Great all around Restaurant. First time going there and I was surprised by the variety of dishes and atmosphere. Usually when you go to more of an “entertainment” / nightlife type restaurant, you expect the food quality to be lower. No so. We will definitely be coming back.
Food and service were great!
We ate there 3/10 Saturday around 6:30. While the food was good the noise level is off the chart. Having a conversation at the table was near impossible. The waiter even had trouble hearing us to take the order. The background music needs to be just that "background music" and at that hour it's not as if there was any dancing going on. It seems as the room noise increased the volume got higher. Some attempt needs to be taken to muffle some of the sound. The food was good, but for the second time the French Fries were over cooked (burnt) again. The service was good.
While the bread is okay I think something new would be a nice change. It's impossible to cut the bread it just turns into crumbs.
The other couple had leftovers which they were taking home. Walked out the door to the car which was right across the way and he went back in to get the bag. Wasn't there and was told "to late it was already in the garbage". It was less than 2 minutes really??
Will we go back as a couple yes maybe?? But NEVER on a Saturday or Friday evening nor will we take the chance and take another couple.
Food was amazing as usual. Service needs some help. The bus boy kept interrupting our conversations to assist him in clearing the table. To the point where he stopped me from talking to request my napkin which was still on my lap. Way more consideration needs to be given to the patrons. While the meal was amazing, the restaurant was far from full and there was no reason for us to be rushed out of our brunch. Unfortunately it left A bad impression as we were leaving.
We had a great experience. Your restaurant was packed probably due to the entertainment. I grew up in the area and still reside there so it's a place we frequent during the week on less hectic days. Saturday we were there for a birthday celebration. My only disappointment was that we had to ask for utensils after the appetizers were delivered to the table and waited a while. There was also an error with one of the entree orders-which was addressed right away by our waitress but the dressing for the salad that was wrong took a long time to come to the table. Painters is always a great time for me. The waitress was a doll. The bussing staff were extremely polite. I'm hoping the little blips we encountered was just a fluke. Like I said it was very loud and busy Saturday night there.
Food was all amazing, our waitress was spot on great and that Fried Banana Cheesecake was out of this world ❤️❤️❤️
My girlfriend and I went for Painter's for a Valentine's weekend date night. We have both previously ate at Painter's, and we enjoy it every time we go. There is something to eat for everyone!
I’ve been to Painters for brunch and the food, service and atmosphere was amazing. So we tried dinner... and probably won’t go back for dinner service. All food was over cooked, steak was asked for medium rare, it was well done, sweet potatoes over cooked, fish dry. The band that was there that night was good. But make sure you tell the door person that you are here for dinner reservation otherwise they will try to charge you a cover charge. Overall the place still has great good and worth the money of the dish, just will go during the day instead of dinner service
The entire night was beautiful.....the ambiance was perfect and our waitress Gina was awesome!!! My boyfriend proposed that night right at the table.....I’ll never forget my night and will be back very soon .
The waitress was nice but there was only 1. So to get service took FOREVER! An hour dinner turned to 2 because of the waiting for a side of ketchup or a refill.
Always love going to Painters, food is always great!
Went for my 31st birthday with 12 friends, food was excellent, service was extremely lacking and very rude. Would only return with small parties. They were well aware of our party, reservations were made well in advance and confirmed, arrived early. Very rude.
Great food! This was our second tome there. The first time we were unable to get a reservation but had apps at the bar. The second time we had a table and were so full from the fried mozzarella we could barely eat the dinner so we took it home. Food is delicious and great atmosphere!
Restaurant was absolutely filthy. I mean disgustingly filthy. Food was mediocre at best. My lobster roll meat was hard and chewy. Wait staff was uninformed. Way too loud. Would not go back or recommend. Terrible experience.
Service very slow. Room in the back has hard metal chairs and it's very noisy. Lobster baked clams super salty. The rest of the food was good tho. Bathrooms men and women went out of order, had to use two other single bathrooms on other side of restaurant, they got disgusting in a hurry.
I normally go to Painters every few months and generally during the week. It is usually quite pleasant and you can carry on a conversation but last Saturday the music was over the top loud and you couldn’t even hear a word anyone said. We ate the prix fix menu. The first and second courses were good but the chocolate strudel was a joke. The serving was just enough for a bite and tasted like shoe leather. I usually like it there but this night was disappointing
They need to keep the music down in the second dining area so you can hear yourself think.
A very disappointing visit! Our table, for the second time, was in a terrible location as we repeatedly got bumped by passers. (Set in-between two tables.)
My husband's NY strip was over done, when it was ordered medium, it was charred. Our waitress forgot our drinks, 2x's and they left out the requested birthday candle for my husband's special dinner. I've been coming for years, but I will choose another restaurant in the future. So sad... was my favorite!
