We’ve dined at ORO a few times, have ordered ~20 different menu items, and have never been disappointed with a single dish. The food is inventive and loaded with flavor, and the ambience is sophisticated and elegant. ORO never disappoints, and the bill is always lower than I expect. Fantastic!
Creative fun food to share with lots of gluten free and vegan or vegetarian option. Quiet, friendly and tasty
Great service, great food. I took a friend to ORO from out of town. I will definitely go again.
Extremely rude and unpleasant waitress. Food was okay but not worth the price at all. fun fancy drinks but thats it. Food timing was awful and couldn't get drink orders right. Then waitress irritated when asked for a lime wedge...come on.
Wont go back.
Get the smoking mirror drink.
We selected this restaurant since we had never eaten here, it was restaurant week, and we were celebrating a birthday. The beet salad was wonderful, but the shrimp tempura looked like miniature shrimp. The main meals were so small that sharing was quite difficult. While the strip steak was cooked perfectly, there were only two small slices of meat. The trout was about the same size and not very flavorful. The desserts were yummy, with the apple tart surpassing the donuts. However, for the cost of the meal, I not only left very unsatisfied, but there was no mention of the birthday, even thought it was in the reservation notes and mentioned again when they called to confirm. With all the amazing restaurants in the Raleigh area, I will not be giving this one a second chance.
Extremely noisy. Acoustic should be improved. Overpriced for the quality of the food . Waitress put our friend’s dish on our bill. Feels like a customer conveyer belt.... leave quick that we can serve others .
We had great service that was efficient yet not intrusive. Our server was fantastic. I wish that I could remember her name. The food was uniquely prepared and was a delight with every bite.
The staff and decor was lovely but the food was completely uninspired. Each dish lacked a full flavor profile and left me so unsatisfied that the food might as well have been transported into my stomach. When I ordered a mock tail I got what tasted like straight pineapple juice. When I expressed dissatisfaction they made my second drink the same thing but watered down. I wished I had just stayed home a cooked for myself.
We went for Restaurant Week menu which was different from items on regular menu. The food was good and attractively served. We enjoyed the taste of our dishes. The noise level was so high that you could not talk to those at the same table. We must come back for the regular menu items.
As usual, the food was amazing and the service was excellent!
The food and service was very nice just a little loud
Oro is always on the top of my list for a fun dinner with friends. We happened to go during restaurant week and got a great 3 course meal for $30. Cocktails were amazing and put in very creative containers.
Went with friends for restaurant week. This was my first experience at Oro. Food was good, not great. Steak was barely warm, but did have nice flavor. Server was highlight of meal.
Their Restaurant Week menu finally pulled us in. Really good food and, unlike some small plate place, two plates made a filling meal. The food was really tasty and visually pleasing; service awesome. We also like they didn't bring everything at once (again like some other small plates places) and our server explained the way the usually run (i.e. when it is not restaurant week) is you order each round of food separately so you can control the pace. Only knock is wine by the glass is on the pricey side and my husband ordered a martini, not expecting it would be a $17 drink!! Hence the lower value rating.
We went during restaurant week. The first thing the server said as she handed us the menus is 'our restaurant week menu is the exact opposite of our regular menu.' So I guess we shouldn't base future visits on this one. Overall the food was OK. There was nothing really exceptional. Pro is a tapas restaurant, so having a set 3 course menu is not the norm. We had 2 of the 3 app offerings, both were OK. They weren't bad but they didn't make us want to rush back. Main course was sirloin, not on the regular menu. It was good, there was a spice I couldn't place that threw me off just a bit, my wife liked it. The desert was a pear strudel that tasted pretty bland, hard to identify it as pear, and a tin drop of vanilla ice cream.
Not in a rush to return, if we do it won't be during restaurant week.
Amazing food and dining experience!! Smoke & Mirrors, YES Please
We had a great time. The service was great and food came out pretty quick and all was delicious. Definitely would go back
Went to Oro during restaurant week. 8oz New York strip steak was great. They sous-vide then sear. The smoke and mirror Manhattan was wonderful presentation and (of course) delicious. Will definitely recommend and return.
Wonderful...just wonderful! Food was amazing! Service excellent! Will return again...and SOON!
Fun time at restaurant week at Oro! Food was great!
Our entire experience was lovely from being greeted at the hostess station to our witty and knowledgeable server, to the excellent food.
So Delish with exotic cocktails. Our waiter,Corey, was fantastic and made the evening extra fun. The chef/owner came to our table and gave us all.a,glass of bubbly! I sent other friends last night & they said it's their new favorite spot!
This restaurant had Magnificat food, dining, and atmosphere!!!!! The food was sooooo good and the wine was so great!!!!
Standard martinis - one dry and one dirty = $17 each! Check for 4 martinis wast over $70! Food was decent (not really terrific - filet was extremely small) and service was nice, but those drinks were way way overpriced. I live in The SF Bay Area and was expensive even compared to SF standards. Obviously why the place was empty the 2.5 hours we were there.
8 of us went for a birthday. The service was perfect, the food was great, and they made us feel so welcome and special.
The smoke and mirrors cocktail- an unbelievable presentation!
A make your own s’mores dessert tray that was fun AND delicious!
Best grilled octopus dish ever!
Great place for a date or casual. I’ve only been there for business meetings but am definitely looking forward to a “date night” there with wife and friends:
Oro was fantastic in every way! Our service was impeccable and the meal was delicious!!
Oro has become a part of the itinerary every time I get to Raleigh. Food is great and the service is very good.
This is one of the loudest restaurants I've ever been to. The food wasn't bad, but not good enough to overcome the atmosphere.
Loved it! The experience was worth it, and the food was excellent. I will be returning!
We had the best brunch at Oro’s. We truly enjoyed the entire meal. We have had dinner as well and have recommended them to friends!
We had a wonderful experience at ORO! The food was absolutely delicious and we loved the tapas style of eating and sharing! The restaurant is simple and lovely and, we were surprised to find that it wasn’t crowded. Don’t miss the Brussels sprouts or the salmon!
Food and service are both amazing every time! Location is perfect; parking lot across the street made it easy to get to. Love this place.
This was our second time to Oro, and a much better food experience this go round. I highly recommend, from the current menu, the wok fried brussels, calamari, salmon, as well as the grilled octopus. My girlfriend also highly enjoyed her "Rosé All Day" cocktail.
Very friendly, relaxed service and comfortable seating with soothing ambience. Food was interesting and nicely presented. Portions suitable for two. Smoke and mirrors cocktail was presented in a glass case with smoke to infuse the drink. A fun meal.
Fabulous experience. Ask for Cory.
Our first time here. My wife and I were seated upstairs all by ourselves, not sure why when there was plenty of seats in the main seating area. The food was very good, they bring it out as soon as it is ready, so that's a little bit different, but it was good and hot when it got to the table. Try it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
At this price level I don’t expect frozen Calamari. Why bother with Opentable if you don’t get points.
The portions are pretty big for a Tapas restaurant. Loved the Brussels sprouts!
