Ophelia's on the Bay
We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return. The food was awesome, especially my yellow beet and chèvre salad. The fish selections that we both had were delectable. Nothing but praise for the staff!
Outstanding venue, service and food. Spectacular!
The food and service were outstanding. The restaurant felt a little crowded and the noise level was high, due to the close proximity of several larger groups - 4 to 8 people. In summary, we have a lovely meal but wished it would have been a little quieter - maybe some buffering - cloth panels or drapes or a different grouping of tables, leaving an end or a corner for couples or seating larger groups in another area.
Valet parking a real plus. Sat inside. Very nice room. Both of us had the salmon. It was cooked to perfection. Recommend for a special evening. Couldn’t resist the key lime pie but a little overpriced.
Our favorite restaurant in Siesta Key. Good food, great service, great view.
Our first visit to Ophelia's on the Bay and it will not be our last. Our server, Annette, was terrific. She knew the menu, offered good suggestions, including our wine, and made our visit very memorable. The food was fabulous; fresh greens, unique flavors, perfectly prepared fish, and excellent duck. We will definitely go back.
Elena was our waitress and was very helpful with the menu as we had never been there before. I had the Grouper which was excellent and my husband had duck. The sides were soo tasty. Beautiful location and view
This being our first time , we relied on our waiter Joel for a description of items and recommendations. The grouper and Yellow Fin tuna couldn’t have been better .
We plan on dining there again soon and will be requesting Joel as our waiter .
This is a very good restaurant!
Our server, Dana, was very pleasant and attentive. She was very knowledgable and described menu items in detail. The ambiance was wonderful and the food was great!
We were very pleased. Food was delicious. Highly recommended.
Nice location and view. Good service. Food was creative but pricey
Food excellent as always!
Music was a little too loud and more “casual, pub” type for this restaurant...especially when not many people there.
Service great at first but server hard to find toward end of meal as she was clearing dishes outside. Had to ask for our check 15 mins after finishing dessert. Usually server comes shortly after dessert finished to clear dishes and asks if anything else. Otherwise, she was friendly and welcoming.
I have eaten many times at Ophelias and I have always had a wonderful meal.I dined there Sunday nite and chose the ducking with blueberry compote as it was new on the menu and I am very fond of duck. It was the worst duck I have ever eaten. The meat was tasteless and tough and the blueberry compote was nothing more than loose shriveled up blueberries on the plate. I'm not sure why this was so substandard to all the other meals that I have had but I would think twice with your prices of trying the new menu again. Our waitress was very good and attentive but I didn't have the time to send my dinner back and get something else.
The food at Ophelia's is always outstanding. On Saturday we were celebrating my birthday and our service was just awful. We were sat at a great table and waited for the server to come over for 20 or so minutes. She had been in the area and said nothing too us such as "will be over in a bit" etc. When she finally arrived, no apology, just Hi. She didn't have great knowledge of the wine list. It took another 10 minutes to get our wine. I don't mind a long dinner but this was just bad service. She never came to see how our meals were until the end. Such a disappointment. In addition, she never acknowledge my birthday. Food was great as always but she was not the top notch server we are use to at your restaurant.
One of our favorite go-to places for special occasions or for a great meal, on the water with great service and ambiance
Great Food, Staff and atmosphere
The valet attendants ruined the whole night from the beginning. They were loud, inconsiderate and cursing. Time to clean house. Server was really terrific. Food was good but not a value at all; especially the wine. I’d suggest it for lunch when you can get a better water view than evening when it’s dark and noisy.
Pricey but worth it. Wonderful, innovative food. Cheerful, attentive service. Splendid atmosphere. Can’t wait to go again.
Romantic vacation dinner. Exceeded expectations. Food, service, and ambiance all excellent.
Awesome service from Natalie!! Food was outstanding from appetizer/salad to dessert!
Essen und Service war hervorragend.
Einmaliges Ambiente am Wasser.
Hadn't been to Ophelia's in a few years. The service was very good and the evening was enjoyable.
The Lobster Bisque was excellent and so was the Eggplant Crepes. My husband had the Burgundy Escargots Ophelia as his main dish. He said that the escargot was good but did not care for the puff pastry. I had their vegetarian lasagna entree which was good but had to many mushrooms in it. We will go back one more time and try other appetizers and other entrees.
A must dine restaurant you’ll enjoy!
We love the food and sitting outside. Service was very good!
Had a delicious dinner sitting outside at Ophelias tonight. We shared a Caesar salad that was perfect. I had delicious Diver Scallops over a corn mache.. cooked to perfection .. moist and not dry. My husband had the Lobster trio and it also was yummy. Finished with a perfect Creme brûlée. Will for sure return.
Great food..service was very very disappointing. It was 10+ minutes before our waiter even acknowledged us and it went further downhill from there. We have enjoyed Ophelia’s many many times and this was our first bad experience .
This place is amazing!!! The food, service and the outdoor seating are all 5 star!
The last time we dined at Ophelia's it was a very good experience. This time it was New Year's Eve and we were very disappointed. The food pricing is rather expensive - but if the quality is excellent then it's no problem. Unfortunately, the quality left a lot to be desired. The crab cake appetizer was expensive ($21) but solid. The lobster trio ($45) was rather tough and very difficult to remove from the shell. The sea bass ($38) was good, but a small portion. The vegetables were identical on each entree. I get the fact that the volume of meals served on New Year's is high, but that showed a real lack of creativity. I was expecting that the chef would use this evening to "showcase" his/her skills, but that didn't happen.
We celebrated NYE tonight at Ophelia’s. Our experience was great. Our waiter, Joel, was wonderful!
New Years Eve tradition for us is dinner at Ophelia’s. This year didn’t disappoint. Our server, Ashley, was very helpful in selecting wine as well as commenting on other courses. Our food was delicious and, as usual, had wonderful accompaniments with them. The atmosphere was very festive with many tables of families and revelers. Every course from appetizer to dessert was perfect. What a wonderful place to celebrate the past year while toasting the new one to come.
Not excepting coupons and manager was not professional. Food was average.
New Year’s Eve dinner.
This is our second year spending New Year’s Eve at Ophelia’s on the Bay. It never disappoints. The food is delicious and our server was wonderful. We have never been disappointed. It is a great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. You won’t regret the experience.
Great food and service.. highly recommend
Living now in its reputation. Some entrees good, others were poor like the duck. Bartender did not know dry vermouth from sweet vermouth. Service was good generally.
Jeffrey was an outstanding waiter! Food was fabulous and the ambiance was fantastic. We are outside in a beautiful starry night. Could ask for a better experience.
Wonderful dining experience with friends and family. Our server was outstanding...very proficient with food and wine pairings plus courteous and gracious attention to every detail. We enjoyed an evening of fine dining with delicious entrees and plan on returning soon.
On the pricey side but great location, food and service. Will return.
