View was beautiful, just feet from the ocean. Service and food wonderful for our last night on Maui. Been coming to Maui for many years and now have another favorite restaurant to come back to.
We hadn't been for a while so truly enjoyed going back. The food was very good as usual and really enjoyed the local vegetables and fish. The patio experience is also a great bonus.
Definitely on our list for every visit to Maui.
Great spot on Maui. Wonderful service , delicious entrees,
Appetizers out of this world.
Great evening, great food with awesome flavors, birthday evening, great server who treated my grandson with a great deal of respect.
Fantastic atmosphere, incredible food, friendly service and outstanding weather! When we return to Maui we will dine at Pacific’O again, as well we will recommend it to friends and family!
PacificO falls into the “just like many of the Maui restaurants” category. The menu items sound interesting with wonderful ingredients but the preparation and final dishes are average at best. Add that to the higher end cost and I would rather head to other places like Star Noodle, Lahaina Grill, Gerard’s or Honu.
Their ginger fish is amazing along with super friendly staff. Beautiful ocean view.
Pacific’O has the perfect oceanfront setting for a date night, special occasion or getting together with friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our perfectly cooked and garnished delicious meals. We booked at sunset time and the view was tremendous from our table. If you have lots of time, as service was a little slow, I’d highly recommend this restaurant.
A very pleasant evening at PacificO! Everything was great. Our server, chad, was pleasant and helpful. The seafood risotto was excellent, too much seafood.
We were looking for a nice dinner in West Maui. Pacific'O came recommended by a local. We were very pleased with the quality of the food, the setting (amazing), service was great. We had high expectations and it met/exceeded everything.
Everything was great, service was just a little lagging. We didn’t get our wine and bread/butter until 15 minutes in.
They grow everything on their own farm so, as expected, this is some of the more healthy food on the island. The problem is they don't seem to know how to use any spices or flavors. Maybe their target audience is the elderly and the midwesterners, but it was an extremely disappointing meal for $175 + tip for two adults and two small children who split a child's meal.
Superb dinner at Pacific’O. Started with appetizers. The Liver muse was superb. Rich that needs to be shared with all diners. Salad was fresh and tasty with Surfing Goat cheese. We shared a Goatfish. Wow, it was terrific. Never had it before, but recommend it.
We were so looking forward to dinner at Pacific'o after not having time to go last year when we were in Maui. Unfortunately, it was not worth the wait.
Yes, the setting is beautiful and if you are not staying ocean front it would be a great spot for dinner.
The food was fine--mostly. The won ton appetizer was like something you'd get from a bar--overly deep fried and soggy/chewy. The salads were small and fine. The filet was perfectly cooked and the fresh fish of the day was cooked beautifully. The Ahi had bones in it which left two of us choking. Not what you expect for $48 a plate... The dessert was dreadful; dry, flavourless banana bread served with a teaspoon of sauce.
Cocktails are heavy on simple syrup and sugar, and were all served in improper glassware. You do not serve a margarita in a pint glass.
The worst part was the service--overly cocky and instructive, bordering on condescending. We were also madly rushed through the entire meal--salads arrived b before we'd had a sip of our cocktails; the entrees arrived while still finishing salads. The second cocktails took 25 minutes and arrived when were finishing the entrees. Then we sat for 30 minutes waiting for dessert. Then another 30 for the bill. Painful. I don't know why they were rushing us just to leave us unattended with credit cards on the table for an hour.
I also didn't notice any female servers--all bro-type male servers; all white (that we could see) while the bussers were men of colour. Just augmented the Orange County vibe.
Corey the bartender is amazing and has the finest cocktails with the best ingredients and great taste!!! Dinner was excellent and farm to table excellence - thank you to Brian our waiter for wonderful service and great recommendations - this is one of our regular stops when we come each year to Maui and never disappoints!!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed Pacific O. The food is all local and much from their own farm The food is creative and delicious. Service and recommendations were wonderful. We split our main dish (we usually do) and the portion was more than enough. We didn’t have their fresh ground self produced coffee as no decaf but used the waiters recommendation to find it the next day at Aina coffee shop (beside Dukes) and it was similarly excellent and worth the journey.
This was our second visit and perhaps because our first was SO fabulous, we were a little disappointed this visit. Wait staff were not as attentive, the food was mediocre, and it lacked the overall WOW factor we experienced a year ago. The setting is lovely, view amazing and combining last year's 5 star with this years 3....I give it a 4
20th wedding anniversary
Pacific'O wins my 20118 vote for best Maui restaurant! The view at sunset is stunning if you are seated outside.
Great cocktail menu to get started. Produce is fresh and local....and I can taste the difference. The flavors of my seafood risotto prove that this place delivers the quality of a fine restaurant. For all that, I think the price was fair.
