a bit of a damper on the experience.

    As always, the food and service were amazing. We live in Florida and we’re in town to visit family and absolutely had to have dinner there! Every time we are here we always go to Pairings! The chicken Madeira was unbelievably tasty and my husband enjoyed the shrimp and grits.
