We each look forward to welcoming you to Oriole.
What Insiders Are Saying
Oriole is a fancy and expensive tasting menu restaurant that’s great for a special occasion.
We went here to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday, and Oriole did not dissapoint. Every dish was fantastic and the service was 5 stars and beyond. Every element of your diner is tastefully done and you leave planning your next dinner here. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely wonderful experience from the minute you walk in the door till you are leaving!!!
excellent, cozy, sophisticated yet very casual fine dining.
Outstanding cuisine & experience deserving of 2 Stars - Well worth the splurge!
Staff were amazing, made a fuss over my friends birthday but so genuine. We were travelling from overseas and honestly this restaurant is right up there. I’ll be planning my next trip to Chicago just to dine again.
Food was also amazing as was both wine pairings... the only criticism we had was that we felt slightly rushed. We had a late booking but it should not matter if the time is accepted. That said this place is sensational and would recommend to anyone.
A big thank you to the team at Oriole! Might see you next year.
Oriole was over the top fantastic! The atmosphere, the food, the staff was an unbelievable experience. Can’t say enough about the evening.
This was my 10th time there. Every time I have been delighted, and have left looking forward to my next visit. While I am publicly hoping that Noah, Cara, and the rest of the excellent staff pick up their well-deserved third star, I am secretly hoping they don’t so that I can still get an occasionally available reservation. Go now before you can’t.
Easily one of Chicago’s best. Every course is perfect.
Oriole is our favorite special occasion place in Chicago. The service is impeccable, the food is exquisite. It well deserves its Michelin Stars.
Absolutely incredible. The food is amazing. Some of the best dishes I’ve ever had and I say that having had 20+ high end tasting menus around the world. While the crazy flair of say Albea, isn’t there as much, the quality and flavors of the food are even higher.
The staff knew it was our anniversary and even gave us a card signed by all, even Chef Noah. He and his wife were very engaged all evening and very personable.
I can’t recommend enough.
Best meal we have ever had. Everything from food to service to pairings (non alcoholic and wine) were just amazing.
Best restaurant in the city! Impeccable service. Outstanding food. Can’t wait to return!
Absolutely amazing! I was so impressed with how they catered to my dairy allergy- even the stuff that needed modified looked very similar to my boyfriends. The other 2 Star Michelin restaurants in Chicago were unable to accommodate a dairy allergy which was part of the reason we chose Oriole. You will not be disappointed by dining at Oriole!
An exceptional restaurant in all areas - food was outstanding and presented in a beautiful manner. All staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable about each dish. The non-alcoholic beverage pairings were also excellent.
Great food. Unusually good service and friendly staff. The tasting menu is definitely worth the price. The wine pairing is a little over priced.
Well developed and thoroughly thought out menu. Like reading a story with your tongue. Jaw dropping flavors. Perfectly seasoned food. Needed absolutely nothing. Blown away.
Even if your expectations are high, Oriole will exceed them.
A true gem in Chicago.
We absolutely loved this place, came as strong recommendation from friends we trust . By all means it’s special occasion place and everything is superb . The food is probably one of the best experiences I have had , we try to do this level restaurantsfew times per year so we have been to most Chicago spots of this or similar kind , that being said most of them deserve their respectable reputation but Oriole could be my favorite . Go there and enjoy !
Amazing experience. The attention to detail in the food was incredible, but the service might have even been more impressive. Thank you Oriole.
Lovely. Small & intimate. Impeccable but friendly staff. And flawless food.
Wine pairing was perfect. The caviar, the fish and the oysters were exquisite. and the pasta with the truffles and the foie gras were mind blowing. Amazing experience worth every penny!
Best restaurant experience in Chicago (have to been to Alinea, Acadia, Grace, Next). Every course was very well executed and very well composed. The only minor negative was the service - our server didn't match the overall excellency of the experience.
Will not be surprised if the third star is awarded in the next 2 years.
I find this an oddly romantic destination, which is ironic since the decor revels in its warehouse origins.
Exceptional in every way!
Excellent food and service, innovative and great wine pairings.
