This restaurant was fantastic in every way. From the cocktails, farm to table tasting menu to the incredible sunset seen from our table. I highly recommend it and will go back next I’m in Maui.
Vacation dining. A must stop in Maui.
Whenever we’re in Maui this is one of our go to special treats. This year was a disappointment. The setting is still lovely and service superb however there is a new chef. The menu is more or less the same but the quality of the meal is not. I had heard that but needed to check out on my own. Their signature fish dish was boring and not crispy as in the description. The subtle spices were perhaps too subtle— whatever it was —all four of us felt it was mediocre and not worth the
This was the first time we had been here for brunch (Sunday’s only). I highly recommend it for any meal.
Manager had to como everything but one dish. Our server was aggressive and argumentative. Never delivered drinks and ordered the incorrect food
Amazing food. I live on island and was blown away by quality of ingredients, local ingredients, and amazing service.
Requested a window, they did put us next to a window but the view was blocked by a tent that they had put up. After expressing our dissatisfaction they did move us outside to the tent. In my opinion, for an expensive restaurant I expect more than plastic chairs to sit on.
Service was good, Pate was excellent however my risotto was very oily. Over all the food is pricey but fresh.
Out with friends
Overall great food and was recommended from another traveller
Great seafood and Pinot noirs
Beautiful view of ocean and sunset
Great view of the sunset tonight. The service was a little slow but very accommodating. The Poke was fresh, the coconut fish very tasty, and the deconstructed cheesecake is memorable so save room!
Great food, nice location right on the beach. Good service.
Great food and outstanding view of sunset. We had ahi tuna on a bed of greens with goat cheese and guacamole mousse. A delightful combination. With a bottle of Oregon Pinot noir. They offer excellent wines. Our server was very knowledgeable and super helpful, but lost his focus when a large corporate group came and he joined other servers helping them. But overall highly recommend!
The staff were super helpful. From suggesting and taking great photos to food recommendations. First time here in our 12 island visits. Definitely will be back
Beautiful spot and if the weather permits to sit outdoors you can’t beat the view. It got a little chilly. Would be fabulous if they had baskets for blankets available for you if you got chilly because being outside is so great. Loved this place.
We were seated promptly but the server didn’t appear until we had been waiting for 20
minutes. She took our orders but had to come back because she forgot what wine we wanted. My chicken dish was pleasant. My wife ordered the olive oil poached fish which was ok but not worth $44.00. Plating and presentation were offhand - overall a somewhat disappointing experience. Not bad certainly but not up to expectations
Excellent experience. Staff explained things very well and were very attentive. Food was delicious.
We had not been back for a few years, and really enjoyed the experience
Service was a little slow but food was great. We both had fish that was really good.
Superb service, superb food. An outstanding experience recommend higly
We always make stop at Pacific O when we are in Maui. We think that it is the best restaurant in west Maui.
Excellent food and service in a wonderful outside ocean front patio. The menu is filled with a nice variety of wonderful taxing appetizers and entrees.
Fabulous, super bowl Sunday. Very quiet. Best Mahi I have ever had. Wonderful evening .
Beautiful sunset views with great meal and service. Rated at 4* only because drinks/cocktails were not up to par and tasted quite watered down. otherwise, great place!
We had a fabulously wonderful dinner. The setting is first class. The service was attentive and the food was heavenly.
Anniversary - wonderful experience.
Great Location and Great Food! They are all very friendly
We have been coming to Pacific "O for several years, and this dinner was disappointing. Dinners here have been a family "tradition" and this was not the quality we have experienced in the past.
The service was adequate, but not as in the past. The food was not prepared to our satisfaction and also disappointing. Unfortunately because of this experience, we have chosen not to return for awhile and maybe all these issues will improve. There seem to be issues that need to be addressed for further success in the restaurant.
The view is incomparable. We had a table, next to the lawn (it was a rainy night) with a full, unobstructed view of the ocean/sunset. THAT view alone is worth dining here. Prices are high .... but not any higher tan the rest of the places on Maui.
The food is delicious but sadly, the vegetarian options are VERY slim. We had the gnocchi and some delicious salads...but would love to see more veggie options.
Service was perfection. (They even let us use some binoculars to watch whales)!
We ate here for our 25th anniversary. The food and the service we’re outstanding! Great sunset views too!
The only thing better than the great food was the incredible staff. We ended up eating at the bar because it started to rain The bartenders made it fun to sit there. We will be back the ne t time we’re in Maui
Loved the food, and the service was friendly, but really not up to snuff. At these prices, I expect a professional server who can manage to bring out the food/wine pairings at the same time. Didn’t happen for a SINGLE course of the menu gastronomic. A bummer when the wine came first and we had to wait for the food, and genuinely unacceptable on the 2 courses where we were served the food but had to wait for the wine. I blame the management. If you can’t get your training and timing down, don’t attempt wine pairings. All you accomplished was to disappoint customers who came to enjoy themselves.
Food was delicious, unbeatable ambience.
Great brunch and beautiful beachside seating.
Our last night on Maui and we had a few disappointing meals. Thought Pacific’O might break the trend. Sadly they really didn’t. The restaurant was in a lovely setting but the food was not special. Ordered seafood risotto and the rice was just fishy, it needed a saffron flavor to set it apart from seafood.
Come to San Diego for great food and take ideas back to Maui
Dinner was fabulous as was the service.
I have gone to Pacific O every time I go to Maui since 2001, always excellent and I have never been disappointed.
We were here celebrating a special honeymoon dinner. The food was incredible. The service was excellent and relaxed. Allowed us to enjoy and order at our own pace which was very much appreciated. Would definitely come back.
Wonderful food, service, upfront ocean view in a quiet atmosphere. Lobster ravioli is fantastic!
Got there early and they seated us immediately. Staff was attentive and gave good advise on our choices. Explained entrees in detail. Table was nice and comfortable for four adults lots of room for appetizers that we shared. The scenery can’t be beat as the ocean is right there. Would go again for sure.
I found the food was okay, however, my mother makes better lamb chops and I would expect a restaurant to be better than hers. The tables were too close together, meaning that I could hear the conversations of the tables next to me extremely clear. Anthony, our waiter, was exceptional and is in our opinion a great asset to the company, although did not acknowledge the special occasion to which we dined. With that said, they did provide us with a card and I believe Anthony wasn’t informed.
