Olio e Limone Ristorante, located in downtown Santa Barbara's ARTS District, serves artisanal Italian cuisine. Meaning “oil and lemon” in Italian, their restaurant’s name reflects husband-wife team Alberto and Elaine Morello’s philosophy: rely on the integrity of the ingredients and quality of the preparation to provide Santa Barbara diners “simply sophisticated” Italian cuisine served in an inviting atmosphere with European hospitality. Start with eggplant souffle, then tuck into a plate of house made duck ravioli or Sicilian spaghetti with bottarga. And be sure to take home a bottle of their own olio, an organic extra-virgin olive oil made from Sicilian olive varieties.
Bonus: their contemporary Italian breakfast, lunch & retail spot Olio Bottega, and authentic pizzeria next door at Olio Pizzeria. Private dining in the Cucina Room for up to 40 guests.

    Won't be coming back anytime soon. Special soup of the day was cream of potato, extremely bland. The veal dish was thin and very tough, but the flavor of the sauce was good (tho not as good as the similar dish at an Italian restaurant in Montecito I enjoyed the night before.) We arrived right after opening and there was only 1 other outdoor table. Order taken promptly, but had to ask for water refill and check. even tho we told them we were a bit rushed for time. We expected better food and service.

    Our experience was great. Everyone went over the top in service. The food was delicious and we could talk at a normal level and be heard without a hitch.

    This is my favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara when I am here once or twice a year. Unfortunately tonight even though I had a reservation I made a month ago we were relegated to a tent outside. The service was inattentive. The food was excellent.

    Warm and charming with great food and exceptional service. A locals secret enjoyed by many out of town guests. It’s been our favorite for many years. It’s a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. Enjoy!
