Azure Restaurant @ the Intercontinental Toronto Centre
Overall a very positive experience, everything was perfect.
The sauce of the chickpeas was too spicy/salty and did not go well with the salmon !
Food was just ok. I was expecting higher quality. Prices were high for what you got.
a great spot for lunch with a good range of healthy options. Service was spot on, no waiting and they new just when to appear. We ( 2 people) had to get in and out in 60 minutes and they were able to accommodate that with ease.
Friendly, efficient, and thorough service. A pleasant experience all around.
My friend and I ordered the shrimp tagliatelle and were very disappointed. The pasta was severely overcooked and sticking in clumps, no need for a spoon because the noodles were just breaking apart. For dessert we shared a phyllo cheesecake that was dry and flavourless with very little dulce de leche as the menu stated. The service was spectacular and our server was very kind and alert but the food was not as I remembered from a previous visit.
Must have been a bad day because all 3 of us had problems with our food. Waiter was missing in action and never once stopped to ask.
We only complained about 1 of the plates (after flagging down a waiter) because I didn’t want to create the impression that we were finding fault with everything. First 2 plates had the saltiest fries ever seen. It was caked in salt and I couldn’t eat much of it. My work colleague somehow ate his fries. The 3rd plate which was returned had hair in the food! To the credit of the manager they did apologize and replaced the meal and didn’t charge for it. At that point I really didn’t want to also complain about the fries I couldn’t eat. Would’ve looked like I was angling for more free meals.
Like I say it must have been a bad day because I’ve been there before and the food and service was good.
Excellent restaurant with great food. Good for business lunches
Couldn't get attention from waiter originally. Then sat for half an hour with a glass of water which took 10 mins to get. By then restaurant was mostly empty. Then had to wait quite a while for our first drink, then was asked immediately to order. Service pace was off. Restaurant service pacing way of however our waiter was extremely friendly . Then when we ordered wine our first and second choice was out . I ordered a martini and the glass was extremely sticky to hold. Would not recommend or return . Felt it was a waste of money overall .
Had a great meal at a good price and good location as we were going to the Bluma Appel Theatre.
Amazing atmosphere for the new year dinner celebration. Food was incredible as always - service was stunning. 50% off selected wines was excellent.
Took a while before a server noticed us there. Food was okay.
We were seated immediately as we had reservations the table was in a perfect area the service was a bit slow however they were getting prepared for New Year's Eve later dinner meals we were offered a New Year's Eve menu it was very limited we did order it I was surprised that there was no options for children I ordered the prime roast beef medium well and it did come to our table rare disappointed with the food my husband's portion of the Nokia with the truffles was extremely tiny he had to order bread however the ambience and cleanliness was appreciated
This was our first time at O and B, it was recommended and we wanted a nice relaxing dinner after a concert. Our day started badly, we were visiting Toronto from New Brunswick and our car windshield was smashed in the parking garage by vandals. My husband was late getting to the concert as he was trying to get the windshield replaced so we could continue our travels the next day. The concert was great and we arrived at the restaurant and were seated. I have a shellfish allergy and the person next to me was eating crab so we asked our server if we could be moved. My request was granted immediately and we were moved to a quiet little alcove and they seated no one one either side of us! Our food was delicious and in speaking with our server I mentioned that it was a great ending to a day that had started badly and explained what had happened. When the table was cleared our server mentioned that the chef insisted we have dessert on the house to help make the day better! I was so overwhelmed with the kindness that I started to cry! The meal from beginning to end was wonderful....this type of excellent service can not be taught, it is genuine. I recommend O & B!! Thank you so much for showing us what wonderful folks there are in Toronto!
Convenient location and large capacity restaurant for good food while visiting or working in the area. Ambiance is a bit stark. Better with lots of people. I would not consider this a destination restaurant.
Extremely fast service. Cozy and stylish environment. Great food and drinks.
We went for our Wedding Anniversary dinner and advised the restaurant in advance that it was our anniversary. Our appetizer came out before our drink order. It was tasty but not spectacular. Our main course was horrible. We were told the pad Thai was spicy but it was “suicide” spicy and I could t eat it. My husband’s main course was decent but the pot oats side was not edible. Our server was very friendly, but it was not the service we hoped for. I wouldn’t return when there are so many other great restaurants in the city.
Expensive for the food quality. Food choices are limited if you are looking for food other than pub food.