I have eaten at Painters several times, for lunch and dinner. Each time I have been surprised by the wonderful taste combinations offered by the chef. This time, I had the Restaurant week special: an appetizer of shrimp, which was well prepared with a sweetish sauce and the scallop with risotto, which was a little disappointing. While the scallops were well prepared, the risotto was very soupy... not what I expected...although it did taste good. I think next time, for me, a choice from the regular menu would have been better. My husband had the tuna taco appetizer which is fantastic and the chicken and rice dish which he said was terrific. Service is always attentive, and considering the large number of people who were dining, we really didn't wait long for anything.
Extremely crowded as it was Restaurant Week and was very busy . Had made a reservation and requested a quieter table as the main room can be very noisy with the bar crowd . Our hostess was quite miffed when we asked for a different table - the first one she led us too was right in the path of swinging staff doors , not very desirable. She wasn’t happy leading us to a second table- downside ...upside - great food .
The food was great and so was our waiter but the place is very noisy. The resteraunt is up beat and fun! Art work is amazing!
Made reservations. Brought to our table right away. Staff, service and food was great.
Food is good service is ok just hate that every time I eat here they tell open table I didn’t show when I’m sitting right in the restaurant then it’s always a issue to get them to change it. Hint we get an email stop doing it!!
The noisy atmosphere did not detract one bit from the attentive service and delicious food! We went with the prix fixe menu for Restaurant Week. We both started with the kale and quinoa salad with goat cheese, which was enhanced with toasted almond slivers, dried cranberries and Granny Smith apple slices, tossed in a light honey mustard vinaigrette. My brother went with the filet mignon, which he declared to be tender and cooked perfectly. My boneless short ribs in a red wine demi glace were so tender and delicious, I wish I could eat them every day! Dessert was a passable chocolate strudel. I highly recommend this place!
I saw mixed reviews but heard so much about it and Restaurant Week seemed like a good reason to check it out. Sorry to say we were disappointed with the service; the food was okay, but not worth the overpriced menu. If I were to try again, rather than have a full dinner or meal, I would go to see a band and have a drink and apps.
Very good food and atmosphere. Was waited on by a manager I think, so the service was ok.
Great food and great service
Normally I love Painters, and the food is always delicious. This time my boyfriend had an issue with his burger. He ordered it medium and it came out well well done. It was burnt on the outside. We sent it back and it came back 15min looking the same way. Nobody checked to see if the burger was better. He ended up taking 2 bites and still had to pay for the entire burger. This was upsetting because we normally always have a great experience at painters and good service.
Great food, good service, very noisy
Fantastic menu. Everything was great. Took clients for dinner and they loved it too.
Phenomenal gnocchi Mac and cheese!
Margaritas were delish!
Had the appetizer shrimp n lobster risotto is was amazing!
Only thing I don’t like about this place is that they refuse to substitute anything! I absolutely hate Brussels sprouts and asked for a different veggie option and they said the chef wouldn’t do that! Why?? I think that is ridiculous
Always a great experience! Food is exceptional, service is over the top (Nick and Zach are terrific) great! My go to place!
This is my second time eating here. The place is a bit eclectic, and the food is great. I like the overall look of the restaurant and like that the tables are not so close together. We shared the lobster baked clams, ordered lobster club and the osso bucco?
The food was amazing! We were seated quickly. Service was slow and our waiter barely checked on us. But the food! Awemaze Ballz! They had a band there that night (Mean Machine). Awesome band! The DJ played good music in between sets. Danced the night away. Great night!
I like the energy of having live bands but all just too loud to hear the waiter or have a conversation with people across the table. I like the variety on the menu and the food is good, its just too loud to enjoy the people you are with.
Great food and waitstaff, always a good meal here.Good menu,
Busy Saturday night, reservation for 8 including 3 kids. Food was good, lively atmosphere so you don't feel like you're ruining someone's dinner when your toddlers get antsy waiting for food.
Great time wish they would remove some tables by the dance floor once band went on
Food excellent as always. Desert the best service was slow at first. Got seated and waited a while to be approached for drinks and appetizers. Bus people and kitchen expiditers hanging around and fooling around in front of kitchen. Unprofessional. Otherwise an excellent choice for dining out
I took my wife in for an early dinner and date night. We started at the bar and worked our way to the table. Beer selection was impressive. Service was good and unobtrusive...timing was great. Prime rib was a bit salty but overall good. Tuna was cooked perfectly and accompanied with well paired sides.. sauce was a bit overpowering. Would definitely recommend and will be back to try some other items.
