Wow how did we know about this place? You feel like you are in a small Italian restaurant in Italy. We cannot wait to go back. It's a bit expensive but worth it. Everything is so delicious. A++++

Osteria Divino is sadly no longer amazing. It was good, but not great. Divino has been a favorite spot for my wife for 20 years and we have always made a point to visit when in town. Though our favorite lasagna, tiramisu, and other items are still offered, the portions are now smaller, more expensive and don’t taste as good. For example, the tiramisu was much smaller at a higher price. The restaurant is unique in its live music experience though note you may be dining with another table inches away (it’s crowded, though we didn’t mind). The staff was a great as always.

First the negatives: I made reservations for three & specifically asked for the table the very closest to the music, as we were going there specifically to hear the jazz trio playing that night~ We got there early and asked for the table closest to the musicians but they refused to give it to us even after we explained that had been requested in our reservation~They seated us several tables back in the bar section~The whole place is very noisy & as noted in many other reviews...EXTREMELY DARK!~ Black walls, extremely dim lighting, tiny little" lamps" on the tables that give out about as much light as a Xmas tree light bulb!~ We had to use the flashlights on our cell phones to read the menu!~ ~Now for the Good News:.... The entire team of servers were extremely courteous, attentive, accommodating & fast, all working together as a seamless & very efficient team!~ 5 stars for them!***** .... Everything we ordered was fabulously delicious & the portions were quite ample.... All in all , except for the issues above, we really enjoyed our meal & thoroughly enjoyed the jazz band playing there~

The music is also beyond compare in the Bay Area or anywhere else for that matter!! As far as noice Level you can eat outside or in the cozy back area for a quiet experience!’ This space is wonderful and relax and your time !!

We really enjoyed our dinner last night at Osteria Divino. It really seemed like a neighborhood favorite, not a place that is there to cater to tourists. Knowing that we would want to talk, I asked for a table away from the jazz trio that was performing, and the back room fit the bill. Our server was really efficient, but there was a slight backup in the kitchen. However, the food was great. I really enjoyed my saltimbocca and the desserts. Our favorites were the affogato and the ice cream with brandied fruit. My friend said that the lasagna, while delicious, looked a little sad - it was just a square on a plate. That was remedied when the server brought him a side of the wonderful mixed veggies. I would definitely recommend Osteria Divino!