Great ambiance and outdoor dining experience. Unique flavors and special menu items. Lisa was very helpful and a true professional. Able to catch sunset on the beach. Started with a refreshing cocktail of the night.
Pork belly appetizer, house salad, and Hapa tempura. Fresh ingredients; even their french press coffee was homegrown and delicious. Nice array on the menu, highly recommended going to Pacific’O.
Friends from Minnesota. Great ambiance and service.
The outdoor seating was magical. We saw a wonderful sunset. The food was good, the salads were full of fresh lettuce. The lamb dish however came well done when it was ordered rare. The waiter had this fixed fairly quickly and a nice dessert was given to the guest whose dinner was delayed.
Food is delicious but not ordinary. Impressive use of home grown ingredients. Especially delicious hen mousse. Not for the faint hearted eater or one not willing to spend NYC prices for adequate but not elegant service. Beautiful views
Great location on the beach. Food was excellent. Servers, particularly Chris, extremely knowledgeable regarding local cuisine. Our food came out a bit slow but we did not mind as the ambiance was exceptional. This is one place we will definitely return to on our next visit. Have been to most of the restaurants in the Lahaina area over the past 20 years and this one certainly stands out among the best.
Outstanding fresh local seafood and fresh vegetables and salads. Great views too.
We made last minute reservations and were accomodated very close to the time we made them. The staff was very friendly from hostess station to server! Meal was very good with some very unique seafood options. Great wine list.....The view was amazing right out on the beach!
A lovely place with a great attention to detail. With their own farm, all the produce is excellent.
Our favorite restaurant in Maui. Always a winner.
Friendly host! Attentive service. Nice view from upper area along railing. Fresh fish and vegetables. Unusual ahi presentation.
We had a great anniversary dinner here. Excellent food, the service was attentive, but not intrusive, and what a romantic setting. We split the Maui onion and surfing goat cheese salad, which was still plenty. My wife had the lamb chops, which were the most tender lamb chops ever and really great flavor. It also came with tempura asparagus and kale, which were tasty, though a bit rich. She paired it with a Turkey Zinfandel, as recommended by the waitperson, which was an excellent choice. I had the filet, which was cooked to perfection and so flavorful for such a lean cut of beef. It came with roasted veggies and basil pesto mashed potatoes. Everything was excellent. This has been, and still is, a favorite restaurant for us.
We were sold on the seafood special which was delicious, but we were a bit shocked at the price at the end of our meal. $95 for a fried whole fish seemed a bit much, granted it was delicious, the price should have been disclosed with the description of the dish.
The location is fantastic. We were seated outside and were able to view an incredible sunset. The food and service matched the sunset! We will definitely be back.
First time at this restaurant and impressed. Jeremy was our waiter and he has a natural talent for making everything sound enticing. As stated before in past reviews the menu doesn't seem to be static and I understand that is due to their dedication to fresh ingredients. Vegetables from the farm and what is fresh from the boats so I give this feature a plus contrasting some previous reviews. It is said, great food starts with great ingredients. Ordered what Jeremy said was fresh and it was not just delicious but also fun to eat. Great presentations and unique combinations made for visual and tasting fun as we tasted off of each other's plates to try it all. Finished with coffee grown and roasted at the farm. Wow.
Service was a bit slow. Server was a bit condescending. We aren’t big drinkers for a number of reasons and his response when ordering a soft drink was “Just a Coke?” Also telling my wife who has a weight problem about the healthy options on the menu, which he didn’t do to any other table, was rude. The lobster ravioli was the highlight of the cuisine. We were waiting roughly 20 minutes between courses. My wife got the Olive Oil Fish, which was over-cooked and I got the Seafood Risotto infused with beets. The risotto had a good texture but the sauce was a little “thin”. I was expecting more of a thicker sauce which a traditional risotto normally has. The scallops were cooked nicely and the fish wasn’t over cooked like my wife’s. We also had a beet salad which was very nice. Personally, I don’t think it was worth the hype, and there are some great restaurants in Maui. We won’t be back.
We love this restaurant, but something was off with the service. It took too long for our server to come over. He finally did and never came back. We also were seated before others around us, but our meals came out after theirs. The food was outstanding, but this time the service was not satifactory.
Everything was superb...from the service to the food to the ambiance! We love this place and would recommend it to all foodies that love fresh ingredients served in an artful manner, along with an amazing Pacific Ocean view. We’ve been coming here for years, and it’s always a pleasure. Thank you Pacifico’s and staff!
We celebrated birthdays on the outside terrace and it was absolutely perfect in every way.
Delicious food. Beautiful atmosphere on the beach. This restaurant never disappoints.
Seated efficiently. Unfortunately was dark so missed out on capitalizing on the view. Out waitress was very pleasant and the meal was excellent. Sadly they have removed duck from the menu that we enjoyed previously. But the meal was still good.
Terrific restaurant with a great bartender and hostess. Good food, great location and views.
