Ophelia's on the Bay
Atmosphere was nice; nice waterfront scenery; the service and food were excellent.
Outstanding dinner at Ophelia's on the Bay - Siesta Key.
Rack of lamb sous vide (before and after photos).
Thank you Bill, Cassie and Michael for an outstanding evening!
Very good food Awsome night
The food was outstanding and the service was equally outstanding. Our waiter knew the dishes well and how the Chef prepared each, and gave great recommendations. Very nice setting, very quiet, the bartender did a great job on the drink selections as well. We had an enjoyable time at Ophelias and will be returning.
Ophelia's is always an amazing destination. Food is fantastic and service is usually outstanding.
Have visited Ophelia's several times during our visits to Siesta Key...we always have a wonderful time whatever the weather but this time was extra special as we saw several manatees and a beautiful rainbow. Our food was amazing and service impeccable. A truly memorable last evening before returning to the UK.
Unbeatable atmosphere on Little Sarasota Bay. Went for my daughters 21st birthday. Saw manatees playing just feet from our table the whole time we were there. Giant rainbow while we were eating desert. We couldn’t have ordered a more perfect evening. All that, and the most amazing food you will ever eat!!! Wait staff attentive but not overbearing. Prices reasonable for the unbeatable quality. My favorite celebration spot!
My friend and I celebrated her birthday with dinner at Ophelia's and the food was very good.
I had scallops (4 big ones!) atop some amazing Reggiano stuffed ravioli. My friend had black grouper.
Everything was delicious. Our server recommended two wines to us - chardonnay for me, savignon blanc for my friend and they paired perfectly with our food. It was her birthday and they surprised her with a perfect creme brulee. Can't wait for my next visit.
Also highly recommend the Sunday brunch - terrific!
We had a delicious dinner celebrating my in-laws anniversary. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. We loved the location as well.
We went for our Parents 60th wedding anniversary. Place is nice. But the food and the service was impeccable. Would definitely go back. The whole entire staff was great.
We loved it!!! We’ll be back... often!! The brunch selections were just awesome! A great view of Little Sarasota Bay... true waterfront dining! Great service... nice live music ... I wanted to spend the afternoon!!
VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE MEALS. NOT GOOD AT ALL.
SHAME ON SERVING OYSTER ROCKFELLER WITH THE SIZE OF YOUR OYSTERS, THEY SHOULD NOT BE ON YOUR MENU. WE ASKED THE WAITER IF THEY WERE DECENT SIZE AND HE SAID YES, BUT WHEN THEY WERE SERVED THEY WERE THE SIZE OF A THUMB NAIL.
MY HUSBAND HAD THE SEA FOOD STEW, HE SAID IT WAS NOT GOOD.
I HAD THE LAMB CHOPS, NOT THE BEST. I ASKED FOR MASHED POTATOES IN PLACE OF THE HOME FRIES, WAITER SAID YES, NEVER GOT THEM. IT WAS NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE DINING AT YOUR
We went for a late birthday celebration. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was amazing! The staff actually provided a complimentary glass of champagne, one with a strawberry and candle, to celebrate properly. It was a nice touch to an amazing evening right on the water. The valet actually had our car waiting for us before we walked out. Highly recommend.
Went for a friend's birthday. The duck and scallop entrees were very good and well presented and prepared. It was a bit pricey but we chose a non-descript table and not the view. There is outside dining and window table with a lovely view of the bay. We just chose to be inside. Our server Derrick was very good. He was attentive, but not pushy. He made suggestions and carefully noted our habits and chose a champagne birthday toast for our group instead of a dessert. I would certainly go here again.
Loved everything from the drinks to appetizer to main meal and dessert. We took advantage of the Savor Sarasota options and felt it was a great, delicious deal.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant. Prices are high, food quality fair at best & the outdoor patio is a mess. At $42 for a filet, I expect it to be fork tender instead of stringy & almost tough. There are too many good restaurants in the area (Duvalls comes to mind) at that price to settle for that. The fish that others had was just so-so. Service was spotty. We received an email to celebrate our anniversary there with a free dessert & instead of taking the cost of the dessert we had off, they took our friends' dessert off (which was half the price) that we said we would pay for.
Not the fine dining I expected.
Ophelia's never disappoints! Everything was exceptional!
This place has an awesome view of the bay. The weather was stormy so we had to sit inside but we did get a waterfront view. It was pretty cool that we were able to see 5 dolphins frolicking and eating their dinner during the storm. The food was great but it was quite noisy inside. Definitely prefer dining on the patio. The picture shows a couple of their fabulous desserts.
