Oswego Grill - Kruse Way
Food was awesome, they had espresso challenges.
This is a favorite of ours. My wife has food concerns and allergies and she has found several safe choices which she enjoys. She will usually have a bison burger with its lean tasty meat with no fillers and they make their own preservative-free fries. She also likes their steaks and seafood items. It gets crowded but they are pros and handle it well. Noise is never overwhelming unless you have hearing issues. We like to bring friends here.
The food is great-I always get the Brussel Sorouts salad. My companions say the fish and other salads are also excellent. The restaurant itself is clean and decorated nicely, but it is dark, even when sitting near a window. I find the waitstaff attentive but not very warm (almost like they are disinterested.)
We really enjoyed our visit. The food was excellent and our server, Ashley T was a real pro. Timed our meal perfectly and knew the finer points of service. We are all life long restaurant people so we appreciate professional service.
We go there a lot to catch up. Everything was good as usual but I had the stuffed chicken and I was surprised by the portion size. It was about half of what it has been in the past but the same price. It was very good but not worth the price if that’s all they are going to give. Too bad.
Always consistent and the value is there. Server Ashley was outstanding!
We had a very good dinner, ribeye, beef tenderloins and Cajun halibut.
Service was top notch. Elliot really took care of us.
We love Oswego Grill and are regular customers. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff are professional and always friendly and helpful, and the food is great. The menu is diverse and reasonably priced. One of our favorite places!
Dining outside at Oswego Grill on a fine summer day with family & friends is a most enjoyable choice. Three of us in a party of four chose “seasonal” items from the lunch menu & all of us were very pleased with our meals.
We were very fortunate to have an early reservation... 4 pm on Sunday, June 30. Shortly after our order was in, they had a water pipe break - no water in the restrooms or kitchen. The servers were quick thinking. They filled up every water pitcher and bucket they could find until the water stopped flowing. Front of house staff quickly made signs to put on the doors apologizing for being closed, and saying why. They also started contacting everybody who had a reservation. How many places would bother? They REALLY do care about their customers, and it shows both in situations like this and just in general the way they handle customers. The few of us that were already there were served, and very gratiously, not like they had more pressing matters (which they obviously did). We were there for a special occasion - our 42nd anniversary. So many people came over to acknowledge our celebration, and to apologize for the situation. We were expecting a typical free dessert because of the occasion, but because of the issues, we each got to pick any dessert we desired from the dessert menu.
This is our second time there, and we WILL be returning. The only negative, which is an unfortunate society thing nowadays, unfortunately, is that one of our dishes, a risotto, contained hot peppers and the menu did not say one word about it being served that way. They graciously refired it without. A lot of people LIKE peppery heat. However, there are a LOT of people who cannot tolerate it. Restaurants used to include a little pepper symbol next to spicy hot items. I don't think it is asking too much to return to this standard.
I love eating here and have been for over 6 years on a pretty routine basis. I bring friends and family here. The only issue for me is the noise level. Best to go for early lunch or dinner when less crowed. Last time I was there I asked to be moved due to large party making a ton of noise. It’s been a growing issue.
Great service and the bread was very good!
My meal was good. The steelhead was a little on the dry side, but overall good. The wait staff was pleasant and tentative.
From the moment we walked in the door to the smiling, welcoming person at the door, the experience was great! I've been in here before, but the service on this day, just stood out. Our server, Angelica (Hope I got that correct) was awesome. On the spot on everything we needed, and anticipated what we needed next, without knowing. Thanks for the terrific business lunch experience. Can't wait to go back again!. Cheers, KM
Outstanding restaurant in all respects, food, service and surroundings. Been there a couple times in the past. Plan on more future visits and stops for lunch. We are very impressed.
This is our favorite restaurant for celebrating everything and also just to have a great meal.
It was unusually busy for a Thursday but we were put in a nice quiet corner by design because they knew it was our anniversary. This is a wonderful restaurant!
Very much the great service and the food is exceptional . This is one place we come back often.
We did have a few issues. with our order. The order was for my son who does not at all like mushrooms. Since the wait was long we did not want to reorder. The server said that her manager would be over to discuss but no one stopped by? At the end she asked if anyone came by and we told her no. She apologized and left it at that.
