My friend and I had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant. We were able to visit for quite a long time without feeling rushed. The food was very nice and very tasty.
Family in town - always the best!
Every time we go to Osterio Divino it really seems to get better! We've been several times over the past few years and really enjoy the ambiance of an old world cafe with music starting around 8:00PM the Saturday evening we were there. I could just hang out at the bar all night after dinner! Great place!
The four of us met for Mother's Day brunch -- 2 from the Bay Area, 2 from Wine Country. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The food was well prepared and healthy. It was a bit cramped and noisy, but we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back.
Great place to have dinner. There is live music on Fri and possibly Sat nights.
The service was very good. We had a great time. Loved having live music. Nice, intimate setting. A little loud. I had the squid ink pasta. It was good, but a little heavy on the sage. The chocolate cake was delish and very rich. We were glad we shared it. Such a nice night out.
Visiting from out of town with my spouse and found this gem of a restaurant tucked on a side street with a few other restaurants, away from the more common tourist destinations. The food was authentic Italian cuisine, well prepared and delicious. The portions were large so keep that in mind when ordering. Great outdoor, side walk seating for people watching. The live jazz trio that night was excellent.
Food was good. Pasta perfectly al dente, but no salt in the water so pretty bland. Branzino was good, but relied on lots of butter and garlic. Service was nice, room is simple but cute.
Delicious food as usual. Love the fresh pasta! We came as a book club and it worked fairly well, although the decibel level notched up gradually the longer we sat there. For this purpose, or any situation where you have more than 4 people who would all like to hear each other's comments, an early dinner is best.
I love this restaurant. Great food.. wonderful people. There is noise but it’s a good kind, because of the great music and people trying to speak over it.
Hands down our favorite regular “go to” restaurant in Sausalito. Love the food, service, wine, and regular nightly entertainment.
We were pleasantly surprised that there was a jazz trio playing in this restaurant when we walked in. The service was very casual and friendly. Meals and wine were very good. And the price is right. I wish I live near and could come to the bar to listen to the jazz while sipping wine and eating small bites on weekday nights.
Was not real familiar with Sausalito but read the reviews and gave it a try. It was a little after the lunch rush but service still very good. Between the two of us, we had the tortellini soup, salad and a panini. All were very good and I would order them again. Kind of has the feeling of a nice European cafe. Nice and relaxing and a good spot to have a conversation. Off the main strip and reasonably easy to find a parking place too.
As always, we enjoy the music! Having a piano player at brunch was really nice. The food was really good for the most part. My only slight disappointment was the polenta with egg and veggies... it could have been a little more interesting, with brighter seasoning and more veggies. Otherwise really good food, loved the ricotta pancakes. Delicious mimosas with fresh orange juice.
This is one of the best Italian Restaurants in Marin! Small, cozy, fun, and the live music adds the perfect environment! You need to get a table in the front room or at the Bar to enjoy the music though.
Great food and good wine, live band on Fridays, a delightful experience overall.
The live jazz music was nice bonus along with the delicious food
We had a great time - food was tasty (Mussels - YUM!), atmosphere warm, music perfect, wine list - inspiring. Best of all, my drivers license fell out of my pocket and they called me to tell me- love service that goes the extra mile! We will be back!
Mediocre food. Ambiance ok. Bartender unfriendly. Would not return
Though food is good, for some reason the place is not appealing at all. Very few people, just ok service. I think it´s easy to get something similiar in Sausalito with a better vibe.
The live piano is really nice and the meals is delicious
Found this restaurant on line and wanted to try it.
Reviews were excellent and the food was very good
Good prices too. But I thought the tiny place could use a
little redecorating to make it a more vibrant environment.
Off the beaten path but a good meal.
Waitress was busy ... she was rough around the edges... a bit brusque.
Food quality was inconsistent which was the reason for the 3 stars. The bread was good, starters of soup and salad good; crab ravioli - pasta great, crab meat itself salty. entrees - one was good but the scallop dish was disappointing. 4 scallops on a bed of greens. scallops pretty standard. the problem was parts of the greens were very salty - as if the chef had taken a pinch of salt and sprinkled directly over the greens, so where the salt landed was the salty mouthful!
lastly, we ordered what we thought were lemon cookies. what arrived was ONE smaller than the size of a quarter cookie. probably because it looked so pathetic on the plate, another one by half inch lemon tasting covered toffee/caramel? (which we didn't like) item was on the plate. it cost $6! overall prices on the high side.
Early Valentine's Day dinner - it did not disappoint. Appreciated the live music and that we were in a room that we could still have a quiet romantic dinner.
I've eaten here for brunch many times but never went for dinner. It was wonderful! Great food, wine and service. Excellent jazz music. Its a quaint, cozy place. Its our new favorite. Will return again and again.
Overpriced. The food is not authentic Italian food. The rice I had was way too spicy and not cooked like a proper arborio rice, it was missing the correct mantecatura. Grains were disconnected. My husband had a pasta dish and he was also very unsatisfied with the cooking of the pasta, it tasted like wine instead of vongole, seems like the wine was not evaporated correctly from the pan.
Sehr laut, eine Unterhaltung ist kaum möglich. Live-Band zusätzlich laut.
Love it more every time we go. Welcoming atmosphere with the best food, service and entertainment. Can't say enough good things.
Best little local Bistro. Full of atmosphere. Food is delicious. Service is over the top. Music is always fantastic!
Elena and the staff were so attentive and it was obvious they knew the locals and took care of them. Really amazing ambiance and live music.
This restaurant is our Sausalito favorite. Their live music is delightful but don't think you'll be able to have dinner table conversation easily if you're eating in the bar. Food was fresh and well seasoned with CA cuisine take on the Italian fare. In the summer, we love to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance of Caledonia Street.
Excellent everything!
Dinner was delicious, service was excellent. Each of us enjoyed different meals Added value was singer doing jazz standards. LIghting was romantic and pleasant.. Lovely evening.
romantic, local sausalito crowd, wonderful live jazz and blues music on weekends! Great service
I felt like I was in a intimate New York City jazz club! It was a very, very enjoyable experience with good food, wine, and company. The ambiance had a good vibe, and it looked like all of the patrons were enjoying themselves too - lots of smiles, hugs, and kisses! Tis the season!!!
we love this place. Good food , service and friendly patrons. music and conversation with other patrons. this is a special place.
We loved sitting at the bar, listening to live jazz in the cozy dining room, chatting with the excellent bartender and eating some delicious appetizers and pasta. We'll be back!
The energy in here is always spectacular!! I love that they are always buying local produce & have the best specials. Per usual-my food was delicious.
Came here for a dinner with a friend on a Tuesday night at 6. We had a table in the back room so we could talk. But this is not the place to talk as the music / room acoustics are always loud. Fun spot to listen to live music and have a glass of wine though. Food wise - the meal was average for the price. Burrata was served too cold for my taste and arugula was limp; linguini and clams were average and the shrimp appetizer was drowned in heavy tomato sauce. And the service wasn’t great for such a small space. We asked that each dish be served one at a time. The linguini came way too fast and when we asked our server to hold off, the plate returned cold so we had to send it back. Our wine glasses sat empty for over 10 mins despite twice asking for a refill. Been here twice before and had a better experience so maybe just an off night, but overall I always come away feeling the food could be better given the price, and it’s hard to have a conversation.