Great food and service. But should offer a non spicy red sauce pasta for kids. As the only red sauce was a little spicy for kids. Other than that excellent.
4 of us went to dinner on Boxing Day. We had appetizer which were good, a bottle of wine which was also good but the 2 pasta dishes were exceptional.
Price was good for what we had and our server Angelo was knowledgeable and his expertise was obvious. We will return and definitely ask for one of his tables. We would definitely recommend this location.
Food was sub-par
Good but not great. We will go back when in the area. Not certain though..thank You
We've eaten here many times before.
No specials were listed by the server.
I ordered a Caesar, no celery or any other accompaniment.
No bread provided.
Service was excellent and the food was very good.
The menu was not impressive for the pricing. Not enough variety in the food items. Food was cooked well and tasted good.
Nice food. Recommend the Cauliflower & Spring rolls apps. Salad was average.
Not what I expected for a quiet Friday night dinner with my wife. May be fine just for lunch.
The server was rude. When we ask him questions if makes us seem stupid. I dont think I will come back.
We were seated near the door and it was a particularly cold evening. My back was to the door entrance which was opened frequently as people arrived throughout the evening. I was chilled and went home feeling lousy.
The mac & cheese was highly recommended and to be accompanied by bacon. I took the server's word for it, as I was in the mood for some "comfort food". It wasn't anything special- I could not distinguish the apparent gouda, gruyere and cheddar mix of cheese and I have had far better mac & cheese elsewhere. The serving was generous and I could barely get through half of it. Recommend that they have half portions so one can maybe have a salad or some other appetizer alongside.
The server was pleasant and I recommended that they do not seat anyone near the door on such cold evenings. He said it might have been to do with the time we arrived, but our reservation was for 5:30pm and there were plenty of other tables we could have been seated at. I realize I could have asked for a different table but we were already near the end of our meal when the chill had really hit my bones.
Install signage which alerts those entering O&B via the internal 33 Yonge Street entrance (i.e. not the Front street entrance) that the maitre'd's desk is actually a few steps beyond the comfy seating area. I arrived early for my lunch date, seated myself on the chairs--and was not greeted. I waited...and waited....then, it slowly dawned on me to explore further. That's when I discovered that the maitre'd's desk is situated for those arriving via Front Street door. Arriving via the internal entrance is not illogical given O&B's street address listed on your website, no?
Recognizing that it’s the holidays and that lunch time is busy but to ask me what I want to drink before I take my coat off is a little much! Please don’t push your staff to that extent. Thanks
They recently changed their menu - this time I had the flatbread pizza and thought it was good (with sopressata), my friend had the margarita pizza and it was just OK, my other friend had the falafel bowl and said it was delicious. The crispy cauliflower as a starter was a large portion for sharing and it was quite tasty. Service is pretty reliable at this location.
Great food & service, really nice restaurant. Mixed crowd, upscale dining, and no complaints all around.
all was good but we specifically asked for the bill 20 mins before leaving for the theatre. didnt come until 15 mins later and we were almost late for our theatre show.
Took at least 15-20 minutes from the time we sat down to get our drinks.
The waiter told us the spring rolls were not fried but they were, we ate them since we were starving.
I ordered the salmon bowl. Very disappointing, salmon was extremely fishy and vegetables were scarce.
We will not be coming back.
Service was impeccable, but the food really is basic and cheap.
The quality of the food and service was awful. We booked an early reservation for dinner and we arrived we were told the kitchen was closed. The manager then came over and sat us in the bar area. There were hardly anyone at the place, yet our food took over an hour to come to the table. As the place started to get filled up, other tables got their drinks and food before us. We talked to our waitress about the delay in the food and she ran away and never came back. We were a party of 5 and 4 out of the 5 got their meal and a simple mac and cheese took another 20 minutes to come. Manager came to apologize, but was not taking the complains seriously and made fun of someone having in our group for having a pineapple allergy. Also, don't have the Steak Bowl, the meat is old and rancid. Overall our experience was awful and we will be coming here ever again and we definitely won't be recommending it to anyone.
Some of the best service I’ve had in a restaurant in ages. Our server was attentive, friendly, informative and charming. I regret I can’t recall his name but he made the experience one of the reasons I’ll be going back to O&B.
Lots of choices, gluten free options for my friend too. Our server was wonderful and very helpful with suggestions.