When it came to dessert we were looking forward the the lava cake but, was told it would take 20 additional minutes. Well we decided not to wait.
Had reservations for Father’s Day dinner, sat at our table for 10 1minutes before waiter/anyone came by to fill water or get drunk order, got an odd apology from our waiter- ordered at that time since we had so much time to look at our menus. Waited a good 40 minutes for good to come out- during that time one check in from waiter and another apology that the kitchen was slow but no offer of bread or something got snack on while we waited... Food was ok once it arrived, seemed like a couple dishes sat out while waiting for it all to be ready (dry cool pasta) but we were hungry and it wasn’t great - for the price of the special, it should have been. We were disappointed.
Was great food and service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I come here often and am usually very impressed
This time, however, was different
Risotto was crunchy
Waitress forgot to bring my wine
I never reminded her because I should not have to
Then she forgot to charge us for a soda and when we were ready to pay she said she would have to charge us more because she forgot...tacky
Hoping the next time is a better experience
The food was fantastic but the service quite slow, although very friendly.
As always, we had a great dinner. I appreciate accommodations being made for my vegan lifestyle.
We visited for the first time with out of town guests. The food was outstanding, a good value and service was very good. We will definitely return
Every thing was fine except they told my client that there was no reservation made and I do have a confirmation.
Took my mom for her birthday to Oswego Grill. Great food, as always. They gave her a really great banana split that was huuuuuge! I always enjoy going. We'll be back.
Very nice restaurant and great food, excellent attentive service. Great entrees and very tasty desserts. Highly recommended. Good value of fine dining at this price range.
Oswego Grill is our favorite restaurant!! And our go-to for special occasions and for happy hour!
Only thing better than the food was the outstanding service!
My friend and I both had the Ahi Poke bowl and it was outstanding. I would come back just to have that again. And then, we got a big sundae for my friend's birthday. It was delicious too and more generous than I expected.
We went there because we wanted somewhere with good food that would also be relaxing. We were not disappointed the food was fabulous; the service was awesome; and we were able to relax and have a delightful evening.
Great food and excellent service!!
We went right to our table. We were seated next to the kitchen Thus the added noise level. Otherwise everything was perfect. Had a good time as was a birthday and was gifted with a surprise yummy desert the everybody took part in. Good food and everyone had a great time. The service was outstanding and we were asked many times if we need anything.
First of all our server, Caitlin (Cate) was as excellent as a server could be. She was warm, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about each item and it’s preparation. My wife loves Salmon and they had four or five different salmon presentations. Cate described each one in detail so that my wife could decide. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip served with taco chips and perfectly toasted and seasoned bread slices. My wife had the stuffed salmon andI had the halibut. Both were outstanding. They offered a Brancott Sauvignon Blanc, that is one of my wife’s favorites. I had a very large Absolut, very dry martini, on the rocks that was perfectly made and quite hefty for the price. We were passing through Lake Oswego on our way back east and am disappointed that we will probably never have the opportunity to dine there again.
Excellence service and amazing food.
Slow to seat us with no one in front of us. Slow for server to appear. Slow delivery of drinks or water requested. Rice pilaf al dented or just plain undercooked. Salmon sent back as flesh was cold to touch and raw in appearance in center of thin filet. Dessert promised more than it delivered (and were both big fans of Farrell’s which we visited repeatedly when it was still around). Disappointing since we selected it over other high performing options in the area
We had a great dinner at Oswego Grill. A party of 5, everyone found something that appealed to them on the varied menu. The salmon on the salmon tacos was cooked perfectly, cocktails were yummy, and the service was excellent.
Our server was fun and engaging, playing right along with our silliness. The food was great as always.
Our waitress Alison was amazing. However there was a mishap in the kitchen and my meal arrived later then my friend. So she was finished eating by the time I got my meal. But once again our waitress was fantastic!
We have gone here for a long time- it seems to have gone down hill from when we started. I had the same menu selection as I had previously ordered- it was not good- tough meat-what there was of it. The baked potato was fine as the carrots. Slow service- air conditioned to the point of freezing-which we requested they turn down twice. They did that for a bit and then turned it back on. This is from jerry’s Wife. I would probably not go back. This was a special occasion which you were informed of- the booth was very crowded for four of us and we are not big people
