Paddy's is authentically Irish and the menu is varied and interesting. But for a poor quality salad, we could have had a much better experience, especially since we enjoyed sitting outside for on a spectacular day. I ordered a Fisherman's Pie, which came with a choice of salad accompaniment. I chose Caesar salad, which was a substantial portion for a side. The Fisherman's pie was very tasty, and I enjoyed every morsel. But the experience was spoiled by the poor quality of what appeared to be "day old" or worse lettuce (and hardly ice cold), and weak tasting dressing. Considering I had previously enjoyed a much better experience at Paddy's in Bellevue, this visit was disappointing. Maybe I'll return for a beer (lots of choices!) and World Cup soccer.

Meh!! Barbecued chicken salad was really just grilled chicken but it was served with cold onion rings. Just a basic salad I could have thrown together at home with very little effort. The Irish fish stew was bland and not very good. What looked like a yummy biscuit on top was really just a puff pastry cut in a circle. It’s pub food, nothing more. We won’t be back.

We arrived at 615 for our annual St Paddy’s day dinner with family. Told our reservation for 615 was cancelled! Our favorite holiday of the year was a big let down! In all the yrs we have gathered our family for dining on St Paddy day this was a first. First and last time we will ever go to Paddy Coynes. We were treated very poorly after we were told our reservation was cancelled. Open table and Paddy Coynes made a major error and let down so many on a favorite holiday. Awful experience and poorly handled.

I met Saint Patrick that evening! It was my St. Pat's birthday (I turned over a new decade). I had made a reservation with Open Table for four of us a week before the March 17 date. Couldn't wait for that amazing corned beef and cabbage. Unfortunately, on the day of the reservation, I received an email from Open Table saying that they were sorry but my reservation had been canceled and that Paddy Coyne's was closed for St. Pat's Day. I couldn't believe this so I called the restaurant. They said that they were in fact open but that Open Table made a mistake by taking reservations. The restaurant was so crowded that the tables were first come first served. I had already paid for a room at the Edgewater for that night and was very disappointed. At any rate, we gave it a try, and my wife talked to the manager (Patrick) when we arrived explaining the situation. Patrick got us a table within ten minutes and took perfect care of us all evening. We had a wonderful time and the corned beef and cabbage were indeed delicious. Everything was perfect and the four of us had a great time. The only other comment I would make regarding the meal is that the last I was there, it included carrots which has been changed to kale. I with they would go back to the carrots. Thank you Patrick --- you are a saint!

We made a reservation for St. Patrick’s Day. We received an e-mail confirmation that said the restaurant would be closed that day. We tried calling the restaurant. There was no answer and the voicemail wasn’t set up. We checked their website to see if they were indeed closed. Nothing indicated that on the website. After our reservation time had passed we thought to look at their Facebook page and finally saw an announcement about St. Paddy’s day events at Paddy Coyne’s. It said “family friendly until 5 p.m.” We were planning on having a family meal with our kids and celebrating our Irish heritage with traditional Irish food. We didn’t go to Paddy’s Coyne’s because of all of this confusion, and now I am getting emails that said I did check in on Saturday and “how was paddy Coyne’s?” So ridiculous.

While the service was good, the food was not. I ordered the Reuben Sandwich and a bowl of Clam Chowder. I asked for the sandwich to be lightly toasted. When the food arrived, my sandwich had been thoroughly grilled and was very greasy. it was so greasy that I couldn't even pick it up to eat it. It just fell apart. I ended up picking at it with a fork until I couldn't stomach anymore. The chowder arrived hot, but was watery and lacked flavor. I would not recommend Paddy Coyne's Irish Pub - Pier 70 which is unfortunate. The restaurant has great potential, but is not getting the business I would expect for a pub in this location. We dined on a weekend, but the restaurant and the bar were empty. Why? The food? That would be a great place to start improvements.

On Pier 70, right next to the Olympic Sculpture Park. I would describe this as a pub. Good basic food and full bar. Great location being over the water.
