The pork belly baos & Brussels sprouts are too die for. The Tangerine man is a must for alcoholic drinks. The ambiance was great and the service was spot on. The Outposts never disappoints.

An eclectic menu, perhaps, but every dish we had was excellent!!! Especially loved ahi wrap and brussel sprouts. Spirited wait staff. A fun dinner!

We went for Sunday brunch on their outdoor patio and had a great time. The food was amazing and mimosa refills were only $1. The guitarist was great (although a tad loud to have conversation over).

Although the hostess who seated appeared to wish she was someplace else (who hasn’t when working a beautiful Saturday morning), the server more than made up for it. Unfortunately, I have lost the receipt with her name on it.

Knowledgeable and friendly, she made great recommendations regarding both food and cocktails. She took the time work with the bartender to make adjustments to an existing cocktail so my husband could enjoy one too.

The only thing that was truly disappointing was the very mediocre coffee. I’m grateful that the server knew it was the same coffee as the complimentary coffee served in the lobby, so we avoided it from experience.

We highly recommend the Fritter Benedict and the Sage cocktail along side it. The bartender will happily adjust the agave for you, if you prefer a less sweet drink.

Slow night at the Outpost. The live music was way too loud to have a conversation. The food and drinks were mediocre and overpriced. It wasn’t crowded but we received the check right after eating saying “looks like things are coming to an end here.” We just wanted to sit and talk after dinner, and it was clear that they wanted everyone to leave to close the bar.

Short staffed, poor service. Burned chicken sandwich, good fries and salad. Not enough guacamole and no salsa for that pricey appetizer. Nice ambiance. We won’t be returning.

thanks for the Thanksgiving dinner-out time .We were hesitant about dining out during COVID-19, but you did an exellent job dispelling fears. All the wait staff wore masks, the tables had more that 6 feet between and the guests were respectfully low key. the outside patio was warm and cozy. Food was plentiful and delicious and plated artfully.

Went with a friend and we both had the pork chop main course. The flavor was GREAT!

BUT... and this is a pretty big but... our waitress thought 'still pink' meant 'well done'!!! When we assured her it meant 'just slightly less than medium', she seemed to get it. But both of our pork chops were WELL, WELL done! Under normal circumstances, I would have sent it back. However, we were on our way to a concert, so did not have the time to wait for new chops to be cooked. It's a shame, because the flavors and the prep of the dish was fantastic.

The Outpost restaurant has delicious food and a cute beach ambience. The service was outstanding - everyone was so friendly and courteous! I have dined here a few times and loved every dish & cocktail. I will definitely be coming back for the phenomenal food and staff!

Our dining experience was both relaxed, efficient and delicious. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Our beverages and food arrived promptly but we did not feel rushed to free up the table. The chef was available to answer questions and for us to express our gratitude for his care in the creation of the seasonal menu. The new offering of a boneless, braised short rib was a masterpiece. The food was beautifully plated all around. And the pot de creme and carmelized apple sundae were the perfect end to a lovely meal. We will definitely be back and tell our friends about the hidden gem in Goleta.

We ate here early on New Year's Eve. I had requested a table for six, and upon arrival there was no table set up for six. We worked that out successfully with the Hostess. My only negative comment is regarding their "special drinks". Stay away from them--order what you normally like.
All of us enjoyed our meal. The best fulfilling appetizer was the Beet Salad. Their Steak Tartare is also excellent. The most negative was this non-alcoholic drink that had some weird berry addition in it. Yech!
Otherwise, our server Adam helped make it a pleasant meal. Try the fried carrot cake!--great.

We’ve dined here in the past a few times but recently they redecorated and the walls are too yellow and the lights are too bright. It’s a bit like eating in a hospital cafeteria but the food is very good.

Food and service was very good. Hope they expand their menu as it is small; but
small is better. Check their menu online before going so you know what they have.

I have been to this restaurant many times. Had many good experiences, but this last weekend was not one of them. TERRIBLE service (waited nearly 45 minutes for drinks). Kids running everywhere, chaos.
Tried to get a drink in the bar afterwards, and it was overrun with children. On a Saturday night!

We were greeted right after sitting down. Someone was always around to fill our glass of water. I enjoyed the wine and my friend liked the cocktails. The sauce on the brussel sprouts was so delicious! The fish was cooked very well and the skin was perfectly crispy. My friend really liked the sweet potatoes. I will definitely go back. Service was great.

They really fell flat on there face! We got seated right away and very welcoming, we sat for over 10 min. For a drink order or water brought to the table we had to ask for water. She finally took the drink order. We ordered our food after that food started coming out before the drinks came and came out separate and far apart. I went for salt and pepper and we only had pepper on table it was empty this was the am??? Had to chase her down for that then she brought only salt and no pepper had to ask for that. Finally got salt and pepper and then the chicken sausage never showed up had to ask 2 times for that. Then the bill came and there was drinks that was not ours and they never even took the meal off that was wrong and took forever. Service was very disappointing and unorganized
