Very nice ambience although a bit noisy where were were sitting which was near the open kitchen. Other areas may be less noisy. Service was great and the menu very eclectic and "foodie". Quality of food was great with very fresh farm to table vegetables. Prices a bit high but paying for location, and high quality food.
Wonderful dining experience! Try the duck confit.
It was a good overall experience with the service and food. The servers were very attentive and even had our drinks full every time it was low. Changed out plates whenever it was needed and also timing/pacing was good.
Spectacular food !!!!
Very convenient to the Broad Museum. The ambiance was hip and cool but our service was terrible. We were seated in the back room with two waiters and support staff. But our waiter although very professional just missed the boat. We asked for hot milk for our coffee it took 3 requests. I ordered the chicken tenders but the order was supposedly misplaced. The waiters were very busy looking very busy and management never once came through the room to check on us or any of the other parties. The main room was the focus of attention by management. It was odd.. Great food but make sure to tell them you want your fried egg's with the pancakes, we had to send them back to get reheated.
We've been before and the food and service were outstanding. This time our plates had very long stretches in between, they forgot a dish and our main was cold. Very bummed, we want Otium to succeed.
The service was atmosphere was outstanding. With the exception of one item, the food was fantastic! The problem was with the grilled fish. It was so salty that it was not edible. It was cooked perfectly and super moist, but so overly salted that it actually burned the mouth.
Went for brunch today on a weekend. It took them almost an hour to get our food.
The location for those who were in the Broad is amazing, interior is good. Food is so poor, never imagined we could pay those kind of money for such “dishes”. Lots of sauce, even hard to recognise the real ingredients.
I had heard very good things about Otium, so I went with 2 friends before the theater on Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was packed when we arrived. Good thing we had a reservation. We were seated at a great table in the back next to the windows. That's about where the good part ended. Our server was very slow to arrive at our table. Our drinks took 15 minutes to arrive. One of our dishes came out first, which I thought was odd. 10 minutes later, mine came out. Meanwhile the third plate was nowhere to be seen. we waited 20 minutes, then asked our server to have the Manager come over. She said it would be out shortly. When the hamburger did arrive, my friend said it was outstanding as was all of the food. Supposedly, they had just changed their menu and the kitchen was having trouble. At a restaurant of this caliber, that was completely unacceptable. The manager graciously comped our whole meal. Not sure I would go back, unfortunately.
My guests and I always love the restaurant. The food is full of surprises and the staff is ALWAYS superbly gracious.
Excellent service and great food. Sharing dishes were fantastic. The Tomahawk was fabulous.
Beautiful restaurant, great ambiance, and the food was very, very good. We had a wonderful experience dining at Otium.
We had brunch with friends from in and out of town. Was a very pretty location, even in a gray day. Service was attentive. Food was tasty.
The porttion size on their hamachi was microscophic, for a $19 appetizer. The rest of the food was only ok, a bit salty. Not good value for money.
Great vibe. Very friendly and knowledgable server. Food was of good quality and drinks were tasty. Fun pre-theatre scene.
Always consistent, great food, great service, never pretentious. Highly recommend!
Food was terrific! Sold more as family style (larger portions). We had brunch and highly recommend the chicken and waffles.
What a disappointment !!
As this was my favorite restaurant in the past, I booked both lunch and dinner.
Farro salad with salmon was a bowl full of farro with a few
Hard-to-find greens and cranberries. The salmon was a very small portion.
No creativity, little consideration of texture and balance.
Ordered duck. Was told it would take 30 minutes. Fine.
Instead it came in 1 minute, lukewarm with some unidentifiable cubes.
No decent vegetable or carb.
Sent it back and ordered pork chops.
Again, no green. It did come with spaetzle with horseradish which did not work.
Pork was 25 percent fat.
Naan was tasteless and seemed to have been fried.
Again, no balance or creativity.
Plating was a disaster.
