Oregon Electric Station
As always, the food and service is among the best. We sat by the fireplace on a cold night to have wine and food prior to attending a play. My wife had the grilled salmon and I had the fish tacos, Both were very tasty but the salmon was excellent. We even came back after the play for a glass of port and warmth.
Amazing night at my favorite Eugene spot!! Highly recommend!!
I often book Oregon Electric Station for work dinners. On this particular night, I had originally thought we'd have just a small party. But when my RSVP list kept growing, they were so gracious and flexible. We ended up in our own private room. The server was incredibly attentive, the whole staff was helpful during the set up, and of course the food was wonderful. We had a fantastic experience, and I'm so happy I chose Oregon Electric Station.
We were having dinner before an event at the Hult Center. We ordered lighter meals in an attempt to finish in a timely manner. Our waitress was outstanding: she made good suggestions, brought wine and meal without rushing us and came with our bill when we asked. My son arrived late due to football game, his beer arrived promptly. She got a great tip!
Great location amazing interior design on the conversion of the space from train station to restaurant / bar. Food was alright but a little expensive for the quality and amount you get . Service was good waiters were attentive. Great place to impress out of town guest or a date. Would certainly recommend dinning here at least once to see if you like it we did and I would go back on a special occasion for sure !!
Husband ordered Medium temperature hamburger. Hamburger was definitely rare and not cooked medium. Meat was mushy closer to raw. Sent it back. It came back looking exactly the way he had sent it back to kitchen with cut bun, lettuce, etc... Meat wasn't warm when it came back to table. He picked at it but really didn't feel comfortable eating it and server did comp it off the bill. Have been here before, like the location and ambience, but not sure if we will return.
Great food and excellent service. Our party all had our lunch menu favorite... crab melt sandwich... and we're not disappointed.
We took my 8 year old grandson there for his birthday and he loves trains, so we sat in a dining car. Service was wonderful, the atmosphere was enjoyable and the dinner was delicious. My only complaint is the menu is too eclectic for my taste - I'm more a traditional eater and I only found the prime rib with mashed potatoes and a vegetable to be more my taste. I love seafood but I enjoy simple ingredients and just couldn't pick any of the options except for the crab cakes which I've had before. I get it that people coming there and paying high prices want something different, but I want to know what I'm eating. Others in the party felt the same way and most of us had steak or prime rib or hamburgers. I wish you had at least 1 simple fish dinner like a baked cod or something like a baked shrimp or scallop dinner. Don't worry we'll be back, the beef was delicious and my grandson truly enjoyed his free dessert for his birthday!
The food was great and the service wasn’t awful. But In my opinion if I go eat an expensive nice meal I’d prefer if my server isn’t wearing a jersey. If that’s what I want I’ll just go to Taylor’s. They make a mean burger.
Great food and first rate service. A wonderful fine dining experience from appetizer to dessert. The steaks and scallops were perfectly cooked and delicious.
Food and my waitress was great but the hoestests and food servers are very rude and snotty. They definitely ruined my first experience. We waited awhile for our food and drinks.
Food prepared did not justify the cost of the meal. Steaks were not cooked correctly to order, veggies were scarce and slightly burnt and the mashed potatoes looked like they were chalk full of butter/oil which I didn’t even touch. Until the food quality improves to match what I expect a $100 tab for two should be. I won’t be a returning customer.
It was a perfect evening for a good dinner before leaving our son at University of Oregon. Service was excellent and our table was not too close to other diners. It is a big restaurant but felt intimate. Expensive but worth it.
Our favorite restaurant in downtown Eugene. Great menu. Great food preparation. Exceptional service level and attention to detail.
Fun venue. Railroad theme, I think based on old electric tram system. Friendly staff, great service, and delicious food and drinks. We would definitely go back.
We were there for a late birthday dinner for our dad who turned 88. They were so kind and gracious. They even gave him a bday card and cake. So nice! We stayed past closing and were surely irritating, yet the waiter treated us extremely well. Steaks were amazing.
Great food, Great service. Just a bit over-priced. Drinks are REALLY over-priced but that's where they make their money. Lower your prices a bit, increase your sales.
Overall a nice experience- it’s a historical establishment that has been renovated into a restaurant. Great vibes and interior decor worth checking out. Waiter was very professional and quick. The hostess that helped us wasn’t quite friendly.
Wasn’t busy at all for a Saturday. OES is a staple in Eugene and we wish it luck!!
The food and service was wonderful.
Several of us had the swordfish special which was cooked to perfection. We will be back
Great service, amazing quality food, and the atmosphere was very nice. You can go in shorts or get all dressed up, either is appropriate. Perfect for any event.
Perfect in everything. Food atmosphere service. They were even kind enough to allow us to sit in the train area when there was not a server for the area. Thank you for making my birthday dinner perfect
This was our first trip to Oregon. Our family loved it. The experience was great. Food and atmosphere were awesome.
I have been a long time customer. The remodel modernized the lobby and hall, but the hard surface floors now transmitts the sounds that makes it sound like a junior high cafeteria!
The service, food, and in the rail cars makes it all worth it.
Thanks especially to our waitress Stacy for her personal care making the birthday celebration for our friend a special one!
Outstanding food, from the crab cakes to filet mignon to creme brûlée. It was delicious and service was excellent. We all thank you for a wonderful evening with such good food.
Great place! The food was amazing, and the servers were very polite. The only negative thing was the younger hosts up front acting like they were there against their will, but once you get past them it's awesome.
An expensive restaurant, more expensive than the average upper-end restaurant. Yet, the ambience was excellent; the food nicely prepared, and the server (who had worked there for more than 20 yr), was outstanding.
So I will be back.
I have been to the Oregon Electric Station numerous times throughout the years. I have always received great service and food but my husbands 65th birthday last week was the best experience we have had to date. The staff truly made our experience special. Thank you for being an outstanding restaurant that stands out above the rest.
No more garlic mashed potatoes to accommodate the prime rib.
My prime rib wasn’t as large, thick or tasty as it has been in the past.
The chocolate cake for dessert should have the raspberry on top. It tasted like a Betty Crocker cake mix~nothing special.
But the waitress was wonderful ~ great service.
First time there. My experience was absolutely fantastic. I had a great time!! I would highly recommend it.
This was our first visit after several friends recommended it. It was a wonderful experience, seating, service and quality of food was great.
We where looking for a place for dinner before an show at the Hult center and picked this one based on a lot of good reviews, but left disappointed. Granted, the ambience and service where food overall, but the food left much to be desired. The Mach and cheese was bland, the lamb shank dry and the veggies and grits bland as well. Not sure if it was just an off night, but for the money spent, I would hesitate to return.
Excellent food. Will be going back again soon. I had the Prime Rib, my wife the Sea Scallops. Both were amazing.
Fast service, delicious food, very attentive wait staff!!
This was our 60th wedding anniversary dinner. The food was awesome, wait staff was so pleasant and helpful. Our waitress, Marie, gave us a card signed by the whole staff, a nice touch for a perfect evening.
It has been several years since we have been there and noticed the menu is bigger and better prepared.
A great place to spend a special occasion.
We had dinner in one of the two dining cars inside the restaurant, which was fun. Our waitress was very helpful and the food (Green goddess salad, lamb shank and scallop risotto in our case) was quite good. We asked for boxes to carry home the leftovers.
perfect for a date night, ambiance & romantic. food is on the expensive side but very delicious & worth it!
