Sunset dining at its best! Pacific’O is located on Lahaina's most beautiful white sand beach with panoramic views of three neighboring islands. This was the chosen residence and "playground" for Hawaiian royalty; here ancient kings and queens feasted and made merry. Today, enjoy the same pleasures in Pacific'O's open air dining room or on the romantic beachside patio. Long recognized as a leader in local, organic dining; Pacific'O was the first to establish their very own island farm. Each day the table is set with just harvested macrobiotic vegetables and fruit; and local fishermen deliver fresh fish still dripping from the sea. Pacific'O is a local favorite since opening in 1993.

Pacific'O Ratings and Reviews
Waterfront view is great. Noise from next door luau can be troublesome. Food was great but server was overly taxed and made mistakes (brought our dessert to wrong tables and made us wait a very long time for it). The prices are very high, so check the menu before going. Wines are very expensive.
We visit Maui often and every visit includes a special sunset dinner at Pacific 'O. This time the manager Lance greeted us personally and let us know that he was aware that we are regulars, that he appreciates our loyalty, and that he's aware that we consistently order the Peoni Pinot Noir. He said they were considering having a bottle ready for us when we arrive for our reservations in the future. We love Pacific 'O because the food is so consistently delicious and inventive, the service is attentive without being intrusive, and the setting is sublime. We plan to move to Maui for the winters when we retire and have been considering buying a home within walking distance of Pacific 'O so we can have a standing dinner reservation each week. It really is THAT good.
If you want great views on the ocean, a brilliant sunset, good food and service, you can't pass this great venue up. My friend and I had a sumptuous meal at this place, and I love that they source much of their food from local farmers, etc. We had great wines and cocktails, served by a nice server originally from Alaska. Our appetizer was the lobster ceviche, which was just a little "soupy" for our taste. Since we love good food, we shared our 2 entrees. Both were delicious, where were the Kona Winds Grilled Fish, and the Harissa and Sesame Coated Lamb. There was so much food, but that didn't stop us from leisurely finishing our meal. If and when I do get back to Maui, this will be on my bucket list of "must visits" again. Truly a memorable experience.
Pacific O is one of my top favorite restaurants in Maui. While a bit pricey, it is worth every penny. The combination of oceanfront dining views and dishes made with their own farm produce and local fresh ingredients can't be beat. Don't miss this special place when in Paradise.
Best meal of the week. The service was great and very attentive. The food was phenomenal, I ate the seared ahi tuna and wife bride had the coconut crusted mahi. Also enjoyed the martini special of the day and shared a bottle of Sancerre with dinner. We make it a point to dine here at least once every trip to Maui.
Food and views were outstanding. Took an hour and a half to get our food (every other table around us got theirs and was on to dessert by the time we got ours). Not a good wait time with two kiddos (their food also came with ours, not before, like our waiter had told us).
Pacific'O has an awesome romantic setting with delicious food to match. The Ahi (Kona Winds) was a delicious entree as was their Coconut Crusted Mahi. The fresh produce from their farm is definitely an added plus to their clean healthy menu selections. Their wine selections and cocktails are top notch! Truly the best dinner setting in Lahaina. Delicious!!!
The food was beautifully presented on our dishes and tasted wonderful. However, service was non-chalant nothing special to note. On our vacation we also ate at Dukes (personal favorite) and Merriman’s and this restaurant was in the same price category expecting similar service but there was nothing special outside of the food.
We come to Pacific 'O every time we visit Maui because it's beachfront with a beautiful view of the ocean. The food has always been pretty good, but I think I was a little disappointed this last visit. I think the setting is enough to bring me back for another time.
This place rocks. We eat here every year at least once or twice a trip (usually as a first lunch and later in our stay for a guaranteed amazing dinner). The food is fantastic, the wait staff are on point, friendly and very helpful, and the ambiance is stunning. Sitting in the beach/deck and looking at the ocean while folks learn to surf or stroll about is fun. The food is fit for foodies and farm to table. Simply everything is good: the salads (amazing goat cheese), the fish dishes (the ahi special was super), the fresh brewed kombucha, all of it was delightful. Hit this place up. Support local/s.
I think Pacific'O was the best part of Maui. It's located at the very end of Lahaina's downtown area and it's location is PERFECTION. The outdoor seating is steps from the beach and we caught the sunset just as it was happening. We were also next door to a luau, so we had music to accompany our meal.
Another great thing about this place is the staff. Everyone here, especially our waiter (whose name I can't remember, but he was from Philly) was so friendly and helpful. That might just be a trait everyone in Hawaii has though.
The food though is something else. First, everything is locally sourced and is one of those "farm to table" places. Secondly, every dish we had was phenomenal. We started with the poke, which had the most amazing Ahi Tuna. It was spicy and came with yummy taro chips. If I had one complaint, it'd be that it had too much chili flakes in it. For dinner, my husband got the Kona Winds dish, with Ahi again as the fish. Everything about this dish was magical. Everything it came with complimented everything so well. Unfortunately, my husband came down with something earlier in the day so he wasn't able to enjoy it fully. He did assure me that what he did manage to eat was phenomenal! We were also fortunate that this particular dish did well as leftovers.
I got the seafood risotto and it is by far the richest, most delicious thing I had in Maui. The risotto is so creamy, salty, and full of Parmesan cheese and heavy cream. It might actually be a little too rich, honestly. But the seafood itself was really fresh and tasty. The prawns were slightly overcooked, but seasoned nicely. The scallops were seared perfectly and the fish was also just cooked to a perfect tenderness.
I also really enjoyed the bread they give you with the butter and the Hawaiian salt.
Overall, the food here is amazing and the views make it a perfect romantic place to go!
Specifically requested an ocean view, arrived early and had a table in front of plants/ shrubs that we couldn't even begin to see the ocean or sunset! It took our waiter 45 minutes before taking our order and we waited another 50 minutes for our mediocre at best food. Not impressed at all!