I have been to Ophelia's a few times and normally it was always a great experience unfortunately this time was horrendous. When we arrived we were told due to the rain they had limited seating. The table they sat us at was cramped and positioned so that I couldn't even sit across from my date. Also, apparently there was a group having their wedding reception there that took up most of the dining space, and they were taking pictures constantly with the flash on their cameras blinding me the entire time. The flashes bounced off the mirrors and no matter where I turned I could not escape them. I covered my face to avoid the constant flashes, but that did not help. I had to excuse myself to the restroom because my vision was so impaired by the camera flashes, and I was in tears. I saw multiple staff members see my discomfort, but not one person checked to see if I was ok. When I returned to the table I switched places with my date, but it still did not get any better. The wedding party also had music playing so they could dance, and it was so loud I could not hear anything my date was saying. Ophelia's was one of my favorite restaurants for dinner, but I have to say that this really has left a huge negative impact on me. If you are going to have such a large group in a small space you should be accommodating to ALL of your patrons, not just the ones in the party. Other tables were complaining about the cramped tables, loud music, and bright flashes as well. Our dining experience shouldn't be horrible because you have a large group there. It's very disappointing that this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had.
The ahi tuna is to die for. The freshest tuna ever!! Order it raw. If you like sushi you will love it.
Outstanding and creative Savor Sarasota Menu. Five stars for presentation and taste. Our server Chris was very attentive and knowledgeable. Will be back soon.
Outstanding food, setting and service from valet parking at the start to receiving the bill at the end. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal and the views across the water.
EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE AND AMBIENCE. GO, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED
This is an iconic restaurant but our food was so salty it was inedible
We were so engrossed in conversation that we asked our Server to make the selections for us. Our meal was outstanding & never once felt we were rushed. Her meal selections were outstanding from the Crab-Cake Appetizer (which she split on her own) to the wonderful desserts.
A nice find. Great cocktails and food, excellent wine list. Outstanding service.
Great food, wonderful staff
We had a lovely meal with friends at Ophelia’s. We had not been there in a long time. They were offering the Savor Sarasota menu and thought it would be a great way to taste the menu. Are we glad that we did!! Would recommend this restaurant. They had Faroe Island salmon which is not easy to find. It was perfectly cooked to both of our tastes. Two members of the party had the appetizer mussels which were very fresh and nicely presented. Creme brûlée for dessert was yummy! Do not miss this relaxing restaurant on the bay. We are sure glad that we did.
They forgot to acknowledge we were celebrating an anniversary. This is the 3RD TIME we went here and put it in a comment area. They NEVER pay attention! I will never cone back. Nor will I tell others!
Enjoyed every minute. Our attendant was a very sweet, professional and attentive young lady. Too bad I can’t remember her name. Sunset colored the skies in a majestic way. Fish were jumping outside the water and we even saw a manatee pass by. The cherry on top was that magical rainbow that overlooked us for the most part of our meal. It was all dream-like. Food was great too. Small portions though, typical of fine dining. Later you realize that you’re actually quiet full because it’s rich food (without being fatty)! We’d definitely visit again next time we’re in siesta key
We have tried for reservations before and probably only able to get them now because of the red tide problems around the Keys. We had no odors from the red tide and enjoyed a wonderful evening outside.
A great experience we had three grandchildren in our party of seven and our server was brilliant with the children as well as the adults. On the down side other servers tended to stand around looking miserable and staring at us as if to say we do not like children in our restaurant, such a pity
We had a delightful everything celebrating our anniversary at Ophelia’s. The ambiance is so nice, the food was great- I had the grouper and my husband had the U-2 scallops. The cocktail selection is fun, huge variety of wine by glass or bottle, lots of entrees to choose from and delicious desserts. We would have loved to dine outside but couldn’t trust the weather on the evening we were there. We sat at a lovely table at the window and got to experience the view. Reservations a must!
Excellent food, great service, best views. The menu has a great selection and prepared exactly as described.
Always a great experience. The servers are great, the food is fantastic and the waterfront seating is superb
The food was good but not as good as before. The ambiance is always nice.
Wonderful meal. We loved Ophelia’s
My fiancé and I heard about the brunch at Ophelia’s and decided to try it out recently. We arrived around 11:30 and were greeted by a friendly and courteous valet. The host staff was warm and welcoming, and offered to accommodate us inside or outside, even offering to move us back inside if we got too warm. The view of the water was incredible, which matched the food, drinks, and service we received. Although we were clearly the youngest patrons there (late 20s & early 30s) we were not treated as such and felt right at home. The only negative aspect I can think of is that we only heard about the complimentary mimosas from the server at the table next to us. All in all, great experience and we will be back!
2nd time to Ophelia’s. Seated outside next to a large bridal party. Waiter kindly and swiftly moved us. Food was very good. Duck was delicious and the sauce was yummy but a bit sweet. The sweet potatoes added too much sweetness to the dish. Our server was excellent.
