                                                                            We both ordered the cioppino on the Italian dinner for two and the swordfish was overcooked and inedible. We would have ordered the short ribs if we had known it was shitome in the cioppino. The waiter said that many guests had complained about the shitome and that they were going to discontinue ordering this fish.

                                                                            Roy’s service, food, and views are always reliable and wonderful. Never had a bad meal here. A nice neighborhood restaurant, but also a special occasion restaurant (no matter when you go, you’ll see people with leis).

                                                                            Great service by Matthew. The Hawaiian martini and Lycee sakitini hit the spot. Really enjoyed the Tasting Menu and the Shutome. Both so Ono and broke da mouth. Wonderful attention and a relaxed dinner.

                                                                            We’ve taken multiple trips to Honolulu over the past couple of years and Roy’s was not only the single best meal but also the best service we’ve ever experienced. I’ve been fortunate enough to dine at top restaurants across the world and our experience last night was one we will never forget. Thank you Roy’s!

                                                                            We have celebrated birthdays for 10 years at this location and have booked in advanced for a window table. They placed us next to the bar and away from the windows. We were disappointed and it wasn’t until a table by the window was finished and we ask our server if we can move. They did accommodate our request this time and the meal and service was great. Overall we will not be going back.

                                                                            It's been a while since we last dined here and the price seems to have gone up as the portions seemed to get smaller, but still as delicious as ever. Service was quick and friendly as usual here. The one downside is the dessert menu has been scaled back and is very limited. Overall a great experience though and highly recommend. The blackened ahi is awesome.

                                                                            Our initial impression was bad - hostess was rude and our request for a special table for our special event was ignored. A manager noted our displeasure however and made sure we received better treatment. This was not our first time here so we were surprised by the initial treatment. The food was outstanding and the chef was agreeable to fixing a vegetarian entree for me that used to be on the menu but was no longer.
