returning customer after a four year absence and was disappointed in the food and the service
We have stayed at the Brice, where Pacci is located, on our way south to Florida. Have eaten breakfast and dinner there each time. This time we were disappointed. My veal scallopini was “different” but not in a good way. Veal floating in a too lemony broth, with pasta and way too many large onions. Just didn’t work for me. Wife’s meal seemed to be ok. My breakfast of lemon ricotta pancakes were as good as ever, my wife’s avocado toast had cold eggs on top.
While the service was quite good, and the venue is pleasant, we are not sure we will be back.
Here is my evaluation: The music was awful, and increased the sense of hard surfaces, loud voices, the opposite of cozy. Food okay, but not up to the price in my view. Server and other staff great.
Good food. Good service. Could use more variety on brunch menu.
Ordered the shrimp and risotto and it was crunchy. As it was business meal didn’t want to interrupt everyone’s meal. Just disappointed
My favorite lunch spot! Service, food, price point...EVERYTHING is top of the line!!
The food was outstanding, and the host was amazing, but that was about it. There appeared to be one server with about 10 tables, and for this caliber of a restaurant, that's way too many tables. We were seated for about 10 minutes, when the server finally came over and asked for an order, for which I had to interrupt and ask to get drinks. We were celebrating an engagement and the server never mentioned a word about it. Really disappointing experience, but kudos to the chef.
Shanice our server was excellent! The brunch was delicious and the atmosphere was great!
Great food, great service, and a great venue! Even better was the fact that they also cater to people who have food allergies. They don’t share this on their website but they have quite a few delicious options for people who cannot have gluten. Our server was fantastic and we were warmly greeted when we arrived. Our food was excellent (so were the deserts) and they arrived at our table pretty quickly after ordering. We will definitely come back to this restaurant at our next visit!
Wish your bolognese did not have so many unnecessary herbs and spices. A true bolognese has almost none.
Excellent all around as always!
Overpriced average food.
While our waitress was very kind, we waited over an hour for our food. It was not very busy so I’m not sure if the kitchen was backed up or short-staffed but the wait was entirely too long. We also had to remind our waitress to bring us stuff a couple of times. The food was ok, not worth the price. The restaurant itself was very cute and had a great atmosphere.
Fresh baked bread and housemade pasta! Fantastic!
Dinner was great for me, but my date’s food wasn’t very good. The manager was quick to make that situation right and save our dining experience. Our server was so outstanding that we gave her a 50% tip. I could rave about her all night. The drinks from the bar were excellent. If you come to eat here, you won’t regret it—just realize that the menu choices are a little sparse.
The Chicken Parmingina was tasty; however the dessert was very disappointing. I had the chocolate pie dessert and as someone who loves chocolate, I could not bring myself to finish it. The biscoffi base was extremely thick, the chocolate mousse tasted artificial and was extremely dry.
Spectacular meal for restaurant week! Really liked the risotto, gazpacho and pork osso.
Found this close to our hotel on River Street, inside another hotel. Food was fantastic. Pasta was fresh and house-made. I had the carbonara which was a fresh take substituting smoked pork belly for prosciutto. Perfectly executed and well worth the reasonable price.
Our waitress didn't know what the food was on the menu or how it was prepared. She forgot to let me know that the beverage I asked about wasn't available. There is such a thing as "too institutional" decor. Pacci has it. Probably won't return.
We had heard this was an authentic Italian restaurant. When we mentioned that to our server she said, "No, not really... Maybe a few years ago." Not a great start or endorsement. Food was average but was priced as if it were out of this world. Bartender made what was supposed to be an Aperol spritz with what tasted like orange crush. Disappointed.
Went for brunch and it was amazing (had the garlic shrimp on toast) and the brunch drinks are delicious. Our waiter was so nice and energetic. Perfect for a friend's get-together.
Me and my wife’s food was very bland and boring. We were both extremely disappointed, especially given the selection of amazing restaurants in the area. Ended up with almost a $100 check on food we barely ate.
Great location. Our food was very good. Ambiance is casual in a hotel setting. Glad we found this place.
It was nice. Our server was delighti.
Nice modern and comfortable atmosphere, excellent service, and wonderful food.
