    Food was good. Basically service was totally "absent". Server took our order. Never saw him again til time for bill. Entree came out too early. Had hardly started appetizer when entree came. Wanted another round of drinks but server never came by to ask about food or more beverages. I went inside to bar and got our drinks from bartender myself. Guess this was partially a self serve restaurant? Too bad as hotel is lovely.

    Our third time in a couple of years. The first time we went here it was wonderful. The second time we had to have part of our meal comped. It was somewhere in between this time Nothing has changed much, needs some updating. Server was very nice but mediocre attentive. Two of us needed on meal warmer and some flavor added, the server never came back to table in a timely way in time to check. it was almost empty and the timing was a bit slow

    I took my wife to Ostra for our anniversary. We were greeted with complimentary champagne, outstanding service, and some of the best food we have ever had. This restaurant surpassed our expectations, and if you're looking for an elegant rrestaurant with delicious food I highly recommend it.

    I have to admit I didn't check reviews prior to eating at Ostra, but I had expectations that it would be decent as it is in an Omni Hotel. I realized, upon arrival, that there were very few patrons in the restaurant; not a good sign. My husband is in a wheelchair, and it was difficult entering the restaurant from the hotel, and the staff didn't really know how to help. Our server was super sweet, but woefully inexperienced, and fairly unfamiliar with the menu. We asked for sparkling water to start, and all they had were tiny cans of "soda water" which we were charged $5.00 per can. Quite pricey for no name seltzer! We then decided to order the mussels, and when they arrived they forgot to provide a bowl to put the discarded shells in. The mussels were very tasty, but again quite pricey for the 15 or so we got. They were accompanied with french fries, that were luke warm and limp. We were fairly disappointed by this time, but decided to try the 2g of Osetra caviar. We expected it to arrive on a small blini with some garnishing, but they presented it to us in a small dish, with no crackers, or anything to eat it on, and certainly ungarnished. Ridiculous. There are some wonderful restaurants in San Antonio, but this isn't one of them.

    Staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Halibut was excellent as well as the Shrimp cocktail. The fragrance in the hotel was very soothing… reminiscent of favorite hotel in Cabo. We ate outside along the river walk. The spray mist kept the heat at bay.

    The food over-all was poor to fair. The Tuna Tartar was room temperature and should have been well chilled. The Linguine with clams was over cooked and starchy. The waiter/bartender could not make a simple apple martini. My replacement entre was the Redfish and it was very salty.

    The food was great. We were before the dinner rush. I can’t remember our waiter’s name but he said he had been there the longest. I think it Mark or Mike. He was great. We stayed and talked a long time. He was attentive yet patient with us and very friendly. I highly recommend Ostra and will be going back.

    Food was great, I would definitely recommend the grilled ahi tuna Everyone in the staff was friendly and very nice but service was so slow. We waited 15mins for drinks, our appetizers took almost 30mins to be brought up. The food was worth the wait I just hope it hadn’t taken that long

    Completely dead 7pm on a Saturday. They forgot my entree. My family practically finished all of theirs before anyone came to check on us. When I did finally get my food, it was burnt and way over cooked. Tasted awful. Inedible. Manager did not stop by, we had to flag him down. He thought taking off my entree and oysters would make up for it, but he never came to check back on us. Terrible experience. Spent $120+ on a horrible Dinner. Do not go back! It was empt for a reason!

    I wish I could give it five stars but there were just some misses. Service very polite accommodating staff but the timing between checkups was long and painful. Our server did make up for it a little as I needed to charge my phone before we continued our night and she totally came through for that. Shishito peppers I thought could've been charred a little more. Oysters DELISH! Cesar salad didn't know the anchovies are not in the dressing (I like but my husband does not) Drinks ok nothing spectacular.

    Loved the food and how wonderful the service was. Went for Mother’s Day breakfast and got the pancakes and blueberry & sage sausage. It was delicious and they even gave me a rose before I left for Mother’s Day. Definitely recommend.

    I was there for my birthday. The hostess was kind and she gave me a nice outdoor table facing to the River Walk. Ordered a cocktail (good) and wasn’t sure what to order as I wasn’t hungry much. The server recommended scallops with rice noodles in curry sauce. I was missing some Asian flavor. It was good but scallops were very salty. I don’t know why they put too much salt. Otherwise good. Very nice atmosphere and very romantic place. They offered me a slice of cheese cake.

    We dined there for our anniversary and they were so kind. They gave us a beautiful outdoor table and a special dessert for our anniversary. The food was spectacular. We started out with the ceviche and it was very fresh and served with some delicious tostada chips. We shared the Burrata and Arugula salad and it was one of the best salads I have ever had. I ordered the Linguine and Clams as my entree and it was very flavorful, so good that my husband finished it after he ate his entree of Redfish. We shared the Brussel sprouts and I cannot go on enough about the flavor. Amazing!! Our server, Rebekah, was so sweet and was excellent at describing some of the dishes to us when we were trying to decide what to order. We will definitely go back.

    Location on the Riverwalk was excellent. Food was pricey and disappointing. Potatoes in breakfast bowl weren’t even warm and appeared to have been made long ago. Avocado toast was bland on uninteresting bread. Service was slow and inattentive.

    Wonderful Oysters! The best by far in the San Antonio area especially downtown. We enjoyed sitting on the Ostra patio before a show at the Empire. We had drinks and oysters and a wonderful crab cake. It was excellent and the oysters were huge. We are coming back and I highly recommend!