Great entry and seating. Outstanding food; felt satiated not full at end. Courses a bit rushed at first until we slowed it down a bit. Good wine pairings. Very knowledgeable on their food and wines.
This restaurant is definitely deserves a 5 Star award. It is the epitome of fine dining. Chef Sandoval
All aspects of Oriole are mind-blowing. The service, food, and decor were all next level. I have never, and might never again, have a dining experience quite like this.
Oriole definition: An intimate, pleasing atmosphere made superior by impeccable service and exquisite food presented lovingly and tastefully. Not a place to eat, but a place to dine in the truest sense of the word. An exquisite dining experience and a marvelous way to spend the evening from the moment you arrive until the time you depart. A sensory experience! Yummmm!
So for perspective, I have not only dined in most of the Michelin star, 1 - 3 star, restaurants in the U.S. but I have also dined internationally at a lot of the world's best three Michelin star restaurants overseas. These include Eleven Madison Park, Guy Savoy, Central, Osteria Francescana, among many other world renowned restaurants.
Oriole was amazing and astonishing to say the least. The complexity and boldness of flavor, yet still balanced, of the courses was exemplary. I could go through the menu course by course but there really is no need as every course was exquisite, beautifully presented, and memorable. The non-alcoholic pairing was and is a brilliant, inspired, and innovative idea. But even a brilliant idea has to still be executed properly, and it absolutely was perfect.
This restaurant has absolutely reset the bar for 3 Michelin star dining in Chicago (e.g. far surpasses Alinea) and the U.S. Don't be fooled by Oriole's hidden offbeat location or its unpretentious atmosphere. This is a very serious contender in the 3 Michelin star world. Dine at this restaurant while you can still get reservations because it is inevitable that a third Michelin star is forthcoming. A mere three days after dining here, I immediately made a reservation for the first available date in October. Oriole now joins the elite list of my favorite restaurants worldwide including Eleven Madison Park, Guy Savoy, Central, Osteria Francescana among a few others.
Easily the most expensive meal I will ever eat... but damn if it wasn’t worth it! The experience begins when finding the building with nothing ostentatious, tucked away in an alley! Enter the big door into a small room, then open a freight elevator type door and the magic unfurls. Everyone in the building is there for you and their knowledge and detail to service is impeccable! The menu offers up tastes from the farthest reaches of the world - places I doubt I’ll ever get to. And the accompanying spirits guide the way! Truly a fantastic experience for our 13th anniversary and we feel blessed to have found this hidden treasure!
I loved most of their courses! I usually don’t like Uni but their salmon & uni nigiri dish was amazing. The service was attentive to detail and friendly. I dropped a napkin under the table and someone got me a new one! Other people usually don’t notice. Overall, we enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner. Thank you Oriole team!
The prix fixe menu and wine pairings were outstanding with layers of flavors and attention to presentation. Our server was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable about the dishes and ingredients. It was a memorable way to celebrate an anniversary. With two Michelin stars, Oriole lives up to its reputation with a commiserate price point. For people who are adventuresome and looking for a stellar dining experience. Kudos to the sommelier who was happy to talk about the wines and why they were selected. Expect to spend $510 including tax and tip, excluding wine and other beverages
Absolutely outstanding service! Great food.
Loved how everything was kept secret until they were presented to the table.
It was an awesome dining experience!
The food was prepared and served elegantly; the wait staff was very attentive; a must for special ocassions.
Amazing! This restaurant achieves excellence at all levels.
This is probably the best high-end restaurant in Chicago. We’ve been to them all. Here you will experience the highest quality ingredients, meticulously prepared and presented. We’ve done all the deconstructed foods, and find this so superior. For us, in the final analysis it is about the taste, not the show. The service is comfortable while being highly professional. This is a must do for anyone who truly loves to eat. Well worth the price.
This was my fourth time. I think it is the best dining experience in Chicago. Fantastic!
So looking forward to this dinner since the family couldn’t stop talking about it ever since the last visit more than a year ago. But this time both food and service are just average.