I had high hopes for this restaurant! The bartender was checked out and was texting on his iPhone...we ordered the crusty bread /cheese/jam app and were given crackers instead of bread...the entrees were just ‘meh’ in taste...and the plating/presentation was sloppy. Pretty sure I won’t go back :(
Charming and quaint little place. The staff was friendly and the food delicious! It was quiet and relaxing. Loved it!
Let me begin by saying the Food is spectacular!! I give them 5 stars on the food. The Wild Mushroom Pate is unbelievable and the Carbonara & Veal are two great entrees. But and this is a huge but....The Service was just awful. This may have been an isolated incident with a particular server, but it was inexcusable! We were seated immediately upon our arrival and received water and drinks in a timely fashion. Our appetizers were served in an acceptable amount of time, but after that it went downhill. The people next to us who came in a few minutes after our arrival had the same problems as did the couple sitting across from us. Yes, the same server. We were there for an hr before our entree came out and right at two hrs for the entire service to be completed. The front was not busy and other tables seemed to get their food in a timely fashion. In fact several tables were seated after us and were finished and gone long before we even got our dessert orders in. Again the food was spot on, but if this is the kind of service you get on a non-busy night, then I can't imagine it when it is busy.
The only good thing about it was the food. Service was unprofessional. Ambiance was horrible: loud, cold, totally unpleasant.
Great happy hour prices! Excellent food at dinner as well.
It took 25mn from ordering to delivery of a beer. The service was poor. We ordered 3 desserts and they were différents. The explanation: 3 were not crunchy because it did not have time to set. Poor explanation and not really good food.
Very late arrival and staff were exceptionally accommodating due to the time.
Shannon was very amenable and supported by a great team with Brennan, Christina, and Katie.
Food was delicious and paired very well with recommended libations
Always a good to great meal here....service was slow to poor, water glasses were left empty and wine bottle too....seemed like the were short staffed yet even though we were a party of 5 and there were only 4 other tables, they still seemed to struggle..
While staying close by at a rental property, we happened upon Pacci mid-afternoon, just in time for Aperitivo hour. Excellent cocktails and appetizers, prepared by Chris and Bill - both friendly and professional staff. We came back for dinner another evening after making reservations. It appeared the restaurant was not prepared for the number of guests, and was short staffed causing our seating to be much later than expected. However, the staff was apologetic and courteous, and the food was delicious. We will return on our next visit to Savannah.
Service was very slow and sub par. The manager apologized for the delay and said it was due to them being busy Memorial weekend on Sunday at 7:30pm, go figure... The portions were small, although the food and drinks were good. Took over 20 minutes to get our drinks, 40 minutes for Bread and over an hour for food while we even ordered as we sat down because we had a tour to attend. The manager Ben did his best to remedy the situation and handled it well.
Menu was VERY limited with maybe half dozen choices in each category on one page, sorted into salads, small plates and large plates. My husband - a traditionalist - could not find one thing to his liking and had to ask the chef to prepare some simple ziti with garden vegetables with red sauce, which was a disappointment. We shared a chop salad, which was mostly radicchio, not chopped, and lacking enough dressing to make it even interesting. The bread was served sparingly and cold, with butter instead of oil and herbs, which was tasty, but - again - a disappointment at an 'upscale' Italian venue. I had the chicken parm, which was made in a pedestrian red sauce with obviously frozen chicken and too much cheese, served on spaghetti in a too small dish that made it precarious to cut and eat without difficulty. It was unremarkable and overpriced. We won't be returning to Pacci's.
Waited at the door for 10 minutes while multiple staff members walked by without being acknowledged or greeted. Our reservation was at 11 and come 11:10 and still no acknowledgement that we were standing at the door we decided to go somewhere else. I attempted 3 phone calls to cancel our reservation without the phone being answered. I am staying in the hotel and greatly disappointed that this was our experience at Pacci. I do feel it is important to note that there were only 3 tables in the main dining room while we were waiting. If a restaurant is busy I understand, but this felt like a complete lack of care and awareness.
Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious! Home made breads and hand made pastas, local produce, excellent drinks.
Pacci never disappoints.
Terrific scallops and risotto. Reasonable prices. Good bar. Definitely one of the best hotel meals I've had in a very long time.
